Searching for a new home is even more stressful…<br><br>Last year, while searching for a new home in the Cotswolds, we had the good fortune to meet Tanya Hall from Carter Jonas Oxford. As well as having an incredible ability to showcase special properties, she is a master in the art of matchmaking tenants to landlords. She innately understands that for certain properties it is all about the relationship rather than simply getting a “deal” done.<br><br>Tanya was remarkably thoughtful and adept at helping us get to know our landlord and her team during the vetting phase. She was clear, transparent and always available to guide us through the process. At every point of the negotiation we felt heard and understood by Tanya.<br><br>Now almost a year into our tenancy, we could not be happier with our decision and as a distinct bonus, our landlords have become dear friends.<br><br>We could not be more thrilled with Tanya’s level of service. We would recommend her highly to anyone looking for a new dream home in the Cotswolds.
3rd Oct 2026 (29 days ago)My property was on the market over four months. But couldn't sell it. Price wasn't too high. Didn't have any viewings almost three months. Connells asked to reduced price three times and I was agreed. But they couldn't make many viewings. Only four viewings had and they asked to reduce price again I didn't agreed. Because that price wasn't too high. Couldn't sell my property with them. I am not happy about their overall service ??????
19th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)I recently sold my house through Ted George. Their fee was surprisingly reasonable compared with other agents in the area. I was very pleased with the photographs of my property. I also found them to be very accessible and quick to respond with regard to communication, whether by phone, email or texts. So I was kept fully informed during the process. Would I use them again? Yes, I would.

From start to finish, Sophie was absolutely brilliant and made what can often be a stressful process feel seamless and straightforward.<br><br>Sophie was fantastic at communicating, always available at the end of the phone, and happy to answer any questions or provide updates. She was a genuine pleasure to work with, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Her proactive approach, attention to detail, and commitment to keeping everything moving smoothly helped make the entire sale as stress-free as possible.<br><br>We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Butler Sherborn, and Sophie in particular, to anyone looking for a professional, dedicated, and personable agent. 24th Oct 2026 (8 days ago)I just Completed on my house sale.<br>I placed my instruction with Thomas Merrifield (Kidlington) after first carefully considering Purple Bricks & doing the hard work myself, then, after deciding that I needed a really professional sale (Not something I felt I could bring through the Purple Bricks route) considering what was available on my own High Street . I felt that good local knowledge was important in my chosen Agency.<br>I narrowed it down to 2 well regarded local Estate Agents, & in truth, at the time, I felt that there was nothing between them (Clint came to our home & explained the process, expectations & cost, and answered any questions we had (there were many!)). In the end I could select only one.<br><br>I am absolutely delighted with the work Thomas Merrifield did for me. Very professional, always available, & in the first week we had a number of viewings booked in, these quickly realised two very good offers, one of which I accepted.<br>I am grateful to Lisa who is extremely talented & experienced, she helped navigate us through the process in a calm, efficient and thorough way, always providing updates & offering guidance where needed. Liaising with our Solicitor & all the other solicitors & Estate Agents in the chain. I am in no doubt, that it was Lisa's constant attention to all outstanding details, that kept our house sale & indeed, our whole chain, on track.<br>Our buyers were first time buyers & as such, were quite naive about the processes (this is not a criticism), Lisa was able to provide them with appropriate reassurance & impartial guidance that ensured they remained in the process. We were a 2 hour drive from Chipping Campden and the local knowledge and expertise of Ellie and the team were a huge help in finding the right house. They know Chipping Campden inside out and could tell us everything about local facilities and services. They were also brilliant in getting the sale through - getting paperwork, chasing solicitors and keeping everything moving. Whenever we had questions, she would reply quickly and if she didn't know a reply, she would find out for us through the proper channels and keep us updated throughout the process. Minimal viewings Person showing the house (not the exp lead) arrived at the same time as the potential buyers so house wasn’t opened up or displayed to best advantage No communication from the estate agent I would not use exp again. Very disappointed.
