My partner and I were under an incredible time pressure. Which wouldn't be hard except that we are both highly particular about our living arrangement.
Karan at foxtons came in with a lot of confidence which I was initially wary of. However every promise he gave was fully backed without a hiccup along the way. In a field thick with lies and empty promises it was a breath of fresh air to work with Karan who was quick to respond to any query.
Contacted them two months ago looking for a flat. A guy name Tom was very nice on the phone but not once in person. He argued that I said my limit was 1,300 pcm while I said 1,200 pcm. However, he showed us 4 flats, none of them under 1,300 (the cheapest was 1,350), insisting in that "the normal thing is to spend the 80% of the salary on the rent. Well, that may be your case Tom, but I don't want to struggle every month to pay my bills. He rudly insists so much on this that he even took a calculator and started calculating how much money we would still have after paying 1400 for a 1 bedroom flat near Portobello Market (btw, I thought the limit supposed to be 1300...). He also added that we will not find a 1 bedroom flat for less than 1300, unless we go to live to heathrow. Well, guess what Tom, we find it in Hackney for 1150, and it is not the crappy flats you showed to us (one of them included the landlords -an old couple that, I guess, wasn't expecting having two girls living together- living on the second floor of the building). I am not saying this the experience you will get with Foxtons. Not at all, at the same time colleagues from Foxtons Archway, Ealing and Greenwich were being incredibly kind and professional with us. I just believe this particular "Tom" from Foxtons Notting Hill is only used to work with wealthy people that would pay whatever they asked for a old, muddy, crappy flat in Kensington. It's fine, just tell me from the begining and don't go wasting my time.
Very professional. Gaby was very responsive and helpful in the purchase of our flat. We were able to get answers quickly to our questions. Communication was smooth. She made sure we could gain access to the flat, when needed. Gaby was on top of the process, and was definitely a plus to get things going.
very disappointing service from the start to the end. Lack of communication and when they contact you they dont track any of your issues so you have to repeat over and over again what is the issue. Wasted so much time and money with this agency!
I recently bought my flat with the help of Driss at Chestertons. Driss was amazing and helped every step of the way to make this the most fast and easy purchase i have ever done, completing in 4 weeks. I have bought several flats in London in the last 10 years, but i have to admit this was simply the easiest and fastest purchase i have everdone. Highly recommend Driss and his team in Hyde Park. Thank you!
The "service" received from Chestertons Hyde Park office is literally so bad it cannot conceivably be called a service.
An agreement was signed by both parties on a prospective sale agreeing to commission of 1.25%. The property was sold and Chestertons sent an invoice charging commission at 1.5%. When I refused to pay the difference, the South African sales manager Dylan James turned up at my house and literally tried to kick my front door in. My teenage daughter was inside and terrified. Mr James proceed to loiter at my front door for the best part of an hour - smoking cigarettes, shouting and threatening violence. Upon eventually returning to his office he called me and threated to employ heavy-handed debt collectors if I didn't cough up. I refused to pay a penny more than the rate agreed. Mr James eventually and ungracefully accepted.
This firm is arrogant, dishonest, and inefficient.
It was my first time renting in London and I was very pleased with all the help Sam Faid MARLA gave me through the process. She was very helpful and always on the phone when I had many questions. Thank you I highly recommend
The worst experience ever! Be prepared to involve your lawyers before signing anything with them. They are the worst authorized delinquents! Incompetents and thieves! They only do their interests! I strongly discourage everyone to cross their door.
Fraser helped us find our amazing new home in the Lancaster Gate area, thank you
I have known and dealt with Stephen Fairfax for quite a few years now and am happy to say that whenever I requested his opinion, I got it straight, without dressing… for want of a better word…
Due to this, I was happy to introduce friends to Knight Frank Hyde Park who have since entrusted the sale of their flats to Stephen's Hyde Park office.
I have also been introduced to the letting office and got another acquaintance to use your letting department who are currently letting their flat in Maitland Court.
Stephen also introduced me to Knight Frank Finance LLP where Andrew Mansourov is organising a mortgage for me at this moment.
A good, efficient and professional team I'm happy to continue working with and to continue introducing friends to.
Thanks Paula O.- although new to the company - I appreciated how swiftly you answered my questions and requests for help, and most importantly how thanks to you - things got fixed in the building in a timely manner.
I chose Kay & Co (now part of the Berkshire Hathaway family) to market my rental property in W2. Unlike the other (larger) firms who viewed the apartment, I really felt that Hannah and Alexandre in particular understood my requirements as a client and they found me the perfect tenants - actually before the property even officially went on the market! They were/are great to deal with and have a real knowledge of the Hyde Park neighbourhood. It’s been a pleasure to work with them and the rest of the Kay/BH team, including Michael, who now handles the day to day management of my property. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for a property agent/manager in W2/W1.
