Staff are very friendly to deal with and if your buying it is literally a big boy's toys r us. Highly recommend either process with H J Pugh & Co.

From the first management of the bidding process to the handover of the keys on completion Tom’s was a calm and reassuring voice. We are confident that he served the Vendors well but from the moment our offer was accepted we felt he was on our side too. The very few issues were smoothly managed. A personal touch throughout.

He showed an interest as I showed him around and had some very helpful advice for me. They keep you well up to date and it is never too much trouble for them if you call. They are an impressive team.

1st May 2026 (6 weeks ago)Charles requested proof of funds before allowing us to view a property, which we promptly provided. Since then, we’ve been completely ignored despite leaving voicemails, sending texts, and emailing multiple times without any response. This level of service is extremely disappointing—particularly for an agent of this calibre—and falls well below the standard we would expect, especially when compared to other Knight Frank offices.

Nothing was too much trouble and a great deal of 'hand holding' was necessary as this was the first time I had done this. Alison took great care to keep me informed at every stage and was available whenever needed, with no question too surreal. She even carefully re-homed my gander! I would call that above and beyond. No hesitation in recommending Alison & team at Character & Country who made a very difficult effort so much easier than it might have been. 12 out of 10.
