17th Mar 2026 (7 weeks ago)From the initial contact everyone was really friendly, called back when they had promised, booked a viewing without setting up an account or sending tons of property emails that do not meet our search criteria. The viewing was at the time agreed and I felt it was very respectful to the tenant to have a group viewing on one day. Property had multiple offers and the bidding process was clear and fair. A very positive experience!

Was very patient as at some times I was really stressed. The sale took months to go through, but finally today we completed. Thank you everyone at Park Estates. You're a great team.

18th Feb 2026 (11 weeks ago)turned out to be a difficult sale due to the buyers solicitor being incompetent and unhelpful, the guys at your move were very helpful keeping up the pressure on the buyers to get the sale done and to resolve the problems that the buyers solicitors created, they were all ways there to talk to me and and keep things moving, i know that Dan the manager in the branch put a lot more effort into the sale than would normally be expected, So big thanks to Dan and his team. The only thing i would have some reservations about was their recommendation to use Homefast/PPL as my solicitors, they are cheap and work on a no sale no fee basis which is good and they are probably ok if your sale go's smoothly but i felt a bit left in the dark as they did not really keep me informed when problems and delays came up and it was not all ways easy to get in touch with them, there is very little direct contact with the solicitor appointed to your sale and the vast majority of thing are done through an online portal and not being a very competent computer user i did at times find it difficult. We got there in the end and Yourmove stuck with me and gave support all the way through so i would be happy to recommend them.

Every question, viewing and phone call was sorted quickly, which gave us confidence throughout the whole process. The house buying process was smooth and we believe she was a huge part of that. Thanks?? we would recommend this agency to friends/family.
17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

Mark Waldron has provided us with excellent help and advice throughout, from our first meeting with him for valuation purposes, then during viewings and consideration of offers, and finally helping us to navigate through exchange and completion. He has a detailed knowledge of the Joydens wood area. He gave very good, honest advice around the selling price. His team are responsive and friendly. They are all very professional and give clear regular updates and advice. I have just sold the property and could not be more pleased. I would recommend unreservedly to other sellers.

Always available, always charming, always diligent in following up the slightest lead. The video by Corinne was amazing and the property was live and on the market within hours. It sold on the first viewing for above the marketed value. Although completion took longer than anticipated Paul & Dawn kept us updated throughout the process. I cannot recommend Local Agent enough. Denise and Ken

The focus on the presentation helped get people in the door and I believe heled them see themselves in the flat. He was helpful through the offer process when I was keen to take the first one. I’m glad I didn’t.

27th Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)THE RUDEST ESTATE AGENT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS IN MY LIFE! Usually you would expect to be welcomed to to a property you are looking to buy, invited to park on the drive so you can see what it would be like to live there. Not Claudia Romano, who arrives 1 minute before the appointment, shouting out of her car door, "I'M THE ESTATE AGENT SO I GET TO PARK THERE!". And then, once we have driven around and finally found somewhere to park, has the cheek to tell us that we're late and we will not have a full appointment - when we were there first! Prospective sellers - avoid at all costs!!!
15th Jul 2025 (9 mo. ago)Overpromised, Underperformed and Untrustworthy – My Costly Mistake with HSD I initially listed my property with PurpleBricks in March 2025 for £535,000. After limited viewings over a three-month period, I began exploring other options and submitted an enquiry to WeBuyAnyHouse. They quickly came back with an offer of £460,000—roughly 14% below asking—claiming it would allow for a quick sale. I immediately declined, as I was not in a rush and didn’t want to take such a significant loss. Shortly after, my details were apparently passed on to House Sales Direct (HSD), seemingly a sister company, without my explicit consent. HSD came across as professional and engaging at first. They promised a 98% success rate in selling properties within 28 days, citing a strong network of pre-approved buyers and investors who could complete within 6–8 weeks. They suggested a sale price spread of £510k–£535k, assuring me they would work to get me the best price possible. It sounded promising. Based on these assurances, I decided to proceed with HSD. I withdrew my PurpleBricks listing—costing me £300—with the understanding that HSD’s investor network would accelerate the sale. But things quickly began to unravel. Despite supposedly having investors lined up, HSD said they needed to relist my property on Rightmove first. When I questioned why investors couldn’t simply view the home, the response was vague. It took nearly two weeks for them to relist, and the new asking price was £525,000. A full week passed without any communication. Then came a call recommending the price be dropped to £499,000. I was told this was “just a marketing tactic,” and that they still aimed to get me a sale within the original £510k–£535k range. But I struggled to understand how listing a property nearly £40,000 lower would achieve that. I asked again about the investors. They finally admitted the only offer received was the same £460k I'd declined weeks earlier through WeBuyAnyHouse. This was when the red flags really began to show. Why wasn’t I told this upfront? Why present an optimistic price range if their investor offer was fixed at £460k from the beginning? Why was I encouraged to pull the property from PurpleBricks if they intended to rely on the open market anyway? I could have just reduced the price there and avoided unnecessary costs and delays. Doing more research online, I found stories from others with eerily similar experiences. It appeared HSD’s real model was to attract sellers with high expectations and then drop the price, relying on open-market tactics to force a quick sale. Despite claiming not to charge commission, they would never clearly explain how they made their money. It seems they may be negotiating higher prices with buyers while offering sellers less—profiting off the gap. No transparency, no trust. Meanwhile, they knew I was paying a high mortgage on an empty property. It became clear they were hoping I’d become desperate enough to accept the same low £460k offer I had already rejected twice. In the four weeks my property was listed with them, only four viewings were arranged. Two were no-shows. Of the remaining two, one viewer stayed for just five minutes—asked no questions and didn’t even view all the rooms. It felt performative, not serious. As expected, neither viewer submitted an offer, despite supposedly being “pre-qualified and keen.” Eventually, I told HSD I wanted to withdraw the property. That’s when I was informed—shockingly—that I had unknowingly signed up for a 52-week contract, and I’d need to pay £1,500 to exit, or £999 if paid within 7 days. I wrote to them, acknowledged that they had done some work, and offered a reasonable £699 exit fee, explaining I needed to rent the home out due to financial strain. They refused and insisted on full payment. I paid the £999 immediately—but it still took a full week and several chasers before they finally removed the property from Rightmove. By the end of the ordeal, it was clear I was no longer a priority for them. In summary: Do I regret choosing HSD? Absolutely. Would I recommend them to someone looking for a fair, transparent, and professional house sale experience? No. If your only goal is to sell quickly and you don’t care about value, they might work for you. But if you want to sell your home at a decent price with a partner you can trust, I strongly advise staying away from HSD.

25th Apr 2026 (10 days ago)Buying and selling a house or flat is a stressful affair so you need a good estate agent. Holly at Anthony Martin wasn’t just good, she was great. Always keping us updated .. she chivvied and chased solicitors, surveyors, mortgage companies (yes they all need it!) with the aim of getting the deal over the line asap, which is what we all want. As sellers, we felt Holly and Anthony Martin always had our best interests at heart. Looking back on the sale of our flat, we made such a good decison to go with Anthony Martin.

Throughout the process Kevin kept us updated with clear and timely communications and went above and beyond. Kevin and the team were chasing up solicitors and parties in the chain and doing more than all the other agents put together to ensure that completion happened before Christmas. Anyone thinking of selling should not go anywhere else!
