It was a large house and not the easiest to sell, especially in a challenging market — but Russell was excellent throughout. He remained calm, patient, professional and committed even as the process stretched over a difficult year. His local knowledge, honest advice and constant communication made a big difference. We really appreciated the personal service and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

We met with Lauren initially and she explained the whole process. We found Lauren professional in her manner, friendly but also understanding regarding our recent bereavement. We were shown empathy and reassurance. We were guided through each step and we really appreciated advice that was offered. We found Lauren and the whole team at Chancellors Thatcham approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for the team . Our journey from start to finish selling the family home was sad but the team at chancellors supported us throughout making a difficult situation more bearable. Thank you so much

It was a really fun, community focused event, bringing people together, supporting local small businesses and organisations. It was a great success with a large number of completed maps! The money raised will help us provide more funded places / subsidised children's workshops.

22nd Oct 2024 (8 mo. ago)Where to start...We had an appauling service from another estate agent, and by the time we contacted Downers, I had reeached the end of my tether. I was not sure if we were heading into more of the same. However, Downers have been an absolute tonic. Nicky Padbury, being the first person I spoke to, kindly listened to all my worries (almost like some kind of therapist and poor lady), and she put me at ease right away. Nicky then introduced us to Richard. Richard took control and eased us through the marketing and sale of our house in a most professional manner. The photography was excellent; Richard took his time and picked the best weather to take the best shots. Once the brocure has been approved, bookings for viewings started coming through in volume. We had more booked in the first couple of days than we had seen in 3 months from our previous estate agent. The house sold within 10 days of hitting the market with Downer. We really could not be more pleased. Thanks also go to Fraser, who kept us informed of progress and was happy to answer any queeries we had as things moved forward. What a great team!

I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. 4th Jul 2022 (3 years ago)We bought & sold our last house with Halletts 32 years ago so dealing with them again on our present home made us feel very comfortable. They are a great team, nothing is too much trouble for them. We had viewings very quickly when the house was put on the market and these were all professionally handled by either Graham or his son. We were kept informed after every viewing and once a buyer was found, Graham could always be relied upon to speak to the other agents when there were holdups of any kind. The team are very approachable and we would highly recommend this well established Estate Agents 10/10!!
