13th Jul 2026 (16 days ago)AVOID THIS AGENCY!!!<br>From the very beginning, this agency proved to be rude and unprofessional in every interaction. Simple requests took days to get even a basic response, which set the tone for the entire experience.<br>At check-in, the apartment was in horrendous condition, nowhere near what was advertised. What followed was weeks of back-and-forth just to get them to replace broken and dirty supplies that should never have been an issue in the first place.<br>Once our stay ended, the deposit return process turned into an absolute nightmare. We waited days for replies, and when we finally got them, different agents contradicted each other and gave us conflicting information. On top of that, they deducted cleaning fees from our deposit without ever providing an invoice to justify the charge.<br>Overall, an incredibly frustrating and stressful experience from check-in to check-out. I would strongly advise against booking through this agency — the lack of professionalism, communication, and transparency made what should have been a simple stay into a prolonged ordeal.

From the very first viewing, he was incredibly friendly, professional and genuinely helpful, always taking the time to answer our many questions without ever making us feel rushed. He was honest and knowledgeable, which made the whole process much less stressful. We were truly grateful for all the time and effort he put into helping us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Duncan to anyone looking for a property in London. Thank you again!

Repairs were constantly delayed—I was left without heating for 8 weeks during winter, and maintenance issues were never resolved on time. Communication was poor, and staff rarely responded properly. To make matters worse, they entered my flat with their management key for a viewing without my consent. Completely unprofessional and a serious breach of trust. I would not recommend Foxtons to anyone.

From the first viewing, he knew all the answers to our questions, and once we agreed to rent the property, he worked super quickly to get us in within a week. Once in, he has been extremely responsive to any questions or issues we’ve had, sorting some maintenance issues while we were away, and nothing feels like too much trouble. It’s honestly been such a refreshing experience! Would 100% recommend Anthony, it couldn’t have gone any better ??????

We were new to the UK and were having great difficulty getting anyone at agencies across the city to speak with us. Ben accepted us as walk-ins and allowed us to see several units. He was fantastic at communicating with everyone and the vendor offering honest and transparent advice.<br><br>They say an estate agent's real work starts after the sale is agreed to keep all parties posted, and Philip did this brilliantly. We always knew exactly where we stood despite the complexities, highly recommend.
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

19th Jun 2026 (6 weeks ago)Very disappointing experience.<br><br>I paid a holding deposit, completed the referencing and background checks, and was sent a draft tenancy agreement to sign. I was also contacted and informed that everything was fine and that the final contract would be sent shortly.<br><br>Based on these assurances, I gave notice to my current landlord to vacate my existing property.<br><br>After waiting for around two weeks, I unexpectedly received an email indicating that the property was still available. It appeared that the property continued to be marketed despite my holding deposit having been paid, the referencing process having been completed, and a draft contract having already been signed.<br><br>What was most concerning was the lack of communication. At no point was I proactively informed that there was an issue or that the tenancy might not proceed. Had I not received that email and followed up myself, I could have been left without confirmed accommodation after already serving notice on my current home.<br><br>This situation caused significant stress and uncertainty and could have had serious consequences. I would strongly advise future tenants not to give notice on their current property until they have a fully executed tenancy agreement and written confirmation that everything is finalised.
