It was a very sad time for the family as our parents are both now in a care home with Dementia and the guys were very thoughtful, caring and supportive throughout the process We cant thank them enough and highly recommend to anyone buying or selling locally

She was both friendly and professional and offered good communication throughout our dealings. So I can not speak for the rest of Proffitt and Holt as an agency, as I only really dealt with her and she was a very good representive and ambassador of them.

From start to finish, she was incredibly professional, organised, approachable and reassuring.<br><br>Moving home can be a very stressful experience & ours was no exception, but Rebecca made the whole process feel so much easier. She kept me informed, answered all my questions patiently and was always there when I needed guidance or reassurance. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble for her.<br><br>What really stood out was how caring and understanding Rebecca was. She genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled as smoothly as possible, and I always felt that I was in safe hands.<br><br>Rebecca is a credit to the company, and I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending her to anyone going through a move. Thank you, Rebecca, for making what could have been a very stressful experience so much more manageable.

20th Oct 2025 (1 year ago)When I enquired about a property’s asking price and the seller’s position, I was met with terse, dismissive replies from the female agent I spoke to on the phone - a remarkably unhelpful attitude towards a serious buyer. I decided to proceed with the viewing regardless, but communication remained poor throughout. Afterwards, I submitted a formal offer, which was completely ignored. I never received any confirmation or follow-up, and it appeared my offer may not even have been passed to the vendors - which, if true, would be a breach of legal duty. The overall experience suggested a lack of basic organisation, professionalism, and integrity. For sellers, that should be alarming; for buyers, it’s simply exasperating. I would strongly advise caution when dealing with this agency.
9th Sep 2026 (8 weeks ago)Unfortunately we weren’t successful in selling the property but the team were punctual, friendly and reliable. We did come close to making a sale and the team were great in terms of updates and how the process was managed. The only improvement for me was that I never saw our flat promoted as a premium placement on Rightmove/Zoopla, and I would have liked to have receive the monthly performance reports (I work with data so this may be a me-preference rather than what most people want. I requested it once but it was never proactively offered)

24th May 2023 (3 years ago)Very poor level of service from day one until departure. Failed to look after our best interests as customers paying rent and basically had to deal with poor customer service throughout. Approach with extreme caution.

13th Oct 2025 (1 year ago)Sonia Estates could not wait longer than two weeks after my husband’s passing to start their plot to scam me. Informed me that minor repairs needed to rent after the contract expired. No deposit money given to me as they retained it! They ran up 8000 pounds( 12,000 pounds is what they demanded initially) worth of non existent repairs without my permission. When I disputed it, they secretly rented out my home and had no intention of informing me about it, nor of paying me rent!! They also had the secret idea of letting the home out to Capital Living who would charge us a commission, and Sonia would very kindly keep collecting another 7 percent commission too! This was only revealed to me after months of questioning Sonia Estates. They then threw away all of my furniture and asked me for an additional 15,000 pounds to furnish it again! So, they tried to make almost 27,000 pounds from the death of my husband! Sonia Estaes lied to the Ombudsman who accepted their lies that all of the above arrangements were agreed upon by me over a phony phone call! Even though I won the case, they were asked to pay me only 150 pounds! They now keep getting my Google review deleted!

31st Aug 2026 (9 weeks ago)Would appear the house was over valued by the estate agent so setting wrong expectations about what price could be achieved. Minimal viewings Person showing the house (not the exp lead) arrived at the same time as the potential buyers so house wasn’t opened up or displayed to best advantage No communication from the estate agent I would not use exp again. Very disappointed.

27th Aug 2026 (9 weeks ago)We chose Signature Estates in Bovingdon and we are so happy we did. They were so helpful from start to finish, in a truly difficult market. Once we had accepted an offer, Craig, Emma and Harry were all so helpful at talking us through all the stages, liaising with solicitors and the estate agents of the house we were buying. Any questions or queries, they were ready with answers. Plus they are all very friendly and easy to get along with. Couldn't have done it without them.
26th Oct 2026 (6 days ago)I had an excellent experience with Hopcroft Property Experts. The team were incredibly attentive, responsible and professional throughout the whole sale/purchase process. From the initial viewing all the way to completion, everything was wrapped up in under two months, and I was able to move in exactly within my desired timescale. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

30th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)Not only did we sell through Spenser residential but we bought through them too!<br><br>Selling:: Jamie went above and beyond regarding viewings, times that suited both the buyers and us, He really took his time getting the right photos and researching our area, he was informative, honest and was always reachable directly when you needed him as opposed to getting passed from pillar to post with an agent!<br>He kept us informed the whole way through our sale (and it was a long one) he remained positive, patient and invested , he even kept on top of the legal side to help us get our sale over the line!<br><br>Buying:: After our onward property falling through very close to exchange via another agent we had a chain of buyers and no house to go to…..we were at the point of giving up when Jamie and Brooke went out and leaflet dropped at a number of houses we liked in area in the hope they could repair the chain for us all , and that they did!! ??????<br>We found our dream home from a very lovely family Brooke put us in touch with , and the last bit ran ever so smoothly, thanks to the updates and communication from Spensers!<br><br>I can’t thank them enough,<br>And I can’t recommend them highly enough either!<br><br>They really do care! From first contact we found them to be honest and realistic on valuation, and within a short time offers were made and finally a sale.<br>During this process we found Morgan & Rosie Withers to be extremely helpful and professional.
