9th Sep 2025 (1 year ago)I would definitely recommend Thomas if you are looking for a brilliant estate agent. His knowledge, communication and feedback went above and beyond what I had ever expected. He answered any queries which I had very promptly .....he gave me excellent advice from our first point of contact. Thomas and Kellie offered ideas to 'tweek' certain aspects of my property to make it more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.....which obviously helped as he achieved a sale within four weeks!!! Well done to Thomas and his staff at Essex Guild Homes!!!

I could not give enough thanks to Zuhre Zavanna who throughout the whole process was knowledgeable as was able to help with any questions or issues we had. She was just so friendly, nice and an overall great person. She is incredible! Could not recommend E&S anymore!

4th Aug 2026 (6 weeks ago)I can not praise the staff here highly enough. To start, handling the home of a recently deceased and much loved Mother must be tough. But, the careful balance of compassion, care, professionalism and then the business was navigated with incredible skill. The ease with which the house went on the market was amazing, the pictures, description, the overall presentation was so impressive I almost bought it myself.<br>More than that though, when all was concluded the aftercare and advice was so very much appreciated.<br>I will never be able to praise or thank the team enough.<br>A particular mention to Jack and Michaela, who had to endure more than they ever should.<br>Myself and Fudge (shshsh it’s a secret) thank you, from the pieces of my heart

My previous agent was helpful enough, but they simply couldn't find a buyer who was ready and able to proceed.<br><br>From the moment I switched to Bairstow Eves (Rayleigh), the difference was obvious. On day one, they arranged for a professional photographer to take photos and a video of my home — and they'd already lined up two viewings with interested buyers. Both wanted to buy the house! During the viewing, the agent built a genuine rapport with the buyers, really understanding what my property had to offer.<br><br>Even after accepting an offer, their care didn't stop. Bairstow Eves has continued to liaise with everyone involved, actively chasing the paperwork to keep the sale moving.<br><br>All in all, I've been delighted with their professional service — both before and after the sale. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

They provided advice on realistic pricing and marketed the property well, securing interest and negotiating a very fair offer. When we encountered a problem with a severe water leak during the cold weather in January, our Agent, Dean Ellis, played a key role in getting the property repaired while retaining the buyer's interest. Dean really went the extra mile for us, arranging contractors, allowing contractor access to the property for us and monitoring/ emptying the dehumidifiers as it dried out. Thanks to Dean the sale was completed on 9th March.

29th Aug 2026 (19 days ago)I should have written this review a long time ago, but even to this day, thinking about the whole situation still makes me angry. I kept putting off writing this review, but I’ve decided it’s better to say something now than never. My experience with Hopson Property Southend was extremely disappointing. The service was poor, and the manager, Richard, was not helpful when it came to resolving our issue. There were no call-backs, no proper follow-ups, and we were constantly having to chase them for updates. What really frustrated me was how proactive they were when it came to demanding money, yet when it came to actually solving problems, there was very little urgency or cooperation. Despite making numerous attempts to get the matter resolved, nothing was properly sorted and we were ultimately left with no choice but to give up because they simply would not cooperate. This was an extremely frustrating experience, and the way the situation was handled has stayed with me to this day. I would not recommend them based on our experience. I would give it a negative star if there was an option.

10th Jun 2026 (14 weeks ago)We had previously used another supposedly successful/well known/etc. yawn…local agent and were underwhelmed by their lack of energy & interest in helping us sell our Thorpe Bay property. We approached Hendricks & got a very different and positive response. Hendricks are a relatively young but extremely switched-on outfit that knows it needs to perform in order to establish itself. We felt Hendricks listened to us describe our situation and stepped up to ensure an all-round improved customer experience. Brad was an incredible front man - highly responsive from start to finish. Alfie demonstrated real depth of understanding contractually and the combination of their team was highly supportive and led to a very fast offer-to-completion time of 9 weeks! In an industry renowned for its disproportionate share of empty promises we would recommend Hendricks unreservedly.
