Being a first time landlord with no idea on how to get started renting my property, they were and have continued to be super informative, supportive and always on hand to reassure & answer any questions I have. Even when the pressure was on with a tenant leaving early, they somehow managed to find a new tenant & have contracts signed within 24hrs of listing. Outstanding service from the team! 30th Mar 2025 (23 days ago)Very disappointed with Hern & Crabtree. After exchanging contracts, my emails were repeatedly ignored—including a simple enquiry about professional cleaning. Post-completion, I requested the “Sold” sign be removed from my driveway, and despite repeated emails, it is still there three weeks later. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of basic communication is unacceptable, especially after completion when support should still be present. I would strongly advise others to avoid this agency—there are far more responsive and reliable estate agents in Cardiff. Edit: To clarify, my issue was never about whether professional cleaning was standard, but about the complete lack of response to multiple emails I sent after exchange—none of which were acknowledged. I also find the phrase “we welcome honest feedback” inappropriate, as it subtly questions the accuracy of my experience, which I can fully evidence. My review is fair, factual, and based on the poor communication and delays I encountered—particularly the “Sold” sign still being in place 3 weeks after completion.- 24th Oct 2024 (5 mo. ago)I had a great experience with Mercedes for my house search, viewing and letting processes. They were fantastic throughout, in particular when my buyer dropped out, they were able to find me a new buyer within about 24 hours. Annamarie was very friendly and great at keeping me updated throughout the process too. A special mention too for Simon, he is so knowledgeable about houses in the area that I was looking at buying. It seems like he knows the history and details of almost all houses in Whitchurch! He was also very patient when I asked him for advice about properties I was interested in and helping me find what I was looking for.

8th Nov 2024 (24 weeks ago)Having bought our property with Peter Alan over 7 years ago, we recently used their Mortgage Advice service when reaching the end of our fixed term. Our Mortgage Services Consultant, Georgina Butler, was excellent. She was knowledgeable, well informed and able to help guide us through the process efficiently, whilst also helping us plan what the future of financing our home may look like. I really appreciated her direct approach. She answered all of our questions with honesty, grounded in an understanding of the challenges of current economy for homeowners and families, and with the intention to help as best as she could. At no point did we feel like there was any sort of "sales pitch" or pressure to commit to services that were offered, the decision on how to progress is entirely your own, and we felt we were able to make those decisions confidently with Georgina's advice. I would definitely recommend contacting her if you are unsure about your mortgage, have some decisions to make about how to manage your mortgage and feel a bit overwhelmed, or simply dont have the capacity to do all the searching and shopping around on your own - she saved us alot of time and unnecessary stress!

Claire (Williams) was also very effective progressing my sale. They both engaged with ne fully and no query was too small. Really pleased with communications throughout. 16th Sep 2024 (7 mo. ago)We have only been at Lettings angels since July, however they have been brilliant so far! As soon as we report something they’re at the house straight away to fix it, have replaced old mattresses for us and any other requests we’ve had- they’re so on it! The girls at the office are so friendly, so would definitely recommend to anyone who is uncertain about what landlord to go for next year!

He was always on hand and went above and beyond his duties on several occasions, ensuring the smooth running of the transaction. Dealing with some tricky solicitors and some difficult interactions, Richard made the process as easy as possible. Would definitely recommend.
18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

I recently finished a property and wanted to rent it out and have it managed, so reached out to Kayleigh Ashford from NEXA. Kayleigh was so quick to respond to every question I had, and had my place rented out after the first viewings - for more than initially expected too! Will continue to work with Kayleigh on future purchases, could not recommend her enough!

25th Oct 2024 (26 weeks ago)This is now my second time using Martin & Co Cardiff, having purchased my home with them just over 2 years ago and now selling my home as I move in with a partner. Once again Martin & Co live up to expectations in their area of expertise, managing to secure a sale in record time for my property where another agent wasn't able to. Henry and Astrid were both great to work with and got everything done with no fuss - and act as a great bridge between buyer and seller. Highly recommend.
18th Mar 2025 (5 weeks ago)Flying Keys have been amazing through out, we moved from Sri Lanka to UK in 2023, then in 2025 we have left UK and moved to Australia, until to date, communication has been splendid, these guys go out of their ways to help in every way. I have spoken to them from Sri Lanka before departing and after leaving UK I have spoken to them from here in Australia the communication is still the same. There is one puticular person who stands out from the crowd, that's Jaz, she has been incredible throughout and help us in many ways, I have no words. She is a big asset to the company, and previledged to have her in their team. Jaz was very practical and helped us through out our tenancy with utmost urgency. We have reached out to her from Australia after we left the property, she still revert back to us in lightening speed, gave us good refferals so it helps us immensely in securing a property here. Flying keys have been tremendous for us, we really are going to miss you guys. We have found a special place in our hearts for the Welsh people. Truly remarkable community. Cheers Gayathri & Roshane

Can't believe if you ask for a viewing after 5pm on a weekday or anytime at a weekend its virtually impossible! Not sarah - she did viewings 7 days a week. I'm sure she'd do viewings at 4am if I asked her! Really friendly and always kept in touch.
