17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)What a different way to sell a home, with supportive, gentle and trustworthy people. We’d been mulling over the idea of relocating out of London for years and even discussed putting our home on the market with Unique previously. What we like is that there is no big sales pitch, no pressure to sell, just listening and responding. But more importantly, keeping both our buyers and us calm, communicative and friendly throughout the sale, so it felt as smooth as it could possibly be. We’re not planning to do move again any time soon, but we’d definitely use Unique if we were.

Any questions I had they answered quickly and I felt they went the extra mile to follow up with both parties solicitors and any other third parties involved in the process. Clare and Miles made my buying experience very smooth.

The team Dennis and expecially Mark were very professional, knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the entire process. They made what can often be a stressful experience feel straightforward and manageable. Communication was excellent and they were always available to answer any questions. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell their property. Thank you for such an excellent service.
2nd Jun 2026 (19 days ago)As buyers, we found Robsons to be inflexible and unprofessional. We were chain-free, serious buyers in a good position, looking at high value family homes. As we have two small children and both work full time, we were somewhat limited as to when we could view houses. However we managed to arrange it so that we could spend a few Mondays in the area, without kids in tow. There were several houses we wanted to see with Robsons but were informed (rudely) over the phone that Mondays simply weren't possible as it was their admin day. We were eventually given one viewing late on a Monday. The agent turned up late, with a cigarette dangling out of the window, struggled to find the keys and then gave us a very surly tour. We never got to see the other houses that we were VERY interested in, and ended up buying in a nearby village through a different estate agent. I'm sure demand in Amersham is high enough that they do fine, but I was shocked by how unhelpful they were given how keen and able we were to buy.

Ours was a complex case but Ian & Denise’s support made every step hassle-free and resulted in an outcome that was best for all. The whole team’s communication and professionalism throughout has been outstanding and we cannot recommend the firm highly enough!

He went out of his way to help us every step of the journey, with a level of care and professionalism that is genuinely rare. 3rd Jun 2026 (18 days ago)I rented a flat through Hadlands which was managed. The property manager was courteous at all times and acted promptly to ensure any issues were resolved in a timely manner. The maintenance man was knowledgeable, efficient and very polite. I was notified in a timely manner about anything to do with rental/lettings details which ensured I was able to comply with requests easily and efficiently. I would highly recommend Hadlands as letting agents as they perform well above any recommended standard.

Always available, always charming, always diligent in following up the slightest lead. Niral gave me excellent helpful advice throughout, and either he or his assistant Nikki were always available whenever I had queries. Niral was very prompt in dealing with all issues as they arose. I would have no hesitation in using them again.
31st May 2026 (21 days ago)Winkworths were great at finding prospective buyers for our Mothers home in Beaconsfield and secured a buyer in May 2025. That was the easy bit! We then had the most extraordinary family delays over probate and finding lost documents - and Justin at Winkworths had the tricky task of trying to keep our buyer on board - for a year! Somehow, through excellent and honest communications at all times with all parties, Justin managed this, and we finally completed on the sale this month to our original buyer. Thank you very much Justin and team!
11th Jun 2026 (10 days ago)I had a viewing booked for a property which was around 40 minutes to get to from my previous location. However, i arrived 15 minutes early and waited to be seen. I was there for 45 minutes, called and emailed the agency several times and left voicemails, knocked on the property but still no avail. They left me to stand outside a property, and to make it worse, no one messaged after with an apology or explanation. Do not go with agency, unprofessional is an understatement

12th Jun 2026 (9 days ago)Repeated failures, ignored emails, unreturned calls — do yourself a favour and avoid. Using Gibbs Gillespie has been nothing but a disaster. This has been the worst professional experience I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I appointed Gibbs Gillespie to manage my property, but in practice I encountered repeated failures and ended up having to manage the property, the tenant and the contractors myself. The complaints process has been equally poor. In my experience, Gibbs Gillespie failed to take proper responsibility or deal with the live issues in any meaningful way. I recently dealt with Aston and Eve but have had a long list of property managers as people end up leaving the company. I have also been passed between a long list of property-management contacts, with limited continuity or ownership. Whatever the internal reason, the result for me as a landlord was confusion, delay and constant re-explaining. My experience was repeated failures, ignored emails, unreturned calls, poor ownership and a complete lack of diligence. One urgent issue took over 30 days before I even received sight of a quote. By that point, emails had gone unanswered, the tenant was escalating, and I had to step in from overseas to resolve it myself. When I asked for an explanation for the delay, there was simply no proper response. Sadly, this was far from isolated. Almost every interaction involved repeated chasing and begging for someone to respond to an email. This has left me out of pocket as landlord. For example, damage relating to insurance claims was not passed on to me in a timely manner. They also asked me to choose tile replacements without including the attachments, failed to respond properly to my chasers, and I have been left with a poorly finished bathroom. The tenant has had an equally poor experience. The tenant’s complaint appeared to go unacknowledged, and his requests were not passed to me in a timely manner. Gibbs were so ineffective that the tenant and I had to communicate directly, completely undermining the point of having a property management agent at all. Their attempt at fixing a bathroom leak involved six different call-outs, all paid for by me, a multi-thousand-pound bill, and I have been left with tiles that do not match the size, finish or texture of the bathroom. In my view, the end result has materially damaged the finish of the room. The complaints process has also been woefully inadequate. I raised serious service failings and expected proper investigation and accountability. Instead, I received process-heavy replies, requests to provide more evidence, and vague assurances while the live issues remained unresolved. In my opinion, Gibbs Gillespie’s property management service has been completely inadequate. I paid for a managing agent, but ended up having to repeatedly chase, resolve issues myself and speak to the tenant directly. Do yourself a favour and avoid.

Henne in particular deserves a mention - she really helped when our chain was dragging by communicating up and down the line and keeping us informed every step. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
21st May 2026 (4 weeks ago)After nearly a year of stress, delays, and a very long property journey, we finally completed on our new home this Monday, and I honestly can’t thank the team at DKH Rickmansworth enough. What makes this even more impressive is that they weren’t even my estate agents, they were acting for the sellers. Yet throughout the entire process, Josh, Hannah, and Beth treated me with the same care, communication, and professionalism as if I were their own client. There were times during this move where things became incredibly frustrating, but DKH were always helpful, responsive, reassuring, and genuinely seemed to care about getting the move over the line for everyone involved. In all honesty, I had a far better experience with them than I did with my own estate agents. The team went above and beyond from start to finish, and even the thoughtful gift at the end was a really lovely touch after such a long slog. If I ever move again, I genuinely wouldn’t hesitate to use DKH Rickmansworth myself. A huge thank you again to Josh, Hannah, Beth, and the whole team. Wishing you all the best and continued success.
