20th Oct 2024 (14 weeks ago)John and his team are an amazing bunch of professionals! They guide us through a difficult process of decision making. Everybody involved shared their in-depth knowledge of the area and sale process. That allowed us to make all the right decisions. Due to the situation we were in, the sale process was lengthy. None of that made Horton & Garton team work any less. First sale fell through (due to circumstances out of our control). The Team found the second buyer promptly. House was sold for almost 12% more than the first buyer’s offer and almost 19% more than the asking price! Tremendous success! Outcome: Happy buyers, happy sellers and the Team has moved on with a smile ;)Highly recommend agents! If you hesitate… DON’T! Thank you John, Thank you Louise, Thank you Team
19th May 2022 (2 years ago)We’re first time buyers and John D Wood were selling the home we were buying. We were shown our new home by George who was lovely. Julian in the team managed everything else, and the man is a saint. I was stressed to say the least between work and trying to buy a house in a short timeframe. No matter how testy I got, he was patient, friendly and supportive. I can’t speak highly enough of Julian, and when we eventually sell in the future he’ll be the first person we go to. Julian thank you so much for your amazing service.

15th Oct 2024 (15 weeks ago)I was very happy with the service provided until recently. It has been 2 months after my rental contract official ended and I still don’t have my deposit back. I’ve spent hours and hours trying to reach them via email and phone calls and they don’t treat my request or my money very seriously.

Not only because of the professional attitude and successful track record but because there was a personal touch and an understanding of our family circumstances. This continued when we met the rest of sales team on a home visit and we were delighted that Hulya was our point of contact. Our flat sold promptly and for the top end of our valuation. Hulya also worked hard to find us the right property to purchase. Hulya was attentive to our wish list and ‘got us’ right away. She supported us brilliantly with our successful offer. With both our sale and purchase, Hulya always answered the phone, was proactive when needed and had a positive attitude. We highly recommend Sargeants.

From an initial meeting with John Horton himself to Stuart in the Chiswick office seeing me through to completion I felt informed and looked after. Stuart was great - really helpful, communicative and extremely efficient at sorting any niggles. H&G’s local knowledge and personal touch made the whole process go really well and I highly recommend them.
4th Jan 2025 (22 days ago)I couldn’t have hoped for a better experience selling my house than the one I had with Paul from Moveli. As someone who himself lives nearby, he deeply understood the local market and how best to communicate the most salable features of the property to potential bodies. I really appreciated his friendly, down-to-earth approach and constant availability, even on the weekends. Being able to rely his advice and expertise from start to finish made the whole process incredibly smooth. In the end, he was able to negotiate an offer that was significantly over the asking price. I would highly recommend him as the premier estate agents in the ‘between the commons’ area.
18th Mar 2024 (10 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
29th Oct 2024 (13 weeks ago)I instructed Whitman and Co to sell my Chiswick house and I am extremely satisfied with the outcome and their excellent service. From the first interaction to the completion of the sale, they were professional in all their dealings with me and were active with the marketing of the property all the way through and they achieved the sale within the timescales that I set and for a price that was in line with initial guidance. All the team, James and Chris and particularly Andy Ogden represented my interests extremely well and I have no hesitation in recommending Whitman & Co for any Chiswick house sale. They know the Chiswick market extremely well.
30th Oct 2024 (13 weeks ago)We used Stirling Ackroyd to rent a flat in Chiswick, everything was fine with them in finding somewhere, but my real problem has been with them in after leaving, landlord agreed to release our full deposit back but Stirling Ackroyd have been utterly useless in giving our money back, completely unresponsive to emails and to give the final kick we have been told they have an IT issue and it is not likely to be resolved soon, certainly not within 2 weeks of the landlord instructing them to release the deposit. How hard can it be for a professional organisation like this to process payments quickly and efficiently? Certainly never had this problem with previous estate agents who would process the payments in a quick and fair manner. I understand that we are no longer clients of them so they probably don't care as much but to be honest the next time I will need the requirements of an estate agent in Chiswick then these guys will be the last ones I turn to.
