In 2025, we purchased our home through them and were very impressed with the experience. Ian Cattle managed the sale and was thoroughly professional and knowledgeable. He struck the perfect balance between presenting the house in a positive light while remaining honest and transparent. Because of that experience, we chose Carter Jonas to sell our own home, and Ian was brilliant. He took the time to really understand the property and the local area, and his proactive approach meant we secured a buyer quickly and smoothly. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Carter Jonas and Ian Cattle to anyone looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy estate agent.

You wanted to complete a form, which I understand, but then you said, 'Well, I can't go ahead without your address.' I hung up. Don't let your process drive your customer interaction, because you have lost the opportunity sell a large house. *** Updated Based on the Reply Below *** No other estate agent asked me for that 'essential information'.

23rd Jul 2025 (8 mo. ago)Philip May's genuine enthusiasm for the property we were selling, and his ability to sell Hodsons' services sold Hodsons to me as the estate agent to choose to sell a family home. The subsequent progress has been excellent, with a well-qualified buyer lined up within weeks. The only criticism I have is that a 'For Sale' sign was erected in the garden of the property which was unoccupied, and I had specifically asked for no sign.

On both occasions call-backs were promised but never happened. It seems they can afford to turn away potential clients and business. We will now use other agents.

31st Mar 2026 (16 days ago)Time wasters. They don’t include pet restrictions in ads. When we ring to ask about pets, they state “pets will be considered on application”. Then once we view the property and put in an application, they state pets will not be accepted. They must get some form of commission per application…

4th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)College and county has looked after two rental houses for me for several years and they take all the hassle out of my life. They select great tenants and give regular feedback on how the letting is progressing, they also deal efficiently with the normal household problems like drains, appliance breakages and keep me informed with me having to interrupt my day to sort them out. They have also negotiated HMO licences with the council on my behalf. I have had requests from other letting agencies but am not going to change. Thank you C&C
