Didn’t think to ask there client if they would show buyers about No customer service whatsoever
16th Sep 2024 (18 weeks ago)Really hopeless when it comes to getting viewings for rentals or updated information. They say they’ll call and don’t etc … Many of the staff are rude and blunt. I saw several reviews that they’re not good for landlords or tenants and in my experience i wouldn’t recommend and definitely wouldn’t use to rent.
17th Nov 2024 (9 weeks ago)This company did not back us (the tenant) over disputes when we vacated a rental property they looked after. They tried to intimidate us into giving up our full deposit (when we ultimately got half back when it went to dispute) when we provided evidence that suggested we were in the right. They ignored our emails when we needed their support and I’m not even sure they know the laws very well. Poor agent.

10th Dec 2024 (6 weeks ago)I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Connor from Harris & Wood in Colchester, and I cannot recommend him highly enough as a letting manager. After a significant incident at our Bardfield Road house, Connor stepped in and provided unwavering support at every stage. From the moment the issue arose, he was proactive in addressing our concerns. He arranged for multiple plumbing companies to tackle the extreme hot water problem, ensuring it was resolved quickly and efficiently. What impressed me the most was his dedication to finding alternative housing for us during this challenging time. Connor's commitment went above and beyond. He was always available to answer our questions, whether it was day or night, and even while he was on holiday. His responsiveness and genuine care made a stressful situation much more manageable. In a world where customer service can sometimes fall short, Connor truly stands out as a remarkable professional. He is not only highly skilled but also an incredibly good person who genuinely cares about his clients. Thank you, Connor, for all your help!

They reassured us and made sure we were looked after and understood everything. Louise (our sale progresser) also kept us up to date with any progress during the sale. Julie from the Martlesham office was also especially lovely and helpful.
7th Jan 2025 (15 days ago)I would like to express my deep disappointment with the service provided by Agency. Unfortunately, our experience with this agency has been extremely frustrating and unacceptable. Firstly, before renting the apartment, we specifically asked if there was any mold, and we were assured that there wasn’t. However, to our surprise, despite heating the apartment daily, the condensation on the windows never disappeared—which also raises serious concerns about the quality of the windows themselves. It was only after purchasing a dehumidifier that we realized the real issue: the indoor humidity level was an alarming 89%, and the walls were so damp that the plaster was literally deteriorating. Renting out a property in such a state is completely unacceptable. Secondly, the agency was aware of the shower issue from the beginning, yet they failed to fix it before renting out the apartment. Now, after several months, it still hasn’t been repaired. What’s even worse is the complete lack of communication—we have to constantly call them for updates, yet nothing gets done. We expected a much higher standard of service and basic maintenance. I strongly advise others to stay away from this agency unless they are prepared to deal with unprofessionalism, poor communication, and a complete lack of responsibility. Siloam place tenants ?????

Would recommend anyone better than these guys!

I really appreciated receiving updates and messages through the WhatsApp chat they set up. I would thoroughly recommend Hizzy to anyone looking to sell their home, and will definitely use them again if I move again in the future!
18th Mar 2024 (10 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
18th Nov 2024 (9 weeks ago)I first heard about Jackson and co when I was selling a property and was dealing with another estate agent, who I was not very satisfied with. Then Joe of Jackson and Co put a card through the door offering his services. I decided to give him a ring and check him out, this was the best decision I ever made. Joe has been absolutely fantastic, he helped to negotiate the difficult path to selling a property. He gets very personally involved so you don't feel like your own your own, like some other estate agents. He is always available at the end of the phone to iron out any issues. His enthusiasm and professionalism have been outstanding and I can't recommend him enough. We are so glad that we went with Joe and would definitely use Jackson and Co again next time we sell or buy a property. So I definitely recommend Jackson and Co. Outstanding, 5stars.
13th Jan 2025 (9 days ago)Tom was enthusiastic and engaged during the valuation, and him and his team were great with viewings. The quality of the photos and particulars for the house were so good. The walk through tour really added an extra advantage given the unusual layout of our house. Very pleased to have received an offer in less than a week of being on the market. Fingers crossed it all goes through!
21st Dec 2024 (5 weeks ago)I sold my house using Grace Estate Agents. They were very professional from the start. I had Darren pop over to evaluate the property and take photos. They were able to give me regular updates on viewings and offers put forward. Once the offer was accepted, Karen was able to give me regular updates on how things were progressing. Karen contacted our sellers estate agent and was in contact with all solicitors involved, she kept on top of our case. Also thank you to Sophia who kept us in the loop when Karen was not available. I would highly recommend Grace Estate Agent
