7th Jun 2025 (5 weeks ago)The apartment we rented was left in a terrible state, I do not think the agency has checked whether the previous tenants have cleaned it or not. I would not trust them with another rental. Update: More than one week after the intended move-in date they have not sent anyone to solve the mould problem or clean the apartment. We are struggling to get in touch with them, which is causing us a lot of stress. In particular, Antony has been unresponsive and dismissive. When discussing the mould problem on the phone, he said 'just wipe it off', instead of arranging for a cleaning agency to fix it.
24th Jun 2025 (18 days ago)It was my bad luck that I came across them to rent the 23 York street flat with bed bugs. They made all false promises and claims. Just as I moved in, I noticed a number of problems: - Intercom wasn't working, there was no wiring - Heater wasn't working - Water pressure in the bathroom was too low - Oven was dysfunctional - Such poor sound and heat insulation that I wake up to the alarm of my neighbour at 5am! - Old white goods - washer dryer was broke for 3 months, had to go to the laundrette - Boiler stopped working for a month before leaving. And just after a few months, there was a heavy infestation of bed bugs in the entire building. Also, noticed two mice in the apartment. I had to spend sleepless nights with the bed bugs giving me body rashes and itchy bumps. I suffered immense loss of money discarding my 500£ worth Nectar mattress and 200£ bed and other furniture items and clothes. Felt so stuck in the flat. Instead of any sort of reimbursement in the rent or otherwise, they had the audacity to deduct money from my deposit in the end. Now, I've moved to a new modern apartment but suffering from PTSD, can't sleep at night. Even a tiny itch makes me wake up and obsessively inspect my new bedding. If you care for your mental and physical health, this agency is not worth trusting at all. They're just a bunch of vicious greedy soul less folks earning really a bad Karma.

We were on a very tight schedule while looking for an apartment in central London. From the very beginning, Siobhan demonstrated an exceptional ability to listen to our needs and preferences. She was dedicated to finding a property that would meet all our requirements and excelled in communication between us and the landlord. Siobhan’s hands-on approach made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. She was always punctual for meetings and viewings and proactively communicated with us, guiding us through the process. Her friendly demeanour and genuine care for her clients made us feel valued and understood. If you're looking for a real estate agent who truly goes above and beyond, Siobhan is the one to call!

Super helpful, thoughtful, responsive and really kept the dialogue going and sale on track when the lawyers were sitting on their hands. He is hugely knowledgeable about the market and experienced at the sale process. Made my life easier too by helping me out and going to my flat to check its cleanliness, perform an inventory when my tenant left... I can't recommend him enough. Selling is super stressful and he really made the whole thing much easier for me.

We have had some major works needed to our apartment and he has ensured the works completed on time and that we were taken care of too. We are in safe hands with Francesco at Martin&Co!

7th Jul 2025 (5 days ago)Working with Dexters has been a wonderful experience, especially consulting with Max P. while looking for a new flat. Through the whole process, Max has been diligent and understanding of my flatmate and I’s requests, and been more than patient with us as new renters. We are so happy to have found the perfect place, all thanks to Max and Dexters! Overall it has been a great experience working with someone so professional (not to mention determined to find us our dream flat!), so I’d rate the experience 10/10. Big thank you to Max and Dexters for all the help!!
3rd Jul 2025 (9 days ago)Sadly very unpleasant dealing with this agency and different staff in this office. Unprofessional, dishonest, disrespectful. Been in London for 23 years and this is one of the WORSE. Very very aggressive and quick to make you pay the money and sign the contract and very very Slow to provide any any kind of help or service. I have to stuck with this for 2 years because of my contract and my landlord is really respectful and good. Tried to talk with the manager complete ignorance, no response to emails... But if they want anything from you can call you 6 - 7 times a day with out even considering privacy. Any faults with the property are quickly remediated, and the agency is very responsive to queries in general. Renewal of my tenancy was handled quickly and professionally by my agent James. 28th Jun 2025 (14 days ago)I paid a £2,500 reservation fee for a commercial unit in May, but the contract pack wasn’t provided until November — and by March, key documents were still missing. Communication was poor throughout, and when I raised structural concerns and asked to negotiate, the seller showed no flexibility. I eventually withdrew, having lost time and money. The agent ignored my formal complaint entirely and refused to refund any of the reservation fee, despite delays being outside my control. I would advise other buyers to be very cautious — this process was unfair, unbalanced, and handled with little regard for basic standards of service

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
