I recently rented a property in Canary Wharf through Hunter & Broomfield, and I was consistently impressed by their professionalism and service throughout my tenancy. From the initial viewing to the day-to-day management of the property, the team demonstrated exceptional courtesy, professionalism, and attention to detail. The property itself was exactly as described – clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The accuracy of their listing gave me complete confidence in their integrity as a company. The living environment they created was pleasant and conducive to professional life in London. I was particularly pleased with the quality of housemates that Hunter & Broomfield matched me with. All were presentable, professional, and considerate individuals, which speaks volumes about the company's careful tenant selection process. 21st May 2026 (24 days ago)I am really surprised by this rate. This agency provides the worst service. Actually, it doesn’t provide anything, it just takes money from tenants. The houses are full of rodents, and pest control never visits despite all the complaints from tenants. The internet is not working properly, which prevents people from working from home. The food bin has been full for more than two months, and no one has taken it away. Where else should tenants complain to ensure basic safety standards are met? If nothing is fixed, I will upload photos so other people can see the conditions.

28th May 2026 (17 days ago)I strongly advise anyone considering this estate agency to avoid them entirely. My family and I were left without hot water for four months due to the agency’s complete lack of communication and failure to respond to emails or address urgent maintenance issues. To make matters worse, after moving out of the property, my deposit was withheld for an additional four months without being properly protected or returned. The situation became so serious that we were forced to involve solicitors and are currently pursuing legal action in order to recover our deposit and seek compensation. The individual primarily responsible for the lack of communication throughout this ordeal was Muniza Adam, whose failure to respond or provide support caused significant stress and inconvenience to my family. If you value professionalism, lawful handling of deposits, and basic communication from your estate agent, I strongly recommend avoiding this agency. ZERO STARS
16th May 2026 (29 days ago)RUN AWAY from this agency. I had a deeply disappointing experience dealing with Mr. William Delaney, Anne Hughes, and Coopers of London during a serious disrepair issue involving leaks, water damage, lack of hot water, and pest concerns. Communication was consistently confrontational, dismissive, and completely lacking professionalism. Rather than addressing urgent tenant concerns constructively, Mr. Delaney repeatedly minimized issues and adopted a hostile tone in written correspondence. We documented everything carefully with photographs, videos, and emails, which were later escalated. Instead of resolving the issues, the agency argued technicalities and unreasonable terms. We endured over 3 months of disruptive construction works while still being charged full rent, despite parts of the property — including the bathroom — being unusable. We were simply told to use a nearby gym bathroom, which was unacceptable. There were also repeated access attempts without proper consent or coordination, creating significant stress and disruption. During COVID, as an asthmatic tenant trying to avoid unnecessary exposure, I requested viewings take place in our presence and provided multiple alternative time slots. Instead of handling this respectfully, William insulted us and my medical concerns were qualified as “spurious.” He went ahead to the viewing without our consent. As tenants, we remained cooperative and repeatedly tried to accommodate access and repairs. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a property agency, and I would strongly discourage anyone from renting through Coopers of London. 10th Nov 2021 (4 years ago)Terrible communication, we waited over a year for a repair, another time a random person was sent and not a professional to deal with infestation, or they ordered a new oven without even checking the size so when it arrived it wouldn't fit.. I'm so glad the landlord finally decided to cancel the contract with them.
19th Mar 2026 (12 weeks ago)Everytime I enquire about a property for sell this agent is advertising. The first question they ask is 'Do you have a property for sell'. They take all your personal details and at the end don't give a date for viewing. This happened on several occasions, I have now stopped enquiring. I believe this is a fishing tactic to get peoples information and if they can find a person who is looking to sell. I would not ever buy or sell a property through them.

28th Mar 2026 (11 weeks ago)I’ve had a nightmare experience with john co since the very beginning. First, they were incredibly inefficient with the move-in process, delaying my tenancy start date by three weeks and leaving the property vacant for that entire time. What makes this even more ridiculous is that they failed to carry out mandatory safety inspections (EICR, Gas Safety, EPC) during those three weeks of vacancy. Instead, they have contacted me three times in just my first three weeks of living here, demanding access for various contractors. It feels as though they are using me as an unpaid property manager to coordinate their overdue maintenance. If you value your time, privacy, and mental peace, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Their management is a complete mess.
14th May 2026 (4 weeks ago)DO NOT trust this company if you are a renter. We moved into a flat with the stated intention of living there longterm, and as soon as we moved in, there were serious and major safety issues (exploding plug sockets, broken appliances, dangerous floor-level windows that opened to a sheer fall). Despite our intention to stay longterm, the landlord clearly had no intention of actually doing his job. He was slow and unresponsive on high-priority repairs, and the HSC staff were little help. He put the house on sale within a few months of living there, then issued a no-fault eviction notice, which rendered most of our time in the flat into a de facto show home. Aside from the general rudeness and incompetence of the staff, it is crystal clear to me that — if you are a renter — Hurford Salvi Carr have no interest in you, other than to siphon as much money out of you as possible. Avoid at all costs.

Thank you so much, highly recommended (and I’ve met with a lot of lettings agents and had some very mixed experiences so that doesn’t come lightly!).

What should have been a straightforward transaction became a complicated chain with numerous delays, but Waqas stayed on top of everything from start to finish. He was always available, always chasing updates and always looking for solutions. There were times where we were probably his most demanding buyers, but he remained patient and professional throughout. Thanks to his efforts, we have now completed on what will be our forever family home. Highly recommended and genuinely one of the hardest-working estate agents we’ve dealt with.

While they were representing the seller, they went above and beyond to help me as a buyer navigate what can often be a stressful and complex process. Communication throughout was timely and consistent — emails were answered promptly and viewings were always punctual. Whenever I had questions or needed clarification, they were quick to connect me with the right people to resolve any ambiguities, and they accommodated all of my information requests without hesitation. They were instrumental in helping me gather everything my lender required and in assisting my solicitor with their enquiries, which kept the process moving forward smoothly.
