17th Jul 2026 (27 days ago)Fantastic experience with Hunters Estate Agents in Barnsley. From the visit on Thursday morning for the valuation the house was Sold STC within a week. With the daily updates from a very helpful Brogan Christlo who also accompanied the potential buyers as we were on holiday, we cannot fault anything with the service we have received. We would highly recommend them to anyone buying or selling a property.

8th Dec 2024 (1 year ago)We had a mixed experience with Preston Baker. We chose them for their reviews online and at first contact with the Doncaster office they were quick to reply and tried moving our sale along promptly. Then our agent suddenly stopped communicating and when we tried contacting them we found out she had left but no one informed us. This happened a couple of times. Our house was eventually assigned to Terry Burrows (Leeds office) and she was good to us. She took care of our sale for almost a year until the end, even after two potential buyers dropped off and issues with the house made our sale more complicated. Sadly by then the market had changed and we weren’t able to sell for the value we had hoped for. Not sure if I would recommend the Doncaster office. I would recommend Terry for sure. (Terry, if you are reading this thank you for persevering with us and for helping us get a decent price in a difficult selling process)

She is so friendly, warm and approachable, which made what can be a very stressful process much easier. Her communication was excellent throughout, and I always felt supported and kept updated. Thank you, Amelia, for all your hard work – I really appreciate everything you’ve done!
29th Jul 2026 (15 days ago)I began renting my property through Gates many years ago Jess became my ‘Go To’ person and was always friendly and caring When I decided to sell it coincided with Jess moving from rental to estate agent The road to selling was bumpy to say the least but Jess was always there to support and reassure me She kept me updated every step of the way and today when the sale was completed she was quick to ring to make sure everything was ok Throughout it all I have come to think of her as a friend rather than ‘the person on the other end of the phone’ and she has been so helpful and understanding it is hard to put it into words<br>A massive thank you to you Jess You have been a superstar through all this<br>I can honestly say I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Gates as an estate agent Caring and considerate throughout

Outstanding support when things got difficult I first contacted Reeds Rains – previously at 16-18 Moorgate Street, now at Wickersley Rotherham in March 2024 to help me find a flat. From the start, I was told the landlord would manage the property. I thought it would make no difference whether it was managed by the agent or landlord, but it turned out to be a terrible experience all through my stay of over two years. What impressed me most was that the team stood by me from beginning to end, even when issues arose over my deposit. They guided me step-by-step and helped me successfully recover my full deposit plus overpaid rent — something I could not have done without their support. A special mention for Abby — even though she is no longer with the company, her hard work, resilience and dedication were truly noticed and appreciated. I also want to say the Accounts Department was absolutely amazing — efficient, helpful and always there when I needed them. Thank you to every member of the team. I couldn't remember names, the branch manager and other staff members was brilliant. You turned a very stressful situation around and showed real care for your tenants. 3rd Aug 2026 (10 days ago)I dont usually leave reviews, especially bad ones, but I'd hate for someone else to go through what we did. Me and my partner were meant to move out in July for a house that was "avaliable immediately" we had a move in date confirmed, checks passed, welcome homes had sorted WiFi ect and was told the day we were meant to get the keys that the landlord had decided to sell the property, which if we had been informed at any point we wouldnt have even put in for the house. We had little to no communication from our agent even though we had sent several emails over the weeks leading up to moving in and it wasn't even our agent that told us the house was being sold, it was another agent who we had to email as ours was unresponsive. We tried calling but the voicemail was always full and after we had been told we couldn't have the house it was radio silence, no help with cancelling the wifi that they had set up, no apology for not letting us know anything so we had already given notice to our current landlord and was at risk of being homeless and I STILL haven't had a refund for my holding deposit which should have been refunded first week of July despite me emailing and ringing twice. I understand it was the landlords decision about the house but the lack of communication and empathy is disgusting

30th Jul 2026 (14 days ago)This is the second home I've sold with Red Roots, but the first time I've had Steve looking after my sale, and I honestly couldn't have asked for anyone better.<br>From day one, Steve was friendly, approachable, and always on the ball. He kept me updated throughout the whole process, was quick to answer any questions, and made everything feel so much less stressful. We got on so well that it genuinely felt like dealing with a friend rather than just an estate agent.<br><br>Nothing was ever too much trouble, and I always felt like I was in safe hands. His professionalism, communication, and support were second to none.<br><br>A huge thank you to Steve and everyone at Red Roots for all your hard work. I really can't praise Steve enough and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and the team to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.

17th Jul 2026 (27 days ago)Please stay clear of this company. They are highly unprofessional and have no desire to stand by their own terms and work in a smooth and timely manner. They do not stay updated on any progress when working through a purchase of a property and do not act as if they want to get to completion within their own 60-day terms. I had two occasions on the same property when a mortgage valuation was booked in, and the Jack Senior at Let Property assured me the first would be completed. Once no one turned up at the property to allow access for the valuation, it had to be rebooked, and when I spoke to Jack again he assured me 100% someone would be there. But again, when the valuer arrived at the property no one was there to allow access. Also during the process it would take days, sometimes a week, to get a simple bit of info or just a return call from Jack or anyone at Let Property. They set 60-day completion terms, which I was happy to work to and moved fast on my side, but when they constantly delayed things, it got to the point nothing was moving foward. On top of this, they take a reservation deposit and will not refund it has we are past the 60-day terms even with the delays being their own fault. I would highly recommend staying clear and using any other company. I have found Pure Investor to be very professional, helpful and hardworking to make sure both the seller and buyer are happy and continue to get things moving forward.
