He was extremely helpful throughout and went above and beyond when we hit a bump in the road taking it upon himself to sort a mistake my accountant had made. 9th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)I would strongly advise against using this agency. We had an offer accepted by a landlord and were sent the contract and all payment details late Friday afternoon. Interestingly, they don’t take holding deposits (claiming they "don't operate that way"), yet they expected us to sign and transfer a very large sum of money immediately without having our questions answered. By Monday morning, we had cleared all queries, completed references, and signed the contract. After being told to wait for the landlord's "green light" for several hours while we were ready to pay, we were suddenly told the landlord had accepted another identical offer. The excuse given was that the "market is competitive," which is a poor cover for unprofessionalism. They wasted our time, energy, and personal data. Avoid if you want a transparent or reliable process.

9th Nov 2022 (3 years ago)AVOID! both as a tenant and as a landlord. I'm a tenant in a property under their portfolio, I'm facing severe lack of communication and total lack of integrity. I'm in the unfortunate situation of desperately needing to move out early due to personal health reasons. I can't move out until Maskells finds a replacement tenant. Their approach has been to try and profit from the situation, which I personally find morally wrong. Rather than trying to replace me, they are putting an out of the market price to try and squeeze extra pounds of commission without any risk, as the property is not vacant. Communication related to the process has also been lacking and not transparent. Tenants: you are better off with some other agencies. Landlords: find someone with integrity to manage your properties.
28th Nov 2025 (22 weeks ago)Just sold my flat through Tate - a great service - David Harbottle was particularly helpful and responsive at all times. I've been a client of Tate for more than fifteen years. I can't fault them. It's a small team but an incredibly responsive and effective one. The firm has been on the ground in Battersea/Nine Elms for more than two decades so they know the area better than any competitor could ever hope to. From a personal perspective Tate understands my property and my priorities more than a larger agency ever could. This gives me peace of mind: I know that my needs and the needs of my tenants will be met promptly at all times. I also know from experience of other agencies in London and elsewhere that they are great value for money. I would heartily recommend Paul and the team.

Josh has so much experience and was always available to respond to any queries we had quickly and efficiently when my son recently purchased a flat with his support. Communication throughout the whole process was excellent both with us and our solicitor. Highly recommend them!
2nd Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)Excellent customer service! In early January I spotted an apartment for rent — it was exactly what I was looking for in terms of location, price, and everything else. I contacted Ruben via WhatsApp, and he called me back immediately. The viewing was arranged for the next day. I visited the apartment and it was love at first sight. As I’m not English, I wasn’t very familiar with the rental process in London. Ruben took the time to explain everything, was super efficient, and always available whenever I had questions. Within 24 hours he told me the landlord had agreed in principle to my offer, and the formal process began. Thuraya Al-Haidari then handled everything — again, always helpful and attentive. I wanted to change the sofa, the bed linen, etc., and the team negotiated with the landlord so that everything could be arranged for my comfort. On the day I moved in, the apartment was spotless — and there was even a little bouquet of flowers! I have to say that before this I was renting just around the corner through Draker, and there’s simply no comparison — here they truly care about their clients, not just their wallets as at Draker. A big thank you to the whole team Thuraya and Ruben MERCI !!!

27th Nov 2025 (23 weeks ago)ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS PLACE. If there was only zero stars… A couple of weeks ago, water from the men’s toilet on our floor was literally flowing down the stairs and also through elevator shaft. The smell was disgusting, and there was visible sewage which we have to step into to be able to exit. And no - this wasn’t the first time something like this has happened. We had no choice but to walk through that filthy water just to get out of the office. When I went to reception to ask for the bare minimum - reimbursement for cleaning my shoes - the regional manager, Farah, couldn’t have been more dismissive. Instead of helping, she snapped that they “aren’t liable for damages,” talked down to me like I was her child, and then turned away mid-conversation as if I wasn’t worth her time and said ‘you clearly don’t understand’ then turned her head towards display. This one clearly loves drama, seeing what other residents have to say. Maybe some management or how to deal with people classes... I just wanted to find some base ground as the damage was made from their fault, but they clearly don’t care. I had to spend £30 from my money to clean my shoes. If this is how management treats people, it tells you everything you need to know. Avoid this place at all costs!

I have no hesitation in recommending them. I would not have purchased my property without the encouragement, help and huge support from them. Use them when you can.

Heartfelt thanks go to Victoria Peters and Laurence Lai for their outstanding professionalism and patient guidance throughout the process of selling my Notting Hill apartment. A friend who has known Laurence for many years first put me in touch with Youhome and from my very first meeting I felt reassured I was in very experienced and knowledgable hands. That impression never wavered. Not only was the marketing of my apartment very professionally done, but throughout the conveyancing process both Laurence and Victoria were extremely helpful, calm, responsive and kind with Victoria always on hand to liaise with the buyer, smoothing the whole process considerably.

His agency stands out from the rest due to his highly personal service; we spoke with or saw only him so felt super confident he was fully engaged and invested in our sale at all times. His comms were also excellent, as were his problem-solving skills and professional partners. The photography was outstanding, with much thought taken in both the planning and execution. Highly recommended!
