10th Apr 2024 (14 days ago)Although we didn’t end up buying through Connells in Eastleigh (we bought through their Romsey branch), Dan, Hobbie and Hayden could not have been more helpful. They took time to understand our needs, explained everything in as much detail as we needed, and even gave honest advice relating to properties being sold by other agents when asked (those other agents, incidentally, didn’t appear to have the level of knowledge Connells do). We truly felt like Connells were working with us to find the right property at the right price, rather than just wanting to sell to us. Highly recommended from a buyers perspective.

I had a massive issue on the night of the 27th of March when storm Nelson hit. I tried to secure the sliding door that goes to the balcony and the mechanism system just broke whilst the door was half opened. I had hailstones and water coming inside the flat + the awful winds. I couldn't sleep that night but I contacted Mitch earlier in the morning and explained my urgent situation and how I need it urgent help and he was really amazing. He understood the urgency of the issue and made sure to coordinate a maintenance team to help fixing the sliding door (provisionally) so no more water could come in. 9th Oct 2023 (6 mo. ago)- Original listing price was too high, I could see that the Agent could not - Communication was hit and miss - Reactive with their marketing, only really made changes after being repeatedly chased by me. - We accepted an offer which fell through - These things happen however the Agent didn't seem to have a clue as to what was going on with our buyers leading to our property being left off the market for 6 weeks needlessly, whilst assuring us the sale was safe. - Received a revised offer from our buyers, did not pass this on just rejected it on our behalf, nor were we informed that the buyer was dropping their offer by 20k - should have been a massive red flag - Lied to us on a number of times including saying we had refused delivery of a for sale board which we did not - Didnt seem to be interested in trying to push a sale, the attitude was 'the right people will come along'
17th Dec 2021 (2 years ago)We recently purchased a property through Savills that should have been a smooth process based on a small chain however for various reasons outside our or the buyers control it was far from it. Hayley was an angel and acted to keep our sellers calm and ensured we finally reached a completion date. Would absolutely return to Savills if we are brave enough to move again in the future!

27th Mar 2024 (28 days ago)In the past few months, I tried to buy a property through an agent. I sent many emails but got no replies. When I called, they always said the property was already sold. Even when I saw a listing on Rightmove and called them, they said I couldn't view it and would have to wait over two weeks. This hasn't just been my experience, but also that of my friends. They say the staff are not helpful, especially with arranging viewings. It seems they don't want buyers to see properties, and it takes too long to schedule a viewing. This service is not acceptable, and I can't recommend the company.

They managed well dealing with a probate situation, incompetent solicitors and Christmas timetables. The sales team were sensitive to uncomfortable situations and their closure team was tenacious and undertook the necessary steps to keep the momentum going. I would easily recommend them and wish them all the best with their future sales. It's nice to have a local company deal in their local area of expertise, rather than dropping in from afar.

6th Apr 2024 (18 days ago)Do not rent any property associated with Nexa especially if you are young!! We have had endless issues since renting through Nexa properties which they are still yet to acknowledge/resolve. These issues include damp within the property (black mould and mushrooms growing), leaking boiler, no hot water for days at a time, lack of security (windows that do not close), we were also without a shower for 3 months. If you are a young person they do not attempt to fix or resolve any issues you have until you threaten the council or not paying rent!

We have 2 small children and nothing gets repaired, the shower doesn't work properly the washing machine is draining into buckets among several other issues that affect our daily life unfortunately we still have 9 more month to go.
18th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

30th Jan 2024 (12 weeks ago)After making the tough decision to sell my property, I then had an even more difficult decision to make in choosing which Estate Agent to list with. Through experience, I knew which agents that I definitely did not want to use and this left me with a handful of options to consider. I met with 3 different Estate Agent representatives and I knew immediately after my consultation with Oliver Chandler that I wanted to use them. Not only do they have many years of experience working in the industry, they also valued my input regarding valuation, the 'process' to take in adjusting to the market and most important of all; the urgency to get my property onto the market. My property was listed the next day! Oliver Chandler gave a genuine and personal service that is lacking in most industries these days, particularly the Estate Agent business. They went above and beyond in dealing with all aspects of my house viewings, sale and purchase. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Do yourself and favour and chose Oliver Chandler as your Estate Agent, you will not regret it.
