6th Jun 2026 (8 days ago)I would rate 2Roost Estate Agents as average overall — you get what you pay for. They initially valued my property around £25,000 higher than what it eventually sold for, which I found disappointing and unrealistic. The staff were friendly throughout the process and the photographs they took of the property were very good. However, I felt the overall service lacked experience and professionalism at times. On one occasion, my front door was left open overnight due to carelessness, which was completely unacceptable. I also felt there was little flexibility with viewings outside of standard hours, as evening appointments after 5pm were not really accommodated or proactively discussed with me. In addition, some of the offers put forward to me felt unrealistic and far below expectations. While the service was not terrible, it was fairly mediocre overall. Looking back, I probably would have chosen a more established estate agent, even if it meant paying slightly higher fees. Ultimately, you pay peanuts, you get monkeys — lesson learned on my part.

We had previously enquired about a property, which proved to be unsuitable for us. Ms Ripley subsequently telephoned and brought the availability of another property to our attention. Ms Ripley arranged a viewing for us very quickly. She was always friendly, helpful and highly professional and went out of her way to provide us with every possible assistance throughout the process of arranging the tenancy. We are very grateful to her.

21st Feb 2026 (16 weeks ago)Having approached 3 estate agents to value the property I was most impressed by the work undertaken from the outset by Steven Goff. Although not the cheapest in terms of commission they seemed more professional than the competition. Since placing the business in their hands I have been extremely impressed by their work in relation to organising everything such as viewings and marketing and updating me at every stage. I have been most appreciative of the work undertaken by the whole team and in particular Lauren.

The end to end process was only 12 weeks from us viewing the house to completing and moving in! A special mention to Erin who dealt with us right from the beginning and made sure everything progressed quickly and efficiently. She was always very responsive and helpful and not to mention extremely polite and kind! I would definitely recommend William H Brown for anyone looking to sell or buy a house!

Saxton Mee helped me at every stage holding my hand throughout the process . Their kindness and patience was amazing , Olivia sorted out great marketing and was always available for advice .We achieved a quick successful sale . I really could not recommend them enough . Choose Saxton Mee for a safe professional and guided sale .

Their attitude with their clients is extremely commendable. This is the second time we have used this agent, and feel they are highly recommendable to anyone who is considering either buying or selling.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
15th May 2026 (30 days ago)We had 4 agents to evaluate our house and although they were all efficient there was one that stood out from the crowd. Melissa from Morfitt Smith was extremely knowledgeable about the area, the type of potential buyers, realistic about the asking price, and we felt that the service from a local agent would be more suitable for us. Once we made the decision to use Morfitt Smith, they were very quick to arrange the photographs, which were amazing, and to list the property. We immediately had a lot of viewings arranged and received several offers straight away one of which we accepted with their help and guidance. The communication was fantastic, by text and email, we were kept informed of everything by Lauren, our dedicated contact in the office. We're now looking forward to a smooth process through to the exchange of contracts. We are very happy we made the decision to go with Morfitt Smith, they have been so friendly, professional and efficient in what is potentially a stressful time, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Andy Bright came to value the property and took some great pictures. He also was very friendly and helpful. 1st May 2026 (6 weeks ago)We were buyers, and found the staff at Mallinsons easily contacted, very helpful and knowledgeable about the properties we were viewing and when we came to purchasing a property, very good at following progress. When we went to collect the keys to our new house, we were delighted to receive a welcome hamper of prosecco and Yorkshire goodies.

26th Mar 2026 (11 weeks ago)Shaz was our estate agent for both the purchase of our new house and the sale of our previous house. We cannot recommend him enough. He went above and beyond throughout the whole process. He was incredibly contactable and responded extremely quickly. No question or query was too much for him and he made the whole process as smooth as possible due to his communication. He gave us excellent advice when it came to offer price and also sale price and he helped us negotiate on price when the survey flagged some issues requiring repair. Shaz genuinely cares about both the buyer and vendor in this process, which makes a huge difference compared to other estate agents we have interacted with over the years. If we ever move house again in the future we will be using EweMove again and I will be recommending them and Shaz to anyone else I know planning a move!
