William H Brown - Lowestoft

This is my first time moving into a property of my own with my partner and i must say William H Brown have been excellent. My hat goes off to Gina who has answered every question i have thrown at her and been more than helpful and accommodating. She stuck with me every step of the way and ensured i understood everything and was comfortable with all the decisions i was making. She has even agreed to be at the office bright and early on my moving day to give me the keys as knows i have a tight schedule. I would highly recommend Gina and the team to any first movers who are looking to make this big step with the reassurance you will always be supported.... Read more

One of the most expensive fees charged in the local area. Not actually sure what we paid for as there not even managing the property. Would avoid if looking to rent far better service and value for money at other local estate agents.... Read more

Brian was absolutely fantastic. Within 2 days I was set up the offer accepted. It literally took an afternoon to find and get a new rental property that is absolutely perfect. The man is a legend. Cannot recommend enough.... Read more

Almost impossible to arrange a viewing with them, they can't find the houses they have listed. The one time time they arranged a viewing for us they first cancelled it because they forgot to tell the vendor, rescheduled and failed a second time because they forgot their keys. They only told us last minute when we were either at or on our way to the property. The woman responsible hardly apologized but blamed a colleague over and over. Awful, awful, awful. I don't understand how they can stay in business.... Read more

It's always nice when someone provides a level of service beyond what you'd normally expect. As property owner who lives out of the country having a great management service is a fantastic bonus. I especially want to give mention to Emma Meiring who has provided exceptional service on a number of occasions.... Read more

A nightmarish move with problems still over a week later. All of our problems began when the night before our move-in date, we were told that we can’t move into the property. Less than 24 hours from moving! We had to rearrange van rental and accomodation, in a pandemic no less. We were given a new move-in date but in the days leading up to that point we received zero communication from the manager, who was dealing with our case, about if that new move-in date was set in stone and when/if we can pick up the keys. The staff at the branch, who had no idea about our situation, eventually confirmed we could actually pick our keys up: we were told this, yet again, the night before the move-in date. The property was fine, lots of little things to add to the inventory but we were initially happy with the flat. Again however, due to zero information and communication we couldn’t access water and electric meters or even the bin store on site! I had to ask a neighbour the code to the bin store as they were dropping off rubbish themselves. The heating took some time to figure out and we thought we got the hang of it. But we’ve lately had no hot water, and after having an engineer come round, we’re still having problems. After contacting Leaders, we’ve been told we have to wait over the weekend to have someone check out our hot water problem, that it’s not even confirmed to be then, and that we just have to deal with it. We also have problems with some of our heaters in some of the rooms as know one seems to know how the heating and hot water actually works in this property. The incompetence of the branch manager, the zero information provided from any of the staff, and the lack of communication has led to the worst move I’ve ever had and the worst experience with a letting agency.... Paul Hubbard Estate Agents - Lowestoft

To build a large development causes a certain amount of stress, it is not as easy as it looks. You don't need to worry so much when halfway through the build, 90% of the properties are sold off plan, with certified mortgages and deposits paid. This has been my experience with Paul Hubbard Estate Agents, I wouldn't go anywhere else. The tag line I hear from them is, "giving the same customer service I expect to receive myself"...other agents (in fact other businesses) could learn from that statement.... Read more

As a property developer time is of the essence and results are imperative. Minors and Brady from the offset, provided a first class service. My property was sold within a week to a suitable purchaser. Bradley set up a WhatsApp group as he knew I was busy and couldn't always get to the phone, this made liaising so simple and effective. Highly recommended.... Read more

Barton & Co - Norwich

My wife & I can't thank Chris Hendon at Barton & Co enough. We were three weeks away from moving house when we found out our seller was pulling out !!...So we needed to secure a rental house fast. This is where Chris came in to help, he found us a great house in the area of Norfolk we wanted. Chris is a total professional agent and acted fast in our search to find the right house to enable us to complete our move. The process of securing the rental was simple, quick & easy, and we would highly recommend using Barton & Co, (especially Chris Hendon). Mr & Mrs Lacey-Freeman.... Read more

Appreciate this review comes amongst a lot of 5 star reviews but two things: firstly, we would have loved to have the experiences everyone else seems to have had and secondly, our experience is completely legit. Initially Barton and Co were very personable, very keen to ingratiate themselves, presenting themselves as a tight-knit, homespun antidote to the more cavalier lettings agents that operate in the local area. However, once we were in our new rental property the communication dried up and we rarely received acknowledgement of our emails from then on in. Though they did replace our oven quickly when we reported it (they hadn't checked it worked before we moved in) we spent the rest of our tenancy with a radiator hanging off the wall at a 45 degree angle, amongst other issues. We were misled as to the nature of our landlords as despite being informed that they wanted a professional couple as long-term tenants to look after their property, we were asked to leave the property after a year to vacate for a student let. The landlords wanted more dollar. After checking, we were informed we had had the opportunity to extend our contract ataan earlier date and it was intimidated that by not doing so we had reneged on the understanding with the landlord. This was unequivocally not the case, as our emails were never acknowledged and we were never advised of an alternative course of action once we reached the end of our initial tenancy. . I'm sure it was incompetence rather than malice, but they would not accept any culpability nor would they meet personally to discuss. I've worked in both property maintenance and communications so I found their behaviour galling. Furthermore, this move derailed our efforts to save for a mortgage deposit as we were forced to waste it on another rental deposit. Appreciate the above might be a bonus for many buy-to-let landlords in terms of misleading and effectively dispatching tenants when a chance to increase their profits presents itself. But should the wind change in favour of legislation which actually protects tenants from the debilitating effects of cowboy landlords, outfits like these will be found out.... Read more
