28th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)Matthew Stacy was the seller's agent in my recent purchase. Matthew's client is quite dis-organised (e.g. misplacing the keys for the flat on sale), but Matthew dealt with this with a sense of humor, eventually recovering the keys. During the transaction stage, for a while, my solicitor was acting quite slowly. I was able to get hold of lender's inquiries, and saw that one of the items was an electricity certificate. I figured that rather than waiting for my solicitor to talk to the seller's solicitor, I should just ask Matthew. He got the certificate for me the next day, and my solicitor was shocked when receiving it from me. The valuation turned out to be lower than my offer price, which meant that the bank would loan me less money. I was really out of cash by that time. and wanted a price reduction so that the sale would go through. Matthew was able to negotiate with the seller, and I got the price reduction I asked. Overall, a positive experience... Except that Matthew's task is not over even though the sale has completed - a fob is missing - and hopefully, Matthew will help getting it for me!

Both myself and my husband have always found Statons staff ethos and work ethics honest and open. Our house was recently sold by Statons very quickly given its size and cost. Adam who handled our sale was very professional throughout. We would like to thank Adam for a smooth sale matching us with the right buyer and we would definitely recommend Statons services.

14th Nov 2023 (6 mo. ago)I would not recommended to anyone thinking of renting from Chamberlains in Enfield. Sadly we we have to leave a bad review as we rented from them since 2017 and all was ok until we moved. the property was not in great shape when we moved in but it was habitable and convenient for us. We were never late and always paid on time and our yearly inspections were done and no issues. Sadly when one of the owners passed away the decision was taken to sell the property - they informed us and served us eviction papers which was actually quite insulting given our previous excellent history of renting from Chamberlains. We moved out as requested and did not think there would be an issue with getting our deposit back of £1700 but appreciated that it would take some time. The property was inspected by a female manager and once the house was empty emptied and Chamberlains were then saying we were not entitled to any of our deposit stating a whole list of complete fabricated things that needed doing. The property was very old - the kitchen probably dated back to 1980's and the carpets had all most likely been fitted in that period also. We then took our case to the Rent Guarantee Panel and discovered they had planted items around the house which were not ours - taken pictures and said that we had left things behind. Items planted were garden chairs, flower plants, cutlery, plates and various other items. We had lived in the property for 6 years and had always kept it cleaned and maintained. The moment the deposit was due back to us there was a problem and a big one at that. Very dishonest and underhanded to keep money from two very hard working people. This is why estate agents have such bad names and reputations. You may wonder why I have taken the time to write this -its is because we only received a small percentage of our deposit. i have struggled long and hard whether I should leave a poor review about our treatment and to prevent it happening to others. Yesterday my husband drove past the property and took pictures of a skip outside where the property has been stripped and completely gutted. My question to Chamberlains today has been where did our money go? Was this fraudulent as the property was not rented out again and has been completely gutted - I presume by a buyer? I would advise to check out the agents before you rent to avoid it happening to anyone else.

27th Apr 2024 (18 days ago)Was lucky to have IC PROPERTY manage the flats I currently live in. I found them to be reach-able and have a fast Response. They dealt with some major issues that a past management had ignored for a long time, also massively improved the building and had a community approach with some issues we had going on. All in all professional, helpful, efficient. Recommend.

We first used Home Counties back in 2019 when we were purchasing our first home in Potters Bar. Richard kept us informed throughout the process, was always accommodating with multiple visits to the property, and supported us throughout the whole process. We recently engaged Richard again as we wanted our house re-valued under current market conditions. Again, Richard was extremely accommodating, visiting us at short notice, and promptly giving us a valuation. We have built trust in our relationship with Richard and Home Counties, who we feel are genuine and honest in their approach to helping their clients buy/sell homes. It can be a stressful process moving/selling, but having an experienced, well established, and honest team working for you is invaluable. She was completely transparent in the way she operated from the start (a refreshing change from other agents) and offered us solid advice on how to get the sale done. On top of this she was a pleasure to work with and absolutely determined to get the best possible outcome for her client. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Private Realtor.
