14th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Probably the most stressfull financial event is selling a house. Not now ! the solution and only way forward is to engage the services of The Stuart Thomas Estate agency. Should you be lucky enough to be within their area then they are the go to Team. The owner, Stuart Thomas, is an immensely experienced, very professional and diligent person, his agency is staffed with a great team whom will get the job done. At all times the viewings were carried out either by Stuart or one of his staff, viewings were on time and executed in a proffesional and friendly manner, we were also given feedback after the viewing. The details and photos were perfect and the listing on Rightmove and other media were spot on. Our house sold within a few weeks. For fear of leaving anyone out I will not name the people I dealt with but rest assured you are all great and very much appreciated. However, I will actually name Sally as she kindly recommended a solicitor to deal with our conveyancing of the sale, Tracy Hughes at Paul Robinson Solicitors. This is so worth a mention as our original solicitor was a complate and utter waste of space, so we needed to find an alternative quickly. Tracy Hughes was simply exceptional, awesome in fact. After a lifetime of buying and selling house and having countless solicitors trying to stuff it up, to find Tracy was a breath of fresh air, great recomendation Sally. Our sincere Thanks goes to Stuart Thomas and the Team, Fantastic Job!

They gave honest opinions about properties and pointed out things we might have missed. That honesty helped us avoid a few homes that probably would have caused problems later.

I also had an emergency (flooding) just the day before the tenant moved in, and Martin went above and beyond to help me find an engineer to fix the leak. Highly recommended!

Steve Smith was very helpful and knowledgable and I would recommend when considering a local agency calling Bear Southend for a valuation.

Their Senior Sales Progressor Wendy Baily could not have more helpful or diligent in getting all of the many parties involved aligned. She provided updates, and offered support, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Which is a big plus for us as first time buyers. Ms Bonita was genuinely invested in helping us find our dream home. She took the time to understand our needs and preferences, guiding us through every step of the buying process with patience and expertise. We appreciated her honest advice, which helped us make informed decisions without feeling pressured considering the short time scale we had when applying for the mortgage. Between navigating the conveyancing process, deciphering survey reports, managing a chain that feels like it could collapse at any moment, chasing solicitors, and trying to understand what on earth "exchange" and "completion" actually mean in practice - it can feel completely overwhelming, especially if it's your first time. From our very first conversation, Amanda was refreshingly straightforward. She didn't talk in circles or hide behind jargon - she explained every stage of the transaction clearly, told me what to expect and when, and was honest when things were moving slowly and why. That transparency alone was worth its weight in gold. So many agents leave you chasing them for updates; Amanda was proactive, often calling me before I even had the chance to wonder what was happening.
