21st May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Absolutely lovely experience had with Erin. Moving and renting is a very challenging experience and stressful, especially on move day. Erin has gone out of her way to communicate in a soft and gentle manner to calm my nerves and to accommodate my requests whenever I have had a need during my tenancy. She is very responsive and I havent had to wait for days for a response to any question or request, unlike other agencies. I am very appreciative of this and am sure she has a lot on her plate, yet still gets this right. I hope she is appreciated as the gem she is on that team and hope this goes a long way in saying "Thank you".

The team was professional, friendly, and highly efficient throughout the entire process. From the moment we met Jen we knew that this would be the correct choice of estate agents to sell our house.<br><br>The whole team are extremely professional and very hard working; nothing is too much effort for them. The service provided was exemplary as well as very personal - by far the friendliest and most approachable estate agents that I have ever encountered.<br><br>It was so refreshing to work with a team who genuinely cared and if we were to sell again we would be in touch with Jen and her team in an instant.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

She kept us updated at every stage of the transaction, liaised effectively with the vendors, and was always happy to help with any information we needed.<br><br>Buying a house can be a stressful process, but Abi's communication and support helped make everything run as smoothly as possible. We really appreciated her assistance from the initial viewing right through to completion.<br><br>Thank you, Abi, for all your help. We would be happy to recommend you to anyone buying or selling a property.
22nd Jun 2026 (5 days ago)The worst service ever, i have just rented a property from bentley hurst and i have faced the worst service ever i received the property in the most felthy way no one clean anything after the previous guest and they scam me by sending the inventory report before they handing me the key after i reported the cleaning situation they responded was wait and we will send the cleaner to clean the property i refused and left the key i asked them to clean the property and change the move in date , ofc i had to keep calling them as they haven’t updated me for 2 days , and tell now didn’t receive the key for my letter box or even an apology, they wont even deserve a 1 star review, pay more than 5k for this property and the guarantor and dealing with this now ,even though he building concierge mention he received to many complaints on this agency, you don’t wanna rent from this agency

11th Jan 2026 (24 weeks ago)We are about to complete the purchase of a property through Thornley Groves estate agents in Hale. Buying or selling a house can be a stressful process, but the team at Thornley Groves were consistently professional, supportive, and impressive throughout. Chris, the branch manager, initially helped us with putting in our offer and was fair, transparent, and professional from the outset, which immediately gave us confidence in the process. Claire regularly checked in with both us and the vendor to ensure everyone was aligned and that all paperwork was progressing promptly. This made us feel well supported and helped keep things moving quickly without unnecessary delays. As we were part of a chain, there were some challenges in getting the top and bottom of the chain to agree on a completion date. Jamie, who originally showed us the property, was exceptional in handling this. She took the initiative to draft a detailed email, bringing all parties together, and used her professionalism and experience to resolve the situation and secure an agreed completion date. Her efforts were instrumental in ensuring a smooth conclusion to the transaction. Overall, I cannot recommend the team at Thornley Groves highly enough.
