I didn’t know the area at all so I was going in blind and ended up viewing the flat following a suggestion from the agent. It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for! There were numerous delays due to a break in the chain on my side but the support and communication from the sales progression team was great and although it took longer than expected it still didn’t feel too stressful!
21st Apr 2024 (12 days ago)Avoid at all costs! REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I would give 0 stars if possible. One year ago I expressed interest in a property and signed a contract with them. The contract was legally supposed to turn into a rolling contract but less than two months left from the end of the fixed-term part, they tried to force me into signing another fixed term contract with an unfair rent increase. Taking side with the landlord, they issued a section 21 notice and I moved out but now they ask me to pay the rent for the duration I have not lived in the property and had no access to it (because I handed over the keys to them upon moving out).

3rd Mar 2024 (9 weeks ago)Im shocked at the level of lack professionalism disreguard of potential tennents aswell of lack of care. I arranged a viewing for saturday. Its a good job i called up to confirm and check the address. Turns out my viewing had been cancelled as property was gone. No one called me to update me. I would of been standing out side waiting in the rain and no one would of been coming. To add insult to the matter, when asked why i wasnt informed i was told there was 40-50 people viewing, they didnt have time to call so many people. The lack of care and whatever attidtude is some what concerning. So basicaly we dont care about letting you know you been cancelled. Leads me to wounder if they are the same with tennants. If something needs replacing or fixing will they even respond?

18th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
