Cameron was super responsive, supportive and helpful whenever we needed him. You hear all sorts of bad stories about landlords / agents - Cameron and Brown & Brooke buck that trend happily!
22nd Oct 2025 (7 mo. ago)I recently dealt with them regarding a property in the Colorado development and I can honestly say the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Communication was always swift, clear and transparent and every interaction felt professional yet genuinely friendly. Mark was particularly helpful and he kept me updated at every stage, explained all options openly and went out of his way to find suitable alternatives when circumstances changed. When it became clear that the original flat might not be available, the agency handled everything with complete honesty and refunded my holding deposit immediately in less than 12h something that really reflects their integrity and efficiency. It’s rare to come across an agency that combines professionalism with such a personal, approachable attitude. I’ll definitely be back in touch with them and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, transparent and friendly lettings team.

Sue, Sarah and the team handled the issue quickly, graciously and with the utmost integrity. They made a stressful situation much easier to handle, and I would not hesitate to recommend this agency.

Donna was great, she was very cooperative, professional and understanding, especially when my partner and I had to postpone the agreed move in date by a week due to personal circumstances. Donna sees the value in having a good tenant, and that can be a rare quality amongst estate agents. I gave one star less because the flat was not cleaned properly and some things need fixing, but that's with the Hindwoods repairs team, not Donna - she did her part great!

17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)What a different way to sell a home, with supportive, gentle and trustworthy people. We’d been mulling over the idea of relocating out of London for years and even discussed putting our home on the market with Unique previously. What we like is that there is no big sales pitch, no pressure to sell, just listening and responding. But more importantly, keeping both our buyers and us calm, communicative and friendly throughout the sale, so it felt as smooth as it could possibly be. We’re not planning to do move again any time soon, but we’d definitely use Unique if we were.

18th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Johns&Co at London City Island. From our very first conversation, we made it explicitly clear that parking was a requirement for us. We were initially shown a property with parking, shown the parking area itself, and then shown another property which we were told also included parking. Based on those representations, we proceeded and had our offer accepted. Only later did we discover — via a WhatsApp message from the agent Katie — that the property did not in fact include parking and that we would need to rent a space separately. This was clearly material information and something we had specifically stated was essential to our purchase decision. We would never have proceeded had the correct information been provided from the outset. What made the situation worse was the handling afterwards. We were initially told compensation would be offered, but after querying the amount, the local manager Elliot called to say we would receive nothing because the issue had been discovered “early in the process” and he did not believe anyone had done anything wrong. The overall attitude felt dismissive and lacking in accountability. We were left having wasted significant time and effort progressing a purchase based on inaccurate information, and ultimately had no choice but to withdraw. Buyers should be very careful to independently verify all “confirmed” information provided during the sales process.

The focus on the presentation helped get people in the door and I believe heled them see themselves in the flat. He was helpful through the offer process when I was keen to take the first one. I’m glad I didn’t.

15th Jul 2025 (11 mo. ago)Overpromised, Underperformed and Untrustworthy – My Costly Mistake with HSD I initially listed my property with PurpleBricks in March 2025 for £535,000. After limited viewings over a three-month period, I began exploring other options and submitted an enquiry to WeBuyAnyHouse. They quickly came back with an offer of £460,000—roughly 14% below asking—claiming it would allow for a quick sale. I immediately declined, as I was not in a rush and didn’t want to take such a significant loss. Shortly after, my details were apparently passed on to House Sales Direct (HSD), seemingly a sister company, without my explicit consent. HSD came across as professional and engaging at first. They promised a 98% success rate in selling properties within 28 days, citing a strong network of pre-approved buyers and investors who could complete within 6–8 weeks. They suggested a sale price spread of £510k–£535k, assuring me they would work to get me the best price possible. It sounded promising. Based on these assurances, I decided to proceed with HSD. I withdrew my PurpleBricks listing—costing me £300—with the understanding that HSD’s investor network would accelerate the sale. But things quickly began to unravel. Despite supposedly having investors lined up, HSD said they needed to relist my property on Rightmove first. When I questioned why investors couldn’t simply view the home, the response was vague. It took nearly two weeks for them to relist, and the new asking price was £525,000. A full week passed without any communication. Then came a call recommending the price be dropped to £499,000. I was told this was “just a marketing tactic,” and that they still aimed to get me a sale within the original £510k–£535k range. But I struggled to understand how listing a property nearly £40,000 lower would achieve that. I asked again about the investors. They finally admitted the only offer received was the same £460k I'd declined weeks earlier through WeBuyAnyHouse. This was when the red flags really began to show. Why wasn’t I told this upfront? Why present an optimistic price range if their investor offer was fixed at £460k from the beginning? Why was I encouraged to pull the property from PurpleBricks if they intended to rely on the open market anyway? I could have just reduced the price there and avoided unnecessary costs and delays. Doing more research online, I found stories from others with eerily similar experiences. It appeared HSD’s real model was to attract sellers with high expectations and then drop the price, relying on open-market tactics to force a quick sale. Despite claiming not to charge commission, they would never clearly explain how they made their money. It seems they may be negotiating higher prices with buyers while offering sellers less—profiting off the gap. No transparency, no trust. Meanwhile, they knew I was paying a high mortgage on an empty property. It became clear they were hoping I’d become desperate enough to accept the same low £460k offer I had already rejected twice. In the four weeks my property was listed with them, only four viewings were arranged. Two were no-shows. Of the remaining two, one viewer stayed for just five minutes—asked no questions and didn’t even view all the rooms. It felt performative, not serious. As expected, neither viewer submitted an offer, despite supposedly being “pre-qualified and keen.” Eventually, I told HSD I wanted to withdraw the property. That’s when I was informed—shockingly—that I had unknowingly signed up for a 52-week contract, and I’d need to pay £1,500 to exit, or £999 if paid within 7 days. I wrote to them, acknowledged that they had done some work, and offered a reasonable £699 exit fee, explaining I needed to rent the home out due to financial strain. They refused and insisted on full payment. I paid the £999 immediately—but it still took a full week and several chasers before they finally removed the property from Rightmove. By the end of the ordeal, it was clear I was no longer a priority for them. In summary: Do I regret choosing HSD? Absolutely. Would I recommend them to someone looking for a fair, transparent, and professional house sale experience? No. If your only goal is to sell quickly and you don’t care about value, they might work for you. But if you want to sell your home at a decent price with a partner you can trust, I strongly advise staying away from HSD.

Secrea's patient guidance and clear expertise demystified the entire reassignments process for us. She always kept us informed and responded promptly to our queries. Billy's proactive approach and exceptional communication skills were crucial in keeping things on track. He liaised with solicitors and efficiently resolved challenges, from documents to securing the completion date. We felt completely supported and informed throughout. I went to him with my vision to buy my dream flat and there were so many complications as well but he took the time to understand our needs and delivered on promises. Seif is such a gem if you want someone helpful and reliable, I’d recommend him only. He even helped us to sort our Stamp Duty problem.His communication was excellent—attentive, timely, and honest. Renowned Homes made a daunting process seem incredibly smooth. Five stars ??????
