Rupert Dickinson from the Putney office has always been very helpful in his dealings with us in letting and managing our property. He is both proactive and responds quickly. He has been able to find tenants for the property and to manage handovers very efficiently. He is always a pleasure to deal with.
After my brief encounter with Madeline Cundy (Maddie) I think it is not surprising as to why estate agents so frequently have a bad name. Not only did she cancel the viewing I had made 4 days prior, 10 minutes after I had arrived in the branch; she proceeded to mispronounce my name twice - despite being corrected. The blank expression on her face and monotonous tone of her voice during her very unenthusiastic apology made this even worse. She explained that she had tried to call me the day before to cancel, but had called the wrong number; good practice would have been of course to follow this up with an email and or text, which I received none of. When I had originally spoken to her on the phone after she received my rightmove enquiry, she ignored my questions which were listed and then seemed baffled and annoyed when I asked her to answer them again. She also mentioned she would like to take me on a tour of various properties Foxtons had to offer in the area, the details of which she was going to send me through that afternoon, which I never received. All in all, I think anyone reading this can agree that this is appalling customer service and I would hope that buyers and vendors alike would think twice about using Foxtons or Maddie.
Lauristons has been the most helpful agency I have dealt with in years. Definitely a strong competitor to all the other agencies across UK. Great, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Would definitely use them again!
If you want your deposit back please please don't use these guys,My advise would be don't pay your last 6 weeks rent. We are in the prossess of seeking legal advise and will update this review in the next few days when we know more.

Dorota was a delight from start to finish and made what is normally a stressful moving experience a walk in the park. From initial contact, to greeting us with a smile on her face when we viewed houses together, Dorota provided excellent service throughout. We have had countless questions and queries and she has help answer and facilitate conversations with our new landlord expertly. She's been amazing from the first phone call to checking up on us after we've moved in. Could not rate her higher - absolute delight.
I have always managed my Saturday viewings so that my schedule is properly arranged. Unfortunately I have been waiting at one property for more than 15 mins without anyone contacting me. I called the office just to find out that this property is under offer!! No email, no phone call or voice mail to let me know about the situation before that. She asked me whether I still want to view the second property as booked with the same person and I agreed. I have been waiting at the front of the property for awhile which is fine. I asked about the details. She said is Illegal to tell me how much for service charge and ground rent. She will email to me later. Noticing my shocked face..She asked “any problems?”(With a serious face) - I do not see any point of arguing with her. Until now I have not received any email from her about the details of the property as promised. I have wasted a lot of time with someone that is unprofessional and has an attitude problem! I definitely not deal with this branch anymore.
P.s.Basic manners is important. Please learn how to say apologies or sorry - it would be appreciated more than saying
Great service and lots of effort from Samantha. I have changed my brief and each time the response is both helpful and very professional. All in all an excellent service which is much appreciated.
All we now need is to find the right property.
Used to be a good agent, they just tarnished their reputation by supporting a project very detrimental to local residents -the Pergola on top of Putney Exchange which will be the worst nuisance-. The fact that theirs employees used their professional Putney address to pose as locals is very deceiving. Not sure they can be trusted anymore, shame.
I can not rate highly enough both the sales and lettings teams of this office - they have always been incredibly helpful, knowledgable and provided us with complete confidence that our property is in safe hands.
We were looking to rent a flat and found Douglas & Gordon online. We put in an offer but never heard anything back! Not even an email to acknowledge or let us know what happened...
We arranged two viewings for 2 flats in the same building with Eleanor D. (Ellie) and I expressed interest; She said that she'll give me a call once she speaks to the property manager. The next day I emailed her with an offer and all the details we discussed and later on chased with a phone call to make sure she received it. She had received it and said will email me back shortly... It's been two weeks and still no contact/ reply from her what so ever and not returning my call! I find it highly unprofessional and rude really! Will never use them again and would definitely not recommend to anyone.
Thanks for all the help marketing our flat. The service provided in such a short space of time was great and the photos of your photographer really showcased the flat.

The do not follow the law at all, they are only concerned with getting money, not with the legalities of the lettings rules and regulations.
They have allowed one of the titleholders to let a property even though it is illegal to let a property in England without the consent of both (or all) titleholders.
Upon bringing this to light with them they have only backed up there client and have prohibited any communication past or current , even happily aided their employing titleholder in holding possessions stored in the loft to ransom!
All the while insisting that they are legally bound to there "client" based on this illegal initial employment.
Steer clear if you want to avoid certain trouble!
