7th Jul 2026 (22 days ago)Before check out of a rental property, Belvoir said the living room needed repainting & the house should be professionally cleaned. I done both of these things & then after check out, they tried to charge nearly £2,000 for the whole house to be repainted. I negotiated for them to lower it to the deposit amount which they agreed as it was around £1,100. Shortly after I had mail go to my old address so I went to collect it. The new tenant confirmed the house had not been repainted.

8th Jul 2026 (21 days ago)I honestly can't praise the help, guidance and ongoing support I had from Shipways property management during a very rare issue for any of the team to comprehend managing. The case was very complex in regards to getting the issue rectified immediately. It was a case of bats in the loft, a new boiler needed but laws having to be adeared to. Tom at property management was so supportive throughout the whole 2 month saga that comes with 'bat conservation' laws and a protective species. He was a constant throughout it all. Checking in, apologetic although it was an issue out of his, mine or the landlords hands. He bridged a gap between authorities outside of the usual duties, to make sure the situation was dealt with as soon as possible, for all parties involved. Over the past 2 months he really has been a valued help, support and fully appreciated. I couldn't have expected any more, so thank you!Connells - Birmingham City

Holland Broadbridge stands out as genuinely the best we’ve worked with.<br><br>Everyone in the office has been incredibly helpful, responsive, and kind throughout our tenancy. We’ve dealt with Millie from the beginning, who has been wonderful, but everyone we’ve encountered has been so helpful. When a repair was arranged, the team went above and beyond - not only sorting the issue we knew about, but fixing an additional problem we hadn’t even expected. Little moments like that really show you the kind of team you’re dealing with.<br><br>Their contractors have been efficient and respectful too. It’s been a genuinely great experience from start to finish, and we’d recommend Holland Broadbridge without hesitation to anyone looking for a letting agent who actually looks after their tenants. They’re the best in Shrewsbury, and we feel lucky that they’ve made our experience of returning to this beautiful place so welcoming.

14th Jul 2026 (15 days ago)Absolutely appalling experience – avoid Connells if you value honesty and transparency.<br><br>My experience with Connells has been nothing short of a nightmare. I feel completely misled, trapped, and let down from start to finish.<br><br>When Jon came to value my property, he never clearly explained that by signing the paperwork I was committing myself to a 26-week sole agency agreement. Instead, I was rushed through the documents and repeatedly told it was simply their “standard procedure.” At no point was the significance of being tied exclusively to Connells for six months properly brought to my attention.<br><br>If Jon had been transparent and clearly explained that I would be locked into a 26-week contract regardless of whether Connells performed or not, I would never have signed it.<br><br>Once the agreement was signed, the service was incredibly disappointing.<br><br>Over the course of the agreement, Connells completely failed to sell my property. They repeatedly brought viewers who were clearly not in a genuine position to buy. Some didn’t have suitable employment contracts to obtain a mortgage, others hadn’t even sold their own properties, and many simply appeared to be wasting everyone’s time. It felt like they were more interested in increasing viewing numbers than actually finding a qualified buyer.<br><br>The communication was equally poor. After almost every viewing, I had to chase Connells for feedback. Rather than keeping me informed as you would expect from a professional estate agent, I was constantly left waiting, calling and emailing just to find out what had happened. It was exhausting and incredibly frustrating.<br><br>As weeks turned into months with absolutely no progress, I felt completely helpless. I had lost all confidence in Connells’ ability to sell my property, yet because of the 26-week sole agency agreement, I couldn’t simply instruct another estate agent without potentially facing financial consequences. I felt trapped in a contract with a company that was delivering little in return.<br><br>To make matters worse, when I raised my concerns, Connells showed no willingness to acknowledge how the agreement had been presented to me. Instead, they simply hid behind the small print of the contract and insisted that because I had signed it, I was bound by the 26-week term. There was no accountability, no understanding, and certainly no attempt to resolve the situation fairly.<br><br>Looking back, I genuinely believe the emphasis was placed on getting my signature rather than ensuring I fully understood the long-term commitment I was making. Being told something is “standard procedure” should never replace giving a customer a clear explanation of a six-month contractual obligation.<br><br>The whole experience caused unnecessary stress and wasted months of valuable time during which my property could have been marketed by a more competent and proactive agent.<br><br>If you’re considering using Connells, my advice is simple: be extremely careful. Read every single word of the agreement, ask direct questions about any sole agency period, and don’t let yourself be rushed into signing anything. Once you’ve signed, you may find yourself locked into months of poor service with very little you can do about it.<br><br>I would never use Connells again and would not recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, transparent, and customer-focused estate agent. My experience was overwhelmingly negative from beginning to end.

4th Mar 2026 (21 weeks ago)I had mixed personal reviews prior to my contacting Dourish and Day but I will NOT using them to sell my property as I'm appalled at the "it's not my job" attitude. I will be contacting the estate agency that sold my parents bungalow as they were proactive and cheaper fees! They refused to let myself, or my property agency, know the date/times of Dourish and Day availability for a valuation so an appointment could be arranged with my tenant. They also refused to make ONE phone call and contact the tenant directly as Dourish and Day had misunderstood what my tenant had said upon initial contact. My agent informed me that they have tried making contact but are awaiting a response from Dourish and Day which Dourish and Day have denied. When I requested an update this is the response "We will not move forward until they call us with the tenants availability for us to attend as it is their responsibility to clear things with them."

16th Jul 2026 (13 days ago)Oakmans did not sell my house ? Not sure why it’s saying they did your end. They were ok at the start but, photographer was great really friendly . Found them hard to communicate with, always someone different and they didn’t seem to know what was going on. The team were pleasant enough just think they have too many properties and you get lost amongst it all. Felt like it was just a numbers game, stack as many as possible and see which one sells.
