10th Nov 2025 (6 mo. ago)Avoid Hills Estate Agency at All Costs!! I have spent the past year being over-promised and massively under-delivered by Hills. The experience has been nothing short of a disaster. There has been a complete failure in communication from start to finish. I was repeatedly given “estimated completion dates” that never materialised, followed by weeks even over a month of no contact whatsoever. Because of their poor advice, I am now over £2,000 out of pocket. The unprofessionalism is staggering. Staff openly discussed the seller’s personal finances, telling me the seller “had no money” and describing them as “an absolute nightmare customer.” Imagine paying Hills thousands of pounds to sell your property, only for them to bad-mouth you to the buyer. Completely unacceptable. Given this behaviour, it’s no surprise there are so many negative reviews online. I submitted a formal complaint and received a response from Charlotte today no empathy, no apology. If this is how a director behaves, it’s clear why the rest of the staff follow suit. If you value your time, your money and your sanity, avoid Hills like the plague!! Useless!!

7th May 2026 (17 days ago)Communication was outstanding with same-day updates after every viewing, so we always knew where we stood, and the quality of the photography and video tour was genuinely first class - the house looked amazing. Chris and Antony were nothing but helpful and able to provide any support required. Would highly recommend.

Andrew and the team are truly exceptional, the customer experience from Dawn and Caitlin is professional and personal striking the perfect balance between friendly and organised by hitting every deadline in a timely manner within the sales process. Andrews talent in videography is simply first class, we always use Cardwells estate agents for property sales and purchase and trust them implicitly as they repeatedly make what can be a stressful process simple and easy.. Perfection! Thank you!

8th May 2026 (16 days ago)Not a reliable agent! The team here are forceful to close deals and do not do any due diligence on tenants or care for landlords properties. They moved tenants into our property that turned our family home into a drug den! They refused to take accountability and have stopped answering calls or responding to messages. Will be telling everyone to avoid gascoigne halman ! Do not trust this agent with your property!!!!

Their tenacity, diligence, efficiency, honesty and speed was constant and they are quite simply miracle workers. We are forever in their debt and could not recommend them highly enough. If you are looking for estate agents who get the job done, treat you respectfully and sensitively; these are the people for you. Full marks for them all, best in class, without a shadow of a doubt. 8th May 2026 (16 days ago)Avoid at all cost. I rented a George Adams property with 3 friends. As easy going tenants we never asked for much, but anything that was raised sometimes took weeks, usually took months to resolve and once never at all. Be warned - the worst part comes at end of tenancy. George Adam’s tried to take deposit money for things under: ‘extra owed rent’, maintainence and cleaning - despite us moving out on time, properly following their instructions, paying professionals to carry out work for us (cleaning), things being left in the same condition as when we moved in and things falling under normal wear & tear. They also claim for things that constitute betterment of a property. Mid way through the dispute, weeks after checking out, they added random things to the claim with zero evidence or clarity on what the issues were (this happened when they realised they were not getting the amount they initially requested from us). If you do take a tenancy with this shocking company, make sure you take pictures of the property and garden the day you move in. We left everything in the same condition as when we moved in (examples are leaves on the driveway and garden, missing lightbulbs, floors and skirting boards etc) I also recommend you spend a bit of time thoroughly researching your rights at the end of the tenancy - we ended up getting all of our deposit back 2 months down the line, it was worth every minute we spent disputing it - I am so glad our deposit is not lining the wallets of this money grabbing agency. The irony is, if they’d had claimed for a few £100 pounds we’d have paid, but the claim list was so extensive and ridiculous we fought for every pound. Please also check your full deposit amount is paid into the DPS properly - our DPS was £100 short of the actual deposit amount paid. Luckily we had kept all records of requested and sent amounts.
