28th May 2026 (19 days ago)Unfortunately, my experience with Barnard Marcus has been very disappointing, to say the least. After arranging an efficient property valuation on my parents’ house three years ago for probate purposes only, following the passing of my father, I have continued to receive regular (often weekly) phone calls about selling the property. Despite explaining the situation multiple times and submitting requests via email to be removed from your contact list, the calls and voicemail messages persist to this day. This ongoing contact, especially given the circumstances, is both frustrating and insensitive. I would appreciate clarity on what further steps are required to have my details permanently removed from your system. If this continues, I will have no choice but to escalate this as a formal complaint, including to relevant regulatory bodies if necessary.- 14th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)Over value and don't check out buyers position. Selling house was never a straightforward process, but their professionalism made all the difference throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, they took the time to understand my situation, provided clear and honest advice, and developed a strategy that worked best for me. Despite the challenges we faced, Aleksa remained professional, proactive, and solution-focused at every turn. They handled negotiations with skill and honesty, kept me updated regularly, and were always available to answer my questions—no matter how big or small. Their deep knowledge of the market and strong attention to detail gave me confidence that I was in the best possible hands. Thanks to their hard work and persistence, we achieved a fantastic outcome for all parties involved, and we couldn’t be more grateful. If you’re looking for an estate agent who genuinely cares, goes above and beyond, and will support you every step of the way, I highly recommend Aleksa, Beth and everyone in Brendan’s team.- 13th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)I would advise both tenants and landlords, as well as current landlords and tenants considering using these agencies, to exercise caution when dealing with Imran Hussain, who operates under the agency names Oliver Brooks and Kenneth Lloyd’s. In my experience, communication and management of the property were often stressful, confrontational, and highly unprofessional. Much of the communication I received was through email, which I intentionally kept for record purposes. Although our EICR certificate reportedly passed as “Satisfactory,” the emergency fuse switches within the property did not function correctly, as indicator lights remained on regardless of switch position. Additionally, despite the property passing a gas safety inspection, there was no accessible gas shut-off stopper installed, which caused concern regarding safety in the event of an emergency. Less than four years ago, an elderly housemate suffered a serious fall on a Sunday. I contacted the managing agent requesting assistance in reaching the tenant’s family member, but was informed that no support would be provided because it was outside working hours. In August 2024, issues also arose regarding a vehicle owned by Imran Hussain or his friend was parked outside the property. We had previously been informed that the car was non-functional and would remain parked until repairs were arranged. However, while I was at work, I was contacted without prior notice and asked to move my partner’s vehicle, which was blocking access. As I do not drive, I had to physically push my partner’s vehicle to create space. Following disputes during the tenancy, a Section 21 notice was served, and there were repeated threats to increase rent unless we voluntarily left the property. Notably, two separate Section 21 notices were issued during the tenancy, and both were completed incorrectly. As someone who works within the estate agency industry myself, I immediately recognised issues with the first notice, to the point that both my partner and I laughed in disbelief when we received it. Only a few months ago, a second Section 21 notice was then issued, which again contain errors. In my opinion, this demonstrated a lack of professionalism and competence in handling legal tenancy procedures. We also experienced ongoing issues regarding property viewings. Despite repeatedly refusing permission for access to our private bedroom, our CCTV footage captured an agent checking whether we were home, contacting Imran Hussain to inform him that the property was empty, and then proceeding to enter my bedroom with a prospective tenant without my consent. This footage, including audio, was later submitted as part of my complaint to the Property Redress Scheme. Communication throughout the tenancy was, in my opinion, frequently hostile, sarcastic, intimidating, and unnecessarily confrontational. Emails regularly came from different addresses, yet the tone and wording appeared consistently similar. As of March 2026, the landlord appointed a new managing agency. My understanding is that this followed concerns regarding rent increases on individual rooms that did not appear to correspond with the landlord’s own rental income. I was later advised to contact the Deposit Protection Service directly regarding the return of my tenancy deposit, as attempts were still being made to manage the deposit despite the agency no longer overseeing the property. Overall, my experience was extremely stressful, and I would not personally choose to rent through these agencies or have any future dealings with Imran Hussain. I would strongly encourage both tenants and landlords to carefully document all communications when dealing with him. In my opinion, it is best to keep communication in writing via email or text message wherever possible, rather than relying on phone conversations. Following everything that occurred during the tenancy, we are relieved to finally move on and live peacefully under new management.

They are a professional team and always provide exceptional service. They keep you updated throughout the process and are very friendly and approachable. 29th Nov 2025 (6 mo. ago)I bought a property through Allen Heritage and worked with Sally from the beginning who showed us various properties and eventually found one that we purchased. Sally was lovely, very patient and informative, always willing to answer our questions and accommodate our schedules to view the property (as we viewed it many times). Overall Sally and the Allen Heratige team were very accommodating and professional.

Passive aggressive and rude and also the adverts for 0 deposit aren’t true and they force you to take out a guarantor service even though you meet or exceed salary requirements for a place. Bola Needs a serious attitude check, he should be embarrassed about the way he’s running this business, extremely disappointed by management team
4th Mar 2021 (5 years ago)We had our flat on the market with Dexter's for the exclusivity period. During that time we were passed between 3 contacts at Dexter's. The first agent left within a week or two of taking our property on, put little effort into the marketing of the property resulting in a poor advert and poor viewings. The second agent was much better, rectified many mistakes and did find us a buyer. The buyer sadly pulled out, but by this point the second agent at Dexter's had also moved on. It took 3 days for us to hear of the news of the buyer falling through and a further week for the agent to actually make any contact with us. We found out the buyer had pulled out from our estate agent from the property we were purchasing calling our solicitors and asking for an update. Dexter's in my opinion were an appalling service. We put out flat on the market with another agent and had a brilliant offer, from a truly lovely couple within a few weeks. I wish I'd gone with the data in GetAgent in the first place, rather than going on gut feel. When we bought our flat it was with Dexter's and we got the impression that they were relationship people, however, it turns out they act in the interest of the buyer not the seller.

Their response time is incredible (shoutout to James) and the move process was made so easy for me (shoutout to Alicia). I’ve had so many awful experiences with other London agencies but they really went above and beyond for me and ensured my renting process has been smooth-sailing and problem-free. Super pleased with their services!

19th May 2026 (28 days ago)We recently worked with Zuplex to rent a property in Harlow, Essex. From day 1 the team were helpful. Dilber showed us around and answered any questions we had, and then oversaw the process of obtaining info for background checks etc. Berk was our contact for all the paperwork and every interaction with him was easy. Their efficiency throughout the whole process meant we were in the new home within a month of viewing it. I’d read a few bad reviews on here previously and honestly have no idea where they’ve come from, everyone we dealt with was polite, friendly and a pleasure to interact with. I’d definitely approach Zuplex if I was in the property market again, thanks guys for making a stressful time of our lives a little less stressful!- 28th May 2026 (19 days ago)SLM has been my Lettings Agent for many years. I never had a problem with tenants. It is a family business. Clients have a personal relationship with SLM. It starts with availability, reactivity and transparency. Each time I contacted SLM for a problem, a question, or documentation request, I had someone to talk to, immediatly or during the day. When one has properties under management in London, problems occur regularly. Within the frame of the law, SLM has always shown flexibility, adaptability and creativity at solving problems. 5 stars for David
