From the initial referencing and checks, through to moving in I cannot give them enough credit. Unlike any other letting agents I've ever dealt with. Friendly, professional and quick responses any time we've contacted, would highly recommend.

9th Apr 2024 (9 days ago)We were approached by Aimee from Connells after our house had been on the market for a few months with another agent. From the off she was a complete professional, empathetic, personable and clearly passionate about her job. After deciding to change and use Connells we have found the whole team to be charming, helpful and organised. I had given birth during the months the house was on sale and whilst at home recovering the team were always so respectful and friendly. Josh in particular was fantastic and always made viewings a breeze. When the sale of the house was going through Tracey was outstanding in her communication and really helped with any issues that came up with the solicitors. She was always up to date with what was going on and we never felt like we were chasing for information in what is the most stressful point of selling. The whole team though have honestly been great and anyone else we met along the way have known all the information they needed and have been thorough, warm and approachable. I really felt like they worked so hard to sell our house in what is a really difficult time in the current climate. I am so glad we decided to use Connells to sell our house as the whole process has been so easy and smooth and would not hesitate to use them again in the future or recommend them to others. Its a ten out of ten from us!

10th Jan 2024 (14 weeks ago)Very bad experience. Seller Accepted offer. My mortgage broker was working on it. Received call from Nina estates saying seller declined my offer after 5 days. I spoke to David same day in the morning saying give me 24hrs I will provide mortgage in principal. Same day evening time received call from David seller declined offer. Very disappointing.
18th Mar 2024 (4 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. 15th Apr 2024 (3 days ago)Sold after 8 weeks. Had to reduce the price but know that is often the case. Perhaps a quiet time initially, hence no viewings for many weeks but we got there in the end.
2nd Apr 2024 (16 days ago)We had our house valued by Charles because we wanted to buy ourselves out of the Help to Buy scheme. It was valued at £415,000. Our neighbour's house, which is exactly the same, has just gone on the market for £395,000. I'm not sure why our house was valued at £20,000 more than the neighbour's; it's the same house but 10ft to the left. I mentioned at the time that it seemed like an overvaluation. We obviously have to pay 20% of the valuation to repay the Help to Buy, so we were disappointed and still think £415,000 is a high valuation for our property compared to others on our estate.

Our journey was not an easy one, as we had a lot of difficulty with our sellers solicitors, but he was there every step of the way. He was as invested in the move as much we were. Supported us from the moment we contacted him, so the moment we completed. Thanks Andy!

Completely put me off viewing any properties with them.
