Terrible experience!!! Completely screwed me over, and left me without a place to live.
You initially have to pay £300 to have any offer put forward, this gives the security of no further viewings and no further offers, while this one is being considered.
The landlord then 'accepts my offer'
They then tell me that someone else is interested and put an offer on the table (having viewed it before me, they got around the 'no viewings clause;) and that they could move in sooner than me, then putting pressure on me, even though my offer had been accepted by the landlord.
I was confused as I thought no other offers, until mine was declined.
Then said they were obliged to tell the landlord of that persons offer, which would have meant they also took £300 off that person, even though my £300 was already paid and that was meant to ensure the only offer on the table.
So the landlord is now aware of 2 offers, even though I paid £300 to have no other offers put forward.
I got them pressured into moving in quicker, even though Simran informed me the time frame was ok.
As my offer was 'accepted' I sent all my personal information, bank statements, pay slips, then heard NOTHING after sending.
For a whole week.
So they have ALL my personal information. No one called me to update me or tell me what was going on, just that they cannot get hold of the landlord.
So he completely went offline, after wanting to fill the flat quickly, he was all of a sudden fine not to hurry the process and get me signed.
Had to keep calling to find out what was going on and why after sending my information I wasn't hearing anything.
Not one of the team ever called me first.
They never reached out to me and let me know what the delay was. I always had to call.
My £300 was meant to ensure no further viewings, but they were still arranging viewings - I got my friends to reach out.
They said it was for the top floor flat, but 'my' flat was still on the market and they responded to that ad, not another advert.
Simran was quick to email back to arrange that viewing, but still hadn't reached out to me, to inform me why the delay happened.
I felt as if they found my desperation to get the situation sorted funny and were mocking.
They knew I had someone moving into my place and never cared to ask why the landlord was delaying and felt like it was all a game to them.
I have attached a photo of the agent arranging a viewing, knowing I had paid my £300 and sent all my personal and bank information to them.
Not care in the world that I had to move out of my place.
The only time they seemed interested is when I pulled out of the process!!!
They quickly refunded the £300, why so quick? Did they not have to clear with the landlord?
Who was not responding? The quickest thing they did was get rid of my 'accepted offer'
Don't let Simran negotiate for you either, she is incapable of doing her job.
Then she goes silent as soon as you question what's going on and makes Aaron take all the calls.
