Now that tenant has bought their own house and Hamptons have found another excellent tenant at a good rent with only a day's income lost. Great service by Charlotte to all parties in this transaction

David was a true professional throughout the transaction despite some time passing to completion due factors well outside his control. Top job and would not hesitate to recommend!

From the point of contact, through to the presentation and subsequent viewing of the property, including the process of providing offers together with an outline of the overall conveyancing process and timescale, was professionally and expertly explained, planned and implemented. The process of arranging and accompanying viewings, as part of the purchase process, through to the contract completion of the property, was handled with due care and diligence to us as buyers, to ensure that there was continuity of communication with all parties including the solicitors for both parties. The service provided by the team at Robert Leech, Lingfield, specifically Christine Taylor as lead negotiator along with her wider colleagues, ensured that the purchasing process went as smoothly as possible and any queries raised were dealt with promptly and efficiently right through until completion. We would have no hesitation in recommending Robert Leech to other potential buyers; or sellers, and would use their services again in the event that we would need to either purchase or sell another property.
18th Jun 2022 (2 years ago)Wanted to view a few let properties. Was called and was told someone would get back to me after asking if I had pets and they never did. The property was advertised falsely too upon speaking with the agent.

In particular I would like to mention Megan, who goes above and beyond to assist landlords to maintain their properties in good order. Thank you Megan.

10th Aug 2024 (6 weeks ago)I have just removed my property with Bairstow eves in Caterham and based on my recent experience I would not recommend them. Initially communication was good with regular updates however that was only for the first 2 weeks [Thank you Jonathan for that :) ]. I hardly had any viewings on my property and of the 3 viewings in 8 weeks that I did have I had to chase for feedback which I would have assumed would be standard practice for an estate agent to provide. It seemed they were not very motivated or interested in my sale and they blamed the low viewing numbers on ‘the market’ and ‘ the election’ . Whilst I know both of these things have had an effect on the market it seemed that this was an excuse being given to me due lack of proactivity. There didn’t really seem to be any proactive action being taken to insight any interest. I asked for my viewing figures on Rightmove and Zoopla and I am still waiting for this . I was told that all of their flat viewing numbers were low as a justification. Apart from listing my property on the sites there was hardly anything else that they did. Communication was little to non-existent and i had to call for updates. I often felt when calling for updates I was being a ‘bother’ to them and was often rushed off the phone. I didn’t feel I was being listened to throughout the process. On the couple of occasions that I did pop into the branch I didn’t experience a very friendly environment and the times when I did call there was never really any update, and I was often told things like ‘oh someone did enquire but ill have to check and get back to you if there has been anything else’. This was quite a regular response from them. Due to low viewing numbers, I asked if they felt there was any changes that could be made and only at that point was it suggested that we move pictures around and change the property description and even after this I had to chase for feedback to see if this improved anything. I would have thought that making changes etc would be something that I wouldn’t have to push myself. I feel I wasted time being listed with them and they did not make the experience an enjoyable one. When I said I wanted to end my contract with them they didn't seem bothered or even ask why I wanted to remove my property instead I was told 'that they had my details on file should they have suitable properties for my onward purchase ' (How Ironic? !) I only wish I had done more research on other agents in the area and not listed with them and I would encourage others to shop around before listing with them as this has set me back.

Celia was fantastic, she was always available when I needed a question answered, she stayed in regular contact with me from the very first viewing right through to completion. Celia went above and beyond her duties, she helped speed up the process by speaking to solicitors and chasing things up for the vendor and I. Nothing was too much trouble and he was always happy to answer any questions we had at all. I must add that all the team we got to speak to were very friendly and professional and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Dan provided excellent feedback on how best to market my flat and made the correct call on the valuation that would ensure a speedy sale (very important when your flat is vacant and you are paying a mortgage). Adam the sales manager has kept me informed throughout the sticky process of selling a leasehold and got it all over the line as soon as we were all ready to exchange. I have no hesitation in recommending Ralph James to any buyers or sellers out there … they stand out amongst a sea of other estate agents in the area!

He has an in-depth understanding of the local market and knew exactly how to stage the house to maximise its appeal. He quickly secured a buyer in a great position and was without exception available for any questions and to keep on top of the solicitors on both sides. He remained level headed through what can be a very stressful situation and I would unreservedly recommend him!

15th Aug 2024 (5 weeks ago)Really disappointed with the service at Greenaway Residential - East Grinstead. Greenaway acquired spaces in a private car park in East Grinstead, which as a very local resident with nowhere to park, I enquired as soon as I heard. After months of chasing every week for a space, after being told the owner of the car park hasn’t signed the contract, or the owner hasn’t passed on the keys, along with other delays, I finally heard from a neighbour that they had managed to secure a space through Greenaways, I called the office right away, and was told all the spaces had suddenly gone. I was so disappointed to hear, as due to being a keen chaser for a space, I was told by employees at Greenaways that I was “top of the list” to get a space after chasing the most, and was also told they they hadn’t heard from a lot of others who initially enquired about a space so “they’d dropped off the list”. I now have no options to park at my flat, and I’m just really disappointed with how poorly managed the car park spaces have been.
