Kept in the loop with viewings and outcomes. Very useful feedback from potential buyers. Found the Street.co.uk app good. Would definitely use McFarlane Sales & Lettings again. Tim Stanley was excellent.

Jordan managed the process with a friendly yet professional calm, ironing out any wrinkles and ensuring that things stayed on track.
14th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Whatever the issue you face they don't respond. It was very bad experience. When we ask anything, they say it is managed by landlord and he will come and sort. I don't know why they are taking rent if they don't solve customer issues.

8th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)All the above 'excellents' look ridiculous I know, but they accurately and honestly reflect the service that I have received from Richard James which has been nothing short of astonishing. From the very initial photographs for the advertisement to keeping me informed of viewings and confirming the results of viewings, they could not have been more attentive and considerate. In particular I must name and thank Mr James Sargeant of their Wroughton office for his dogged and persistent qualities. I live in Devon and was afraid that I might not be kept quite so well informed as a result, but I need not have worried. I continue to be delighted with Richard James performance and would urge anyone selling a property to ring them up tomorrow - or even this afternoon!

Fed up with This agency, we keep chasing our deposit , no response and no clear communication; false and irrelevant checkout report , they do not deserve any star- 1st May 2026 (7 weeks ago)Very efficient service and process, was very easy from start to finish. Izzy and Chloe were brilliant throughout the entire process. Everything was explained properly and no question I had was an issue no matter how silly. Brilliant team and would highly recommend

Laura and Della made the application process incredibly simple and stress-free. They were very responsive to all my questions and ensured the property was in great condition for my move-in day. It’s rare to find an agency that genuinely seems to care about its tenants—highly recommended!"
15th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)As a first-time landlord, I expected clear communication, professionalism, and competent management. Chancellors/Oxon Property Management failed on all three. They were responsive until the paperwork was signed, but after that communication became slow, inconsistent, and unhelpful. Payment issues went unresolved for months, and staff regularly contradicted each other with different information. Their poor handling of the tenancy and failure to clearly communicate key requirements ultimately left me out of pocket at the end of the tenancy. Overall, an extremely frustrating experience. I would not recommend them to any landlord looking for a reliable managing agent.

19th Feb 2026 (17 weeks ago)Please avoid dealing with this agency . we rented a flat with them, there was a leaking from the above the property , we reported the issue , they did not even took the time to come and have a look into it . Very terrible experience, please avoid dealing with them. for a few dust, they are charging us 155 , a big SCAM. This agency does not deserve any star . our daughter was sick twice in this property . dehumidifier was on 24 hrs On . until now, we did not receive our deposit. We raised a complaint but they come back to us with bla bla without a resolution. We are planning to take to ombudsman
30th May 2026 (19 days ago)Absolutely disgraceful behavior, changed the viewing last minute and didnt even bother to show up at the new time or if they did, didnt bother to call us to confirm. Left us standing in the heat for 30mins with no explanation. Unprofessional!! We drove all the way from southampton.

8th Sep 2025 (9 mo. ago)Su Leeburn was my agent. Chose her over a few other estate agents who give quotes. Mostly for her local knowledge and personable approach. I only dealt with her and she did all of the viewings so was able to give great feedback. Once we had found buyers offering a reasonable price she negotiated a better price and kept me informed. The sale went well from exchange to completion and Su was able to manage the expectations of the buyer. Took about 6 months from initial listing to completion. A great service at every stage.
3rd Jun 2026 (15 days ago)Jacqueline at McFarlane has been looking after my property interests for many years now. The time has come to sell my rental property (due to my ill health). She has a difficult job managing my expectations, the tenant and the contractors. She has demonstrated reliability and persistence. Moreover she has been respectful, efficient and reliable occasionally in difficult circumstances. I would have given 5 stars if I was reviewing Jacqueline alone, however this review is of the service as a whole and some of the contractors have disappointed the tenant.

From the very first contact, Lauren was professional, friendly, and always willing to help.She kept me informed throughout the entire process, answered all my questions promptly, and made what could have been a stressful experience feel straightforward and manageable. Their knowledge of the local property market was excellent, and they worked hard to achieve the best possible outcome. I particularly appreciated their honesty, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service. I would highly recommend Lauren and Chloe to anyone looking to buy, sell, or rent a property.
