2nd Sep 2026 (14 days ago)We have had a great experience buying a house with Jacobs Steel in Shoreham. They provided us with a really personal, trustworthy and considerate service. Shannon went above and beyond to get us into properties early and found us our forever home. We felt she really cared about us and worked so hard to find us the right house. We had quite a difficult conveyancing period as someone in our chain had complicated finances and we have to give a special mention to Dom. He kept us informed- he kept us buoyant and he provided a really exceptional customer service. He was knowledgeable about the process and tried hard to speed the process up for us. I think we might have thrown the towel in if he hadn’t been quite so persistent! He is a real asset to the company. We bought through Jacobs Steel and I wish we had sold through them too. We chose a more local agent but we really valued how dynamic the team at Shoreham were in getting us over the line. Many thanks! It’s a stressful process, there’s no denying it and you need a strong team like this one behind you. I would recommend Jacob’s Steel to anyone.

27th Aug 2026 (20 days ago)Having just sold our property through Thomas Merrifield’s Didcot branch, I think a five-star review is thoroughly deserved.<br><br>Ours was a less-than-straightforward transaction and took rather a long time to complete, through absolutely no fault of Thomas Merrifield. Throughout the process, we spoke with various members of the team, all of whom were understanding, helpful and willing to pick things up when needed, particularly during periods of holiday and leave.<br><br>I must specifically thank Jamie and Nick for all their hard work throughout. Without their persistence and involvement, I genuinely think the transaction may not have happened at all.<br><br>Jamie in particular was exceptionally hardworking and simply would not let a sub-standard conveyancer get away with poor work (nothing to do with Thomas Merrifield or ourselves, I should add!). He chased tenaciously, kept the pressure on and did everything he could to keep things moving.<br><br>A huge thank you to Jamie, Nick and the wider Didcot team (Jenny, James to name a few!) for getting what was at times a very frustrating transaction over the line. Very much appreciated and highly recommended.

It was not straight forward with the solicitors on both sides needing a lot of chasing and it being a drawn out process but Owen was efficient, always kept me updated with what was happening and kept me positive. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better estate agent to deal with the sale of my home and I’d definitely recommend Owen/Scott Fraser to anyone that is selling/buying a shared ownership property.

Spoke to Honey arranged within seconds a quick viewing appointment and from there all the paperwork’s was quick and faster and replied to all the emails very soon. He was friendly, extremely helpful and very patient throughout the whole process. Everything was handled with a minimum of fuss, even though I was on holiday for the two weeks leading up to move-in day. By the time I moved in, everything had been sorted smoothly and was absolutely fine. Since then, Cosway have also been very helpful in dealing with any issues that have come up. I’d happily recommend them - and Jeremy in particular!

Always happy to answer questions and chase all parties to push everything along. Can’t thank him enough.<br>At no point did I think I was on my own, I felt like the staff cared and were looking out for everyone’s best interests.<br>Happily would use again!
