Although we ultimately decided not to proceed with a purchase at this time, I felt it was important to share how impressed we were with the exceptional service we received. 22nd Oct 2024 (7 mo. ago)Where to start...We had an appauling service from another estate agent, and by the time we contacted Downers, I had reeached the end of my tether. I was not sure if we were heading into more of the same. However, Downers have been an absolute tonic. Nicky Padbury, being the first person I spoke to, kindly listened to all my worries (almost like some kind of therapist and poor lady), and she put me at ease right away. Nicky then introduced us to Richard. Richard took control and eased us through the marketing and sale of our house in a most professional manner. The photography was excellent; Richard took his time and picked the best weather to take the best shots. Once the brocure has been approved, bookings for viewings started coming through in volume. We had more booked in the first couple of days than we had seen in 3 months from our previous estate agent. The house sold within 10 days of hitting the market with Downer. We really could not be more pleased. Thanks also go to Fraser, who kept us informed of progress and was happy to answer any queeries we had as things moved forward. What a great team!

28th May 2025 (15 days ago)I recently had to move flat from Maidenhead to Reading. Katie, Bethany and the team at Walmsley made the whole process incredible easy! They took me through the property and had great knowledge of both the flat and the area. Once I decided to move, they made the paperwork simple and clear, explained everything to me clearly, always turned up on time and gave me complete confidence that they knew what they were doing and could be trusted. I'm happy to recommend them and will use them again if I ever decide to move from the great flat they helped me find!

28th May 2025 (15 days ago)I would highly recommend Farmer and Dyer to any family and friends looking to sell or buy. When getting our house valued Tom was honest and reasonable about the valuation and tactics we could take to sell our property. We also took the opportunity to view some houses with F&D and other local agents to see if we liked their style of showing around prospective buyers. F&D stood out as they were not pushy and felt honest and genuine about the properties. Our house did not sell within the first two weeks on the market, as the house had a feature clearly stated on the floor plans that put off many prospective buyers on viewing. Due to needing a quick-ish sale because to life circumstances but also needing a set amount for the house, I discussed tactics with Simon. Simon was a great help during this period. Whilst he made it clear he would follow what we wanted for selling the property, he was honest and gave advice based on experience. We sold the property quickly afterwards. On buying a property F&D was quick in giving us details of properties coming on the market meeting our needs. When biding our offers felt like they were prioritised. Whilst the property we eventually bought wasn't through F&D, we felt very supported and cared for during this process. Simon was very prompt in responding regarding queries within our chain. And, despite the typical delays due to solicitors I felt the sale of my house went as smooth as it could have done.
A fantastic park with lot's going for it, it is huge. It has a paddling pool for the kids. It has an area with big stone balls that are in fact fountains which the kids can play in. It has tennis courts for those that are interested. It also has the Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses which are a must see if you are into plants of any kind, I have written a separate review on this, and also I took quite a few pictures, if you are interested please go to my review Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses. Also today I discovered the Walled Garden which is so beautiful, you will absolutely love it, it's well worth a visit, I have posted some pictures of it on here.
