24th Apr 2024 (3 days ago)Defensive, uncooperative and plain rude in some cases. Not to mention charging excessive amounts for admin fees most agencies wouldn’t come close to. Please avoid especially if you are a tenant. Unsurprisingly most of their 5 star reviews look fake.
10th Apr 2024 (17 days ago)Don't bother doing business with Stirling Ackroyd! They would advertise a place at a certain price, take 20 offers on it and then entertain every person who placed an offer to bid against others which will ultimately raise the asking price of the propriety by 20%. They are doing nothing but damaging what is already a difficult real estate market. Communication is extremely poor, they won't keep you in the loop nor inform if your offer was successful or not. To be frank I doubt they are even presenting all the offers to the landlord, they would most likely show off by putting forward only offers way above the asking price. I've been working with other agencies who have made it very clear they would be unable to do any viewings or take offers once a propriety is under offer but Stirling Ackroyd works like no one else on the market and I mean it in the worst possible way. If you are a landlord or a tenant looking for your next successful rental please take your business anywhere else but Stirling Ackroyd.

After what had been a disastrous year and experience for us trying to sell our property, we immediately loved Catherine! Her warmth friendliness and professionalism was nothing like we had come across in the market. We could really sense her passion for what she does and the fact she genuinely cared about us and wanted the best for us. We did not hesitate in appointing PS&P to sell our property for us which was done swiftly and smoothly, all in a professional way - there were no issues encounters and this really made our busy lives stress free and the experience enjoyable. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to sell or purchase!

She was extremely friendly, patient and has explained everything in detail upon the viewing. As a first time buyer just starting looking, this was really important for me and the advice provided invaluable. Would highly recommend using Martyn Gerrard as a vendor as well as a buyer !
9th Jan 2024 (16 weeks ago)Alex James and Callum were very kind, helpful, patient yet where necessary and appropriate weren't afraid to be direct and plain with me, and in Alex James's words it was to help me and I don't doubt that at all. He provided useful, helpful tips when I was experiencing feelings of being overwhelmed to be calm and collected yet respectful towards our new and upcoming landlord and general other tips for how any tenant is informed of things. I'm not surprised they've got such positive, spectacular reviews. It's a family owned and run estate agency too but overall have felt greatly supported and helped throughout the referencing and anything else they were to do to help our landlord. I have no problem recommending this estate agency, they seem very well knowledged, experienced, helpful, kind, patient yet also very honest. Thank you to Alex James and Callum you've been an honour to correspond with. Anyone who can be as good with me as they have been is worth this recommendation and honest review.

25th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)Worst rental experience of my life. Property was extremely mouldy and GHE did very little to resolve this. I submitted a letter from my doctor because I developed asthma from the mould but no resolution was offered other than cleaning the trickle vents, sending us bleach and the purchase of a second large dehumidifier (where we were expected to pay for all the electricity- £75 per month extra per dehumidifier). The agents clearly want to make as much money as possible with little regard to their legal requirements to ensure a safe environment for their tenants. There was clearly a deep structural issue as the walls would be wet in the morning and no amount of cleaning/dehumidifier could get it under control. You can see in the third photo spots that look like oil - this was mould that covered every wall of the flat. We had to throw out a lot of possessions as they were mould damaged. In total we think we spent over £3,000 on the mould problem. GHE refused to pay for a cleaning to get this under control. I wish we had never rented with GHE as it’s done lasting damage to our physical health. I’ve rented in London for 8 years but this has been head and shoulders worse than any other property. GHE have no redeeming qualities.

Not only were they incredibly professional but had a genuinely positive and proactive approach to marketing the property where others had failed. In depth knowledge of the market, carefully matched us to a most suitable buyer with matching timeframes. Completely transparent approach and one week was all it took! We are over the moon and more than happy to recommend to anyone and everyone.

22nd Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)Last time I rented anywhere was over a decade ago in Manchester, so I was a bit intimidated by the prospect of entering the cut-throat world of renting in London. Fortunately, it was Gyan that answered the phone, and we couldn’t be happier with the service he provided. Gyan took the time to find out exactly what was important to us and only sent us details of properties that were the right fit, which really helped as we were both working full-time and based in Manchester meaning time was at a premium. Gyan’s communication was great throughout via phone, email and Whatsapp depending on the situation. Viewings were always on time and very professional. The standout for us was that Gyan was infinitely patient and never too busy to answer our queries.

My interaction with Jennifer has been exceptional; she is the only individual at Home Finders who truly listens and demonstrates genuine qualification. Others I've encountered have caused stress and failed to meet the standard, leading me to question their suitability for the company. Home Finders should aim to recruit more professionals like Jennifer to ensure sustainability and deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction.

From getting viewings through to securing a sale we received ongoing support and were kept fully up speed. Toby worked closely with ourselves and the purchasers to ensure the whole process went as smoothly as possible and we would not hesitate to use them again. Nobody enjoys the process of moving, dealing with the chaos of making offers and counter-offers for properties, encountering agents who are either dishonest or evade the truth, or being subjected to considerable stress and pressure. This agency is the stark contrast to all of that. This agency, along with its staff, has been extraordinarily helpful, patient, and most notably, refreshingly straightforward and honest. I will always rely on them in the future, as I felt completely trustworthy throughout the entire process and believed that they were genuinely collaborating with me to discover the best solutions to my dilemma. Speaking of dilemmas, they have gone above and beyond to assist me with my specific situation, which required me to be referenced and approved to move within a two-day period. They accomplished this by working extra hours, liaising with multiple agencies and banks, among others, all while doing so in the most supportive manner. To anyone facing the daunting task of finding a new home, especially under tight constraints or challenging circumstances, I wholeheartedly recommend this estate agency. A happily settled London lessee ????

We’ve just started renting a property with them and both the estate agent (Maddie) and the property manager (Shireen) have been absolutely amazing. We had lots of questions and at every stage the whole team was helpful and efficient. Despite having a few small issues with the property, Shireen and Maddie have gone out of their way to sort out a solution for every single one as fast as they can. We are very excited to be renting with them and so far have been incredibly happy with the amazing staff. Thanks again Maddie and Shireen, you have both been amazing ????
