6th Jul 2026 (21 days ago)We recently purchased our first home through Hilton & Horsfall. Throughout the transaction, we remained patient because we genuinely loved the property; however, below is an honest summary of our experience. Whilst I could write considerably more, I have limited this review to the main points.<br><br>Bella dealt with the majority of the transaction and was our main point of contact throughout. During the earlier stages of the purchase, she was helpful, responsive and professional, and we appreciated her assistance during what became a long and sometimes stressful process.<br><br>Unfortunately, our experience was not consistent across all members of staff. I have noticed that several other reviews mention Teal, and sadly our experience with him seems to align with other comments on Google reviews.<br><br>One recurring frustration was repeatedly being told, word for word, “I know you’re only first-time buyers, so you don’t know how this works.” Whilst we appreciate that first-time buyers may need additional guidance, comments like this came across as dismissive and condescending rather than helpful. This happened on numerous occasions, including when arranging surveys, requesting a second viewing and discussing the progress of the transaction.<br><br>Communication was also a source of frustration. From offer acceptance to around the 15-week mark, the only update we received was that matters were “with the seller’s onward purchase”. It was only after asking our solicitor to aid us in following up on the Estate Agent that we discovered there were Land Registry issues affecting the seller’s onward purchase. Earlier and more transparent communication would have made the process far less stressful.<br><br>Another concern was that on several occasions I called the main office number and was directed to voicemail. When I called straight back from with my Caller ID turned off, the call was answered immediately. The first time I assumed it was a coincidence, but after it happened repeatedly it was clear that the team at Hilton & Horsfall ignore calls that they do not want to deal with.<br><br>Completion day was particularly disappointing. Our purchase completed at around 12pm and we received a call confirming this, but were then told not to collect the keys until the seller’s onward purchase had completed because “that’s simply how it works”. I immediately contacted our solicitor, who confirmed this was simply not the case. Once completion had taken place, the property legally belonged to us. The sellers were sat in the front garden waiting for their own purchase to complete while our removal company had to be delayed until they eventually left the property at around 3pm.<br><br>Ultimately, we proceeded because we genuinely loved the property and wanted to complete the purchase. Had we not felt so strongly about the house itself, our experience would have led us to withdraw much earlier.<br><br>Whilst we understand that the seller is the estate agent’s client, the buying experience still matters. Bella was helpful during the earlier stages of the transaction. Unfortunately, our overall experience was let down by our interactions with Teal and the way the latter stages of the purchase were handled.<br><br>As a result, we would not choose to market a property through Hilton & Horsfall in the future and would be reluctant to view another property listed by them.

No communication, no updates, they over value a property to get you on board and then you have to keep reducing the price because they cannot sell it. 2 years to sell a property during a time when all houses were flying off the shelves! Anything associated with Duckworths, I would stay well away unless you want to lose money. They don't care and it shows in their service.

22nd Jun 2026 (5 weeks ago)I’m in the second property rented from Regency and can’t state enough how great they have been. They react immediately to any issue (I.e. when my oven stopped working it was replaced within 48 hours).<br><br>All boiler services and safety checks are carried out and certificates issued every year on schedule. The gas boiler is serviced annually as well.<br><br>As landlords, I would highly recommend Regency.
17th Jul 2026 (10 days ago)I would not recommend Eafield & Maple based on my experience.<br><br>Communication was consistently poor throughout our tenancy. Simple queries often took repeated follow-ups, and responses were frequently delayed. The most frustrating example was the repair to our windows, which took almost two years to be resolved despite us raising the issue on numerous occasions.<br><br>The same pattern continued after we moved out. The handling of our deposit has been unnecessarily slow, with very little communication or transparency regarding the process. Chasing for updates became the norm rather than the exception.<br><br>Overall, the lack of communication, prolonged delays, and poor customer service made what should have been a straightforward tenancy far more stressful than it needed to be. I hope they improve their communication and responsiveness in the future, as no tenant should have to spend so much time chasing basic updates.

Nicola went above and beyond what other agents would do to solve issues with one of my flats and swiftly found a tenant. Highly recommended.- 8th Jul 2026 (19 days ago)I’ve recently completing a property purchase through Keenans Accrington, and I can honestly say Isaac made the whole experience so much easier than I expected.<br>From the very beginning, he was friendly, professional, and always willing to go out of his way to make me feel comfortable and reassured. Buying a property can be stressful, but Isaac was always on hand to answer questions, keep me updated, and make sure I understood what was happening at each stage.<br><br>One thing that really stood out was how helpful he was throughout the entire process. He even introduced me to a fantastic mortgage advisor, which made a huge difference and helped everything come together smoothly.<br><br>His communication was excellent, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble.<br><br>Thanks to Isaac's support and dedication, what could have been a stressful experience felt straightforward and manageable.<br>A massive thank you to Isaac and the team at Keenans Accrington.<br><br>I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a property. Outstanding service from start to finish!

21st Jun 2026 (5 weeks ago)I sold my house for a fixed fee, agreed in advance and it was only on the market for two weeks before a sale was achieved, unfortunately that fell through but the day afterwards I had two more viewings and two offers , one of which I accepted and it is progressing now . The team are lovely , good at communicating and I was pleased with the outcome .
30th Apr 2026 (13 weeks ago)?Extremely poor management. Currently withholding my full month's rent without authorization to 'offset' a maintenance bill. They ignored direct written instructions to keep rent and maintenance separate and attempted to charge for work before it was even completed (which they only admitted today). They are now claiming I owe them money despite holding my full rent. Communication has been evasive. Matter now referred to the Property Ombudsman and Trading Standards UPDATE 30/04/26: Following a formal deadline and this public review, the agency has now released my rent in full. I have settled the maintenance invoice separately as originally requested. While the financial matter is now resolved, it should not have required a legal threat and a public complaint to receive my own rental income.

They kept us updated at every stage and checked in regularly to see if there was anything they could help with. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!
17th Jul 2026 (10 days ago)Please stay clear of this company. They are highly unprofessional and have no desire to stand by their own terms and work in a smooth and timely manner. They do not stay updated on any progress when working through a purchase of a property and do not act as if they want to get to completion within their own 60-day terms. I had two occasions on the same property when a mortgage valuation was booked in, and the Jack Senior at Let Property assured me the first would be completed. Once no one turned up at the property to allow access for the valuation, it had to be rebooked, and when I spoke to Jack again he assured me 100% someone would be there. But again, when the valuer arrived at the property no one was there to allow access. Also during the process it would take days, sometimes a week, to get a simple bit of info or just a return call from Jack or anyone at Let Property. They set 60-day completion terms, which I was happy to work to and moved fast on my side, but when they constantly delayed things, it got to the point nothing was moving foward. On top of this, they take a reservation deposit and will not refund it has we are past the 60-day terms even with the delays being their own fault. I would highly recommend staying clear and using any other company. I have found Pure Investor to be very professional, helpful and hardworking to make sure both the seller and buyer are happy and continue to get things moving forward.

5th Jan 2026 (6 mo. ago)As a potential buyer it is very difficult to get through to these estate agents. I have waited over a week for them to get back to me regarding a viewing for properties. They seem to be very adverse to picking up the phone or replying to email enquiries if you are looking to either buy or sell your property I would personally stay clear from this Estate Agent. In addition to this the re occurring theme of discriminatory behaviour is very off putting in the previous reviews as well.
