24th Sep 2024 (17 days ago)STUDENTS BEWARE. The worst experience ever. Disgusting, mould infested flat. No communication - constant emails and phone calls, passed around from person to person. Even collecting my keys the messed up. It was a warning sign of things to come. Now, they are trying to keep my deposit despite the awful state of the flat and it being left in a better state than when we arrived. Constant issues with the flat, a lack luster response always, having to constantly chase different members of staff. I found Mollie-Mae from maintanace and Helen particularly stand offish at times. Along with Rhys. No washing machine for over a month, a broken fridge for weeks on end. An overgrown garden with rubbish tipped all over it (which they are now trying to charge me for!!!), the mould and response was the worst. To the point where it spread to all of my bedding which had to be replaced and I had to buy a bed out of my own pocket! I could go on for pages about the awful treatment. I’m sure there will be some kind of reply trying to state they have ‘never rented to me’ etc like they usually do to dodge culpability. All I can say is avoid them.

10th Oct 2024 (1 day ago)I had an awful experience renting through Kings. First, they illegally took security deposits from two different groups and then tried to make both groups bid on the same property while holding onto their deposits. They overcharged us, and even after a month, we’re still waiting for any response from their accounts team. It’s ironic how fast they confirm payments and release keys, but when it comes to fixing their overcharges, it's taking over a month. I wouldn’t recommend them at all – their communication skills are terrible. Avoid doing business with them if you want a stress-free life. Also, their false advertising is ridiculous (and illegal). They listed the house as fully furnished, but six weeks into the tenancy, it’s still missing essential furniture like curtains, beds, and desks. Despite this, they’re still charging full rent. Absolutely outrageous! Avoid Kings at all costs and find a better rental agency.

Her direct approach leaves you feeling that you have chosen the best person for the job regardless of the outcome. We tried different agents but felt they were just going through the process. Luci lives and loves her job, she is always available for advice, regularly updates and whittles out the time wasters! She is passionate about selling houses and if that’s your aim she will do all that she can to succeed. We didn’t sell but that was definitely not because of her lack of trying, unfortunately the market and our unusual house prevented it, but she never gave up. When we are ready to try again Luci will be the first port of call. Thank you for everything Jane

Lucy was the agent I spoke with most frequently and nothing was too much trouble (especially with all the questions I had due to moving to a new area). All processes were dealt with efficiently and quickly and the key pick process went really smoothly. Would throughly recommend and would like to personally thank Lucy for making a daunting moving-in process much easier!
