I contacted David Doyle because they were the local agents for the area that the property was in and had good reviews.
They valued the property, gave good advice and within 1 day of producing their very professional sales brochure of the property, I had an offer which after some negotiation managed by David Doyle staff , I accepted.
This was a challenging sale as it was held up initially by the pandemic, but the staff were good with communication. I had 2 very minor issues. Firstly, the agreed commission was not reflected in the sales document and I had to go back to them to have this amended. The second was that some of the communication that should have been between the buyer and my solicitor was directed through me, which was not always convenient.
However, in very challenging times, David Doyle staff got the property sold with very little delay. Well done!

What should have been a simple, straight forward, ‘no chain’ sale, has been nothing more than a very costly nightmare! We accepted an offer on our house back in August, with the stipulation of a 28-day exchange. We aren’t in a chain, & neither are our buyers. We’re now three months in, & we’re making little headway. The ‘Sales Progressor’ has not lived up to his Job Title, he doesn’t return calls, he doesn’t respond to emails. He doesn’t know when we’ll be able to exchange or complete, he’s not even sure when our buyer’s mortgage will land on an ‘Admin persons desk’ for review. Alarm bells should have rung when I had to chase three or four times for viewing feedback, following each appointment. David Doyle seem to forget that I am the client, & the one paying their commission, as everything to date has been in our buyer’s favour. Hopefully this review will spark a response from the Business Owner, but I sincerely doubt it will, communicating with your vendors isn’t really your thing!
