From the outset, the process was far from straightforward, with a number of challenges arising along the way, particularly around communication with the sellers and various other complexities. Despite these obstacles, the team remained professional, proactive and supportive at every stage.<br><br>David and Verity were outstanding throughout the purchase process. They consistently kept us informed, responded quickly to queries, and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help overcome issues as they arose. Their persistence, attention to detail and commitment to ensuring progress was made a significant difference, and we are genuinely grateful for the role they played in helping us successfully complete the purchase.<br><br>On the sale of our property, Oliver and the wider sales team were equally impressive. Their market knowledge, guidance and dedication helped us secure the right purchaser and navigate the transaction smoothly. They were always available to provide advice, reassurance and updates, and their professionalism gave us confidence throughout what can often be a stressful process.<br><br>What stood out most was the team's commitment to delivering excellent customer service. 3rd Sep 2026 (17 days ago)My wife and family have lived in Kent for over 40 years, and every house that we bought or sold, of which there have been many, has been through Wards of Kent. They have always been an efficient and business-like agency. We trust them. Recently, we had to sell a second house in the village of New Ash Green that we were renting-out for over a decade. This was because of the changes in the tenancy laws.<br><br>The house was vacated by the tenant in March this year. It was well marketed by Wards and attracted a reasonable number of viewers over many months. Although there were a reasonable number of viewers and some price reductions no firm offers were received. This was because the market was already saturated with similar houses in the area; and our house had not had any major improvements compared to the opposition. The months were passing by and it became imperative for us to sell the house before the winter came. Being vacated and empty of any life and furniture in the winter would have rendered it sad and cold. This would have increased the problems of saleability and insurance cover. Also, we wanted to avoid an approaching new fixed term mortgage rate, which was likely to triplicate due to the enduring pressures from inflation and high cost of borrowing. After a few months, the manager of our local Wards branch in New Ash Green was replaced by a new manager, Steven Sanford<br>Steven Sanford did not waste any time in assessing our situation and familiarising himself with the New Ash Green scene. He came up with some novel solutions. It was obvious that sale by private treaty, which is the normal way, had its risks as many potential buyers might be picky and might demand price reductions or pull out at the last minute; thus causing us much frustration. Steven proposed a new idea, which involved a modern method auction of the house. This had the benefit of finding a reliable buyer and using proven in-house experts and conveyancers; all aimed at the promised securing and shortening of the sale process Steven and other colleagues in Wards had a good understanding of this new modern type of sale. They gave us the confidence that it would work; and in fact, it did work. We were able to sell the house reasonably quickly, without it languishing empty, for months. Yes, the house didn't reach the price that we had originally expected, but it was very possible that this price was completely unrealistic; due to the conditions that were prevalent at the time. So, in particular we would like Steven Sanford for all his care and attention during the sale. He is a very likable and efficient person, and we wish him well in his new post.

The team were fantastic, particularly Jacob and Richard, who were both incredibly helpful and professional throughout the process. Should we ever need their services again, we wouldn’t hesitate to use M&M.

Our application involved some challenges, particularly while we were trying to arrange a guarantor, but Mia remained patient and supportive throughout the entire process.She communicated with us consistently and kept us informed at every stage, which made what could have been a very stressful experience feel much more manageable.<br><br>Mia was always approachable, professional and willing to answer our questions. They did not even call me to let me know if it was cancelled or for whatever reason. I even called them on the same day, a few hours back, to ask about something which I assumed they were reminded about our appointment. What a waste of time, effort and resources.

They’re exactly what everyone in the area says they are; straight?talking, genuinely helpful, and properly tuned in to what’s happening in the local market.<br><br>You can tell they’ve been doing this for years, nothing fazes them. Overall what we really appreciated was how on it they were with communication. No chasing ever needed, and just clear, honest guidance and updates.<br><br>They’re the kind of agents you recommend because they’re just good blokes who know their stuff and make the whole thing feel straightforward. Basically if you’re selling or buying in the area, Strickland are a must!

We both bought and sold through them, and the whole experience was professional, friendly and straight forward from start to finish.<br><br>One thing that really stood out to us when choosing an agent was the quality of their property photographs. They present all their houses beautifully and really set themselves apart from the competition.<br><br>Communication throughout was excellent, and we always felt looked after and kept informed. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Damian and Zac. A fantastic service all round x
10th Sep 2026 (10 days ago)The only thing I’d criticise is that the tone of one of the office staff was a little hectoring. In selling a house, I think the agent ought to suggest, rather than push, options. But it was just one person and I didn’t have to deal with them too much.

Would highly recommend mainly due to the strong communication. They also went out of their way to show me other properties in the area to compare which helped.
