22nd Jan 2026 (9 mo. ago)We saw a property for let online, and last week my partner reached out to the agency to request a viewing and ask what documents were needed for the application. We were told we’d get an email with the details, but never received a response. After ome week I followed up asking for both a reply and a viewing, but again, nothing. Honestly, it’s not surprising the property has been on the market for almost a year—prospective tenants shouldn’t have to chase basic communication. Because of this lack of professionalism and responsiveness, we decided to look elsewhere and won’t be dealing with this agency.
25th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)I recently bought and sold with Irwin Scott and could not recommend them enough- Dan was extremely helpful in finding us a buyer and helping us secure the property we loved. Alban’s customer service was second to none when it come to completing paperwork and securing moving dates. A local boutique friendly estate agent who I would use time and time again :)
17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

Celia was fantastic, she was always available when I needed a question answered, she stayed in regular contact with me from the very first viewing right through to completion. Celia went above and beyond her duties, she helped speed up the process by speaking to solicitors and chasing things up for the vendor and I. I highly recommend Equus Property and when the time comes to move on i would not hesitate in contacting them to market my property. Thank you Celia for all of your help.
13th Apr 2026 (6 mo. ago)We have just sold our House through Colebrook Sturrock, Sandwich branch, in April 2026. From initial valuation to completing on our sale took just 7 weeks and was incredibly stress free. Our sale was handled by Sarah who has been fantastic from start to finish. This is not a one-off experience as we have bought and sold houses through Sarah before and can honestly say that she is, hands down, the best estate agent we have ever dealt with! Sarah really knows her stuff, but above all she’s a great communicator with a human touch, which really does make both buying and selling a pleasure. We have had the best experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Colebrook Sturrock.??????????

The whole process was made very easy by your staff members Paul, Krista and Becky.<br>Each time I had any questions they replied very quickly and their expertise guiding me through the process left me feeling I was in safe hands.<br>Their friendly approach completely put me at ease and the whole process was seamless. We now have tenants in the property and will not hesitate to use your services in the future.<br>Thank you once again for a brilliant service.
17th Sep 2026 (7 weeks ago)We had ongoing issues with the honesty and support we received from this agency during our purchase. Our independently arranged snagging inspector had a failed visit because the developer forgot the appointment and the property wasn't ready. We were charged £399 by the inspector, in line with his standard terms for a missed visit. Rather than holding the developer accountable, a staff member phoned our inspector and questioned his honesty about how the booking was made. The inspector later told us this in writing himself, describing it as "concerning." Only after he pushed back with a clear account of events did the agency admit in writing that we "certainly shouldn't be charged for a service that wasn't carried out," but no resolution was actually offered. Separately, when we queried being asked to cover the developer's solicitor's fees, our own solicitor had already explained the general process to us. Our concern was that the developer wasn't following up as agreed to justify the specific charge. Despite this, we were told the agency was "surprised our solicitor hadn't explained it", which wasn't accurate, since it had been explained. Our actual query was never properly addressed. Our experience was that when we raised legitimate concerns, the agency's instinct was to defend the developer rather than engage honestly with what we were telling them.

He is incredibly sharp and knowledgable within his job, and was patient with me every step of the way. You can see he has a very kind soul which is rare nowadays, and it was a pleasure to work with him. Highly recommended

24th Oct 2026 (9 days ago)Used Philip Jarvis to sell my mothers house, they priced it sensibly, found a buyer, guided us through the process and co-ordinated with buyers. An excellent service, I would thoroughly recommend using them to sell your property.
23rd May 2024 (2 years ago)I would highly recommend Angela Hirst when looking to rent your new home. So professional and such a friendly service. If I had a question I would get a reply quickly and explained well if there was something I didn't understand. The day I got my keys the agent was very thorough with the inventory check of the property and made sure I had everything I needed before she left. 100% would recommend if I know anyone looking to rent.

21st Oct 2026 (12 days ago)I can't say enough nice things about Folkestone Hunters.<br><br>We had an incredible run of bad luck (through no fault of Hunters, I should stress!) while selling our property with them - time wasters and chain collapses that really caused a lot of stress and would have caused lesser estate agents to give up on us and leave us languishing at the bottom of rightmove's listings.<br><br>But Geoff, Joy and David never stopped working hard on getting our house sold even when things looked bleak, were always available to talk things through (I'm sure they were sick of hearing my voice by the end of it all!) and were always so patient, kind and good-humoured throughout the process.<br><br>Working with them was a 10/10 experience during a really stressful time and I can't thank them enough. Highly recommended.

But despite explaining at the valuation that they worked for us and not the buyer, they seemed to be more interested in the buyers needs than ours, trying to get us to accept rubbish offers. In the end, we didn’t listen to them and got a better deal because of it. They also were constant with communication, which could be helpful except they updated us with essentially no update. However, they were quick in listing and had a great online set up with photos etc and were on target with initial valuation. Definitely feels like part of a big firm now, which has it’s benefits and drawbacks.

We were always kept up to date on viewings and feedback and during the sale process Joy was outstanding. I would recommend them and use them again if I were planning a move.

Minimal viewings Person showing the house (not the exp lead) arrived at the same time as the potential buyers so house wasn’t opened up or displayed to best advantage No communication from the estate agent I would not use exp again. Very disappointed.
