16th Jan 2026 (16 weeks ago)Godfrey & Barr , (and in particular Barbara & Jonathan) were brilliant at helping us sell our property in what was (and still is it would appear) a particularly difficult housing market last year! Their advice, patience, professionalism, overall support and willingness to get things done was exemplary and very much appreciated... I can't recommend them, (or thank them), enough as the well established, knowledgeable local agents they are to able to help you also sell your property!...
2nd Mar 2025 (1 year ago)My communication with Winkworth was on and off. During that intermittent interaction with one of their agent, he sounded professional and very eager to assist with the selling. Overall Winkworth tried their best to sell my property but unfortunately was unsuccessful.

I let my property out with them for nearly 5 years, and I'm still waiting in January for the final month's rent to be paid back to me from the tenant leaving in mid-November last year. On top of that the tenant left the flat in a complete state and I'm yet to receive any deposit money back to compensate. Calls/emails to the agency are being ignored.
11th Sep 2025 (7 mo. ago)After deciding to move to a family plot, we engaged with Sworders, who we have used many times before, for planning advice for a replacement dwelling. After getting some initial stellar advice from Clare Hutchinson, I was introduced to Hazel Izod who had only recently joined Sworders. As a former planning officer, Hazel immediately gave me confidence with her very detailed knowledge of the planning policies and laws but also understands the perspective of the planning authority, therefore providing solid and balanced advice to achieve our aims. Hazel expertly guided us through the process, helping us to overcome obstacles, explain concepts and I felt truly brought into our vision, becoming a strategic partner with us on this very personal and important journey. Whilst others may be well versed in the policies Hazel can interpret them with a practical and pragmatic approach, ensuring all elements are considered (including taking the likely views of the planning officer into account). Our application was successful on the first submission, and I have no doubt that this was largely down to Hazel’s expertise and input. We have subsequently instructed Hazel on various other planning applications (or preparation work) and have had the same impressive and responsive service. With one application, for a car port, the application was initially turned down due to the land we proposed building on being considered “open Hertfordshire countryside”. Within days of the refusal, Hazel had prepared a detailed and comprehensive appeal for the application, and the refusal was overturned. I have recommended Hazel to everyone who has asked me who I would recommend for planning advice, and she is literally on my speed dial when anything planning related comes up.

2nd Apr 2022 (4 years ago)I have recently purchased a detached bungalow at Winchmore Hill from Fullers. I am very satisfied with the performance of Fullers and the entire transaction is very smooth even I have to arrange the matter via email communication with Fullers overseas. Fullers is a very reliable, trustworthy and responsive estates agent and is highly recommended.
4th Jun 2024 (1 year ago)Slow to give feedback on viewings. I had to chase after a couple of days but improved when I complained. Some rushed viewings . One agent arrived and said it had to be quick and she had asked the buyer to come earlier. Another told a late buyer asked to come at 8.45am on arrival that they only had 15 minutes so it would be a quick look . We were told they had a large database of buyers but I wonder if just relying on the property listings and their database algorithms to find people was enough. They did offer us a premium listing months later when I asked what else could be done and this generated viewings . Unable to arrange one second viewing and blamed staff absence for not contacting the buyer when I rang up a week later and the buyer did not return their call. People not getting back to them happened a lot . We were never shown any evidence of their contacts with people . It's a shame as they understood the market and provided a lot of information about why viewings were sparse due to external factors.Pleasant staff with good local knowledge. We gave them a long period as it was a tough time to sell but did decide to find another agent in the end as they did not seem that proactive .

At every stage of the process they were helpful, and went out of their way to build a good relationship between buyers and sellers which worked to everyone's advantage-- especially as in this case the sellers will be our future neighbours. We had very well arranged zoom calls and resolved timing issues to do with stamp duty, moving dates, etc. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and we are very grateful to Sophia and the team.

17th Jun 2025 (10 mo. ago)We changed to Kingsley Estates after our original sale fell through. Jack from Kingsley Estates is a real breath of fresh air. He organised an open house for potential purchasers within days of instruction and generated loads of interest. He kept us informed every step of the way and provided us with valuable advice and guidance when we needed it. He is also very competitively priced, so we save money too! We are now looking to exchange contracts within the next week and are looking forward to moving into our new home. I would not hesitate to recommend Jack & Kingsley Estates if you are looking to sell your house.
