The team were supportive and helpful throughout and the communication was really great to keep me up dated on the process and progress. 21st May 2026 (22 days ago)We originally chose Melissa for our sale because she sold the house to us when we bought it 5 years ago, and we had such a positive experience as buyers that we felt confident she would do a great job for us as sellers too. Her valuation came in around £25k higher than two other local agents but this didn't feel like an enlarged number just to secure our business, we felt that she really understood the value of the property and this was proven correct as we agreed (and completed on) on a value that was £17k above that. It made it very clear to us that other local agents are pricing aggressively to get quick sales rather than the best value for their clients. Thankfully, Melissa was also the agent on the property we purchased and it just made for a very easy transaction. A huge thank you as well to Geraldine, who was brilliant throughout and handled the viewings (I think about 16+ in one day) perfectly. We’re incredibly grateful for all the effort from both Melissa and her team and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

6th Jun 2026 (6 days ago)I started off selling my property with Purplebricks and had a terrible experience (the worst customer service I've experienced in my life), I ended up in a position where I had found my dream house and was on the edge of losing it due to the incompetence of Purplebricks. However, Sharon Prestwood and the team at Cousins stepped in and they were fantastic. In less than a week they had my house back on the market and I had 3 solid offers the first day it was on the market. They did absolutely amazing, and I really cannot thank them enough for all their hard work. I couldn't recommend them enough.
1st Jun 2026 (11 days ago)Day 32 and still nothing! Please do not use this company. The comments from Earl below to try and reassure are utterly useless. We're now 32 days in waiting for this legal pack and still nothing and paid a ridiculous amount for the privilege of this. Not even an email or a phone call to apologise. Not, 'we'll chase it,' Nothing. And now after I've emailed, AGAIN, are they going to chase. Why weren't they - after 32 days - chasing this already. You can forgive small mistakes, but this is just utter incompetence. Day 18 and still nothing. I can’t begin to tell you how useless Martin and Co are. 1st May - took over management and told they were hopeful information would be loaded on system that afternoon. 8th May - told just a couple of more things to upload 12th May - told it’s not there responsibility and had been outsourced and had to wait 14th May - 14 days after and still nothing. Write 1 star review in frustration 16th May - MD responded to apologise and promised to get to the bottom of it 16th May - told uploaded but now the information had to ‘sync’ but we’d hear Monday morning 18th May - surprise surprise - NOTHING 19th May - finally hear but now charged £564 for a legal pack which cost me £300 last year and now, I have to wait up to ten days for this as it's outsourced again and out of their hands. To say Martin and Co disgust me is putting it lightly. They've actually made me feel physcially sick. Avoid them at all costs. There is nothing good about this company. The stress they have caused me is off the scale. The whole chain knows the stall in this sale is down to Martin & Co. Two and a half months I’ve been waiting for this legal pack to sell my property. I’m literally trapped in a property through their incompetence & the worst is knowing we haven’t even got to the point of them putting the legal pack together yet. There local knowledge and reputation for selling similar properties as well as being competitively priced with their fee is what swung us towards using sell well. From the property being on the market, we sold our house within 3 weeks which was fantastic.

When they reached out to us we knew straight away the customer service we would be getting would be unbeatable, made us feel like we was the only customers they was dealing with even though we know how popular they are amongst the property market! Molly was a great help, and very approachable with any questions and queries we had, the vast amount of properties they also have in there portfolio was amazing, and even better so as we have found our next property through them as well, keeping everything with the same estate agents makes moving house so much easier and simpler! 18th May 2026 (25 days ago)Louis Was absolutely fantastic. He was courteous and knowledgable and never pushy. The viewings were conducted quickly and professionally, and while, through no fault of Jacob knight, the process was long and drawn out (mortgage issues), Louis was always available immediately when we needed him, either by phone or email. We had heard of agents for other companies being very good for the viewing process and then dropping off a cliff when it came to the nitty gritty of actually getting the process finalised. certainly not the case with Jacob knight, they were brilliant, can highly recommend.
