On the last viewing told us we had secured it in the Saturday only to be told on the Tuesday that there was a higher bid. We have been brought in as a bidding baite in this property. Avoid this agent! No office to even call in
23rd Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)Initially, they seem very professional and talk a lot about 'strategy' to gain your trust. However, that's just a facade. As soon as the first offer came in (within the first few weeks), the pressure started. They completely ignored our previously agreed price and tried to convince me that my house wasn't actually worth that much, warning me that I might not get another offer. It felt like they weren't working for me, but against me, just to close the deal as quickly as possible. When I voiced my concerns, I was told I 'should be happy' to sell so fast—even though I was in no rush and simply wanted a fair price. On top of that, I had to fill out all the property details myself. They provide an app and expect you to do their job for them. It makes me wonder what they actually take their commission for. If you want an agent who actually fights for your interest and doesn't just push for a quick sale, look elsewhere.

8th Nov 2024 (1 year ago)We dealt with Matthew Irvine from day one, our first sale fell through so it was a drawn out transaction (5 months) but we found Matthew responsive and helpful throughout, we needed more detailed measurements of the house and although we were committed and would have bought the property in any case, Matthew provided us with a virtual tour which helped alot as we were only able to view once and were buying from Devon. Matthew was approachable and courtious and always responded to our requests for information, so I would say he did a pretty good job with this transaction which was quite stressful for us, we have now relocated and are enjoying our new surroundings :-)

15th Dec 2025 (15 weeks ago)On viewing a property that we were buying there was a bad leak I advised Colin at House & Home and it was not passed onto the vendors and when he handed over the property to me the ceiling had fallen down from the leak he literally gave me the keys and ran with running water from the ceiling absolutely disgusting handling of a huge problem spent £930 to have emergency work. Never ever would I recommend them to anyone. Photos of how he handed me the property even tried to blame my builder who had no access to the property. We are hard working people and this house is where I’m staying while my mum fights aggressive breast cancer this was the last thing I needed. Posted by Mrs R Kirk
23rd Jul 2020 (5 years ago)Huge Hidden Fees. Rude staff, severely under valued in order to entice people into bidding. Very disappointing as they was endorsed by multiple big newspapers. STAY AWAY - ESSENTIALLY A WHITE COLLAR SCAM!!!!!!!!

12th Oct 2023 (2 years ago)The communication was shockingly weak. I had one phonecall in 3 months for feedback. The market has become slow lately but I expected more. Photographs were not brilliant or the write up. No Zoopla adverts.
14th Mar 2026 (18 days ago)I rented a flat in Bromsgrove for a couple of years. Overall, the landlord and maintenance team were helpful with most maintenance issues and were generally responsive when something needed fixing. However, there was an ongoing issue with black mould in the property. This was often attributed to tenant lifestyle, although there were ventilation concerns outside the property, including a vent that was partially covered by concrete which may have contributed to the problem. I also found that whenever I reported issues by email, the landlord would usually respond with a phone call rather than replying in writing. While communication did happen, it meant that concerns and discussions were not always formally logged Reason I moved out because I was having health issues so I would highly suggest looking into the property before

He was always available to chat, never made us feel like a nuisance, and his advice was spot on every time. It’s rare to find an agent who is this invested in their clients. He and his lovely colleague Liz pushed our sale over the line when things got tough, and we are now happily settled in a home we love. If you’re looking for a team that is professional but also genuinely human and supportive, go with Chosen. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you, Chris & Liz! ??

25th Aug 2025 (7 mo. ago)If I could give zero stars, I would. The management did not deliver on anything they promised when they took on my property. Poor communication, lack of transparency, and no sense of responsibility made the whole process frustrating and stressful. I would not recommend this estate agent to anyone looking to sell – they caused more problems than they solved.
