29th Aug 2026 (19 days ago)Very disappointing experience with PMS Estate Agency – would not recommend<br><br>Our experience with PMS Estate Agency was extremely disappointing, particularly when it came to maintenance, communication and the charges proposed at the end of our tenancy.<br><br>When we moved into the property, we immediately reported mould on the ceiling and a non functioning ventilation system in the toilets. We were advised to open the windows, but the ventilation issue was not properly addressed until almost three years later, when we told them we were leaving.<br><br>We also experienced a serious hot water problem. The shower would repeatedly stop providing hot water, and despite contacting the agency several times, the issue took around one month to resolve. This was during the winter, and the situation became so difficult that we had to go to the gym to shower. In our experience, maintenance requests were often met with delays and repeated chasing.<br><br>The biggest issue came when dealing with our £1,615 deposit. PMS initially proposed deductions of £1,409, which we strongly disputed because we did not believe many of the claimed costs were our responsibility.<br><br>For example, we were charged £180 for carpet cleaning, even though the carpet had been replaced with a brand new one only around a week before we left the property.<br><br>We were also told that £400 was being charged for kitchen cleaning. We had cleaned the property before leaving and therefore questioned whether this amount was reasonable. We asked for proper evidence and receipts to support these charges.<br><br>There was also a significant rent increase of around £250 after the first year, which added to our overall dissatisfaction with the tenancy.<br><br>Overall, we felt that once the tenancy was underway, communication became very difficult and maintenance issues were not dealt with within a reasonable time. The proposed end of tenancy charges were also, in our opinion, excessive and required us to challenge and question them.<br><br>Based on our experience, we would not recommend PMS Estate Agency. If you do rent through them, I strongly recommend keeping records of every maintenance issue, taking photographs and videos of the property, keeping all correspondence and carefully checking any proposed deductions from your deposit.

29th Aug 2026 (19 days ago)Moat Housing did not take seriously my complaints about my next door neighbour harassing my cat for months back in 2023. Google would not let me post photos showing the state of my cat from July to December 2023 during which time the neighbour was intimidating him to get at me because she did not want me (and other neighbours) to walk on the communal grass behind the block of flats, so to put me off she targeted my innocent cat. My cat became terrified of her, only her and not other neighbours. I was forced to move out after just 11 months. The Moat Housing building in Tunbridge Wells where I lived looks like a Victorian prison. Moat did not maintain the building exterior in the 11 months I lived there. The communal areas were very depressing. Most also did not take seriously about an Asian neighbour male neighbour who came out wearing nothing but a piece of cloth.

A special mention of Amie here, who went above and beyond to keep things on track throughout (and reassurance for me when I needed it at times in the sale process). We also used their reccomended solicitors who were absolutely fantastic too.<br><br>When it came to photographs of the property, David was very knowledgeable about styling the house and we were able to sell within 2 days of being on the market. We are now in our absolute dream house and are very happy that we used Park Lane.

Very knowledgable as you would expect but friendly with it always on hand to offer advice in both rentals and selling. As they say “ you get what you pay for” you get more than what you pay for with this company. A pleasure to have watch them grow into what they are now .

Especially Debbie, who did the checks during our tenancy, her communication, knowledge and action was 1st class. The paperwork process initially was clear and simple. We reported faults and they were acted upon with expediency. When the in home checks were carried out Debbie made me feel comfortable whilst identifying or pointing out issues and solutions. I couldn’t have asked for a better agent. Seems like a lovely company to work with based on my experience, we rented via Oliver Minton for 15months. I would recommend highly.

The team really do know the local market, and I had a sale agreed in excess of the asking price within 3 weeks of going on the market.<br><br>Tom, Liz, Carol and the whole team continued their support through the whole process until completion day. They really did make the process as stress-free as possible, and Carol worked very hard to progress the sale. Very helpful having the office located locally in the village so that you’re able to drop in when it’s needed.

29th Jul 2026 (7 weeks ago)My experience with Danny Fisher and Fisher Estates has been extremely disappointing.<br><br>Communication has been consistently poor, with emails often ignored for weeks. On one occasion I had six emails unanswered, and as I write this my latest email has been ignored for over 6 weeks.<br><br>I paid for a full management service but received very little management. Over more than two years I received only one inventory report. On another occasion I was sent the inventory report for an entirely different property, and despite raising this, I never received the correct report. I also received no regular inspection photos, videos or property updates.<br><br>I remain £300 out of pocket following a cleaning deduction that still hasn’t been properly explained or supported with invoices, despite repeated requests.<br><br>After exhausting the company’s complaints process, I have now referred the matter to The Property Ombudsman. This review reflects my own experience.
