They understand the local market, did a really professional job with the photos and video for the marketing, and regularly updated me on viewings and outcomes. Thanks to their excellent advice, we sold my Dad's property at the end of November 24. The team are friendly, professional and excellent at their job. There is no need to look elsewhere!

22nd May 2025 (11 mo. ago)Be very careful when purchasing a property and you get a last minute call to say there is a higher offer if you can beat it its yours. And on the other foot will try and knock the price of your property down to get a sale. Nice and smooth to your face but trust is so important in business and I would never trust him again. You should have my details on record as I dealt with you several times on behalf of my parents. Unfortunately they were very trusting and didnt want to make a fuss. Now they have passed away it is important to others that I share this review to help them.
9th Oct 2025 (6 mo. ago)Very professional from start to finish, valuation was spot on for the area and marketing photos, content etc, excellent. House sold within 6 weeks. Very quick response to potential buyers enquiries, gave me updates etc, all the staff were very friendly, helpful and experienced in their field. Price/fees were on par or better than other local agents and they accompanied all potential buyer visits, feedback was comprehensive from the viewings and was very quick i.e. within hours of viewings. When we accepted an offer a letter of sale confirmation was received within 24 hours and they contacted both parties solicitors to get proceedings started. Overall using Mallard to market my property was a very easy and quick process at a competitive price with all departments being professional, friendly and experienced, would highly recommend Mallards.

The first viewer put an offer in immediately which I accepted . I was kept informed of everything happening from start to finish . Such lovely friendly efficient staff .I cant rate them high enough honestly . They were so helpful .
14th Sep 2025 (7 mo. ago)The house was in immaculate condition, realistically priced despite over-valuation and it sold itself in a very short timescale. Therefore the agents charges, although lower than other agents’, did not reflect their effort.

It was amazing how your staff like Aled, Amy Hayley , Kathryn and a few others have work so hard to make this sale happen. The updates and follow ups given to us were exceptional. 21st Apr 2026 (7 days ago)I only give 1* as you can't give 0*. I strongly recommend to avoid this place. We recently bought a house with them and it was such as bad and stressful experience from the very beginning. As we have gift money for deposit from our parents that live outside the UK, they had to do International transfer which took a few days (booking appointment etc). We informed agency when they will receive deposit confirmation and they still chase us every day and remind that if they won't receive it someone can bit our offer. Before we put our offer we have been told there is no chain but after few weeks when we were ready for completion date we had info that "chain above their chain is not ready yet" so we had to wait additional 5 weeks. To speak with person who was dealing with our purchase we had to phone the office and person was never available and our messages was never passed to her. Before signing the contract we wanted to double check the house and first we had to give them reasons why we want to double visit and then our appointments has been cancelled 3 times at the visit date when we already booked time off at work. After sale I send few emails and never received any replies. Very unprofessional and poor service. 20th Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)Not impressed they put people working before people on benefits tell you if your on benefits you can't afford the property even though you will get housing benefit and iv noticed on quite a few reviews on here they blame the landlords for everything half the reviews on here are probably from people they know or friends with them im glad im not renting from them- 6th Jan 2025 (1 year ago)The staff were very helpful and supportive. It is very easy to keep in touch and I frequently popped into the office. 27th Mar 2026 (5 weeks ago)THE RUDEST ESTATE AGENT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS IN MY LIFE! Usually you would expect to be welcomed to to a property you are looking to buy, invited to park on the drive so you can see what it would be like to live there. Not Claudia Romano, who arrives 1 minute before the appointment, shouting out of her car door, "I'M THE ESTATE AGENT SO I GET TO PARK THERE!". And then, once we have driven around and finally found somewhere to park, has the cheek to tell us that we're late and we will not have a full appointment - when we were there first! Prospective sellers - avoid at all costs!!!

As first-time buyers we were in safe hands, from the numerous viewings we had with Calow Evans to completion of our new home, we were incredibly grateful to the team for being proactive and helping with any queries we had. Their genuine and candid approach meant that we never felt pressured with any of our viewings and when it came to the legal aspects they were always more than willing to assist where possible. Where there were issues within the process, communication was fantastic and explanations and effective solutions made the issues minimal. To those looking to buy whether you're first-time or well-experienced, I'd highly recommend giving Calow Evans a shot!
