6th Oct 2025 (5 weeks ago)From the minute that I walked into Bairstow Eves in Dagenham, I felt that I was taken seriously; buying alone can be daunting so I really appreciated the friendly welcome from Libby Young (one of the sales negotiators). Despite being in the middle of something else, Libby invited me to have a seat and she took some top line details from me. I half expected not to be contacted (this had been the case with a competitor estate agent down the road), but Libby didn't disappoint. Rather than sending round robin and lazy emails with property information attached, Libby would always call me with headlines on every property that she felt matched my criteria and then she would follow up with photos / more details. It was always about working together to find out what I liked and suggesting things that I may not like on paper, but that she knew I would appreciate in the flesh. She got to understand me pretty quickly. I really appreciated this personal touch. Having Libby on location for the majority of viewings proved to me that she was invested. Her kind ear, openness and empathy made it easy to have frank conversations and she didn't mind me dragging along various family members to have a nose either! Libby and I didn't end up cracking the property search together and while I was happy that I had found somewhere, I was genuinely sad that it hadn't been via Libby; it's a testament to her really. My 'Bairstow Eves Dagenham' experience was as good as it was thanks to such a well informed, personable and passionate sales negotiator. Thanks for everything Libby!
24th Oct 2025 (17 days ago)We were first time buyer and they helped us to find our dream home. Highly recommend Reeds Rains Plaistow branch. They all are amazing and in particular I cannot recommend Dea highly enough! As a buyer, purchasing can be stressful for very different reasons vs being a seller, but Dea made the entire process smooth and pleasant She was incredibly professional, proactive, and always available to answer questions or provide updates. I could expect a response within minutes every time I got in touch. Dea’s excellent communication skills and genuine care for her clients set her apart. she truly goes above and beyond. Her expertise and guidance were invaluable, and I always felt she led with the best interests at heart for both parties. I truly felt I had 1 to 1 support the whole way through the purchase. If you’re looking for an estate agent who is knowledgeable, has superb communication, and is exceptionally reliable, Dea is the one! Special Thanks to Neldie and Mia aswell.
31st Aug 2025 (10 weeks ago)From the initial valuation visit and no pressure sales to the amazing quick sale and constant updates throughout I found Beresford’s Gidea park, very professional and a pleasure to deal with , I would not think twice about recommending the team or using in the future should I have the need .

Always helpful, explaining it all throughout the 5 month journey. If it wasnt for her,we would have struggled at times as she knew more than our solicitor at points Thank you Helen if I could buy you a drink it would be a big one.. 18th Sep 2025 (8 weeks ago)My mum has been a tenant in this property for 14+ years, and for the last 8 years the kitchen has been literally sinking. There is severe damp and mould under the floorboards, with slugs and silverfish crawling through the kitchen, making it completely unusable. Despite a new landlord taking over 5 years ago, nothing has been done to resolve this. My mum suffers from COPD, and the mould/damp spores are directly affecting her health. We have raised this countless times by email, threatened to involve Environmental Health and the Ombudsman, yet we have had no response. The only time they contact us is for rent payments, while completely ignoring the dangerous living conditions. This level of neglect is unacceptable and unsafe. I would not recommend this estate agent/landlord to anyone at all.

6th Nov 2025 (4 days ago)UPDATE Les, The properties we wanted to view are still showing after some 3 weeks as unsold. Your staff who answers the phone keeps fobbing us off each time we call up to view a property with promises to get back to us which has never happened. This has been a deliberate policy. She ask us what is our budget and if we give a figure in line with the guide price she doesn't follow-up with the viewing request. It's like asking us how much we intend to offer on the property, which isn't something we want to disclose even before viewing the property. We don't get this behaviour Leonard & Hill and other estate agents who are very professional. .......................................... My wife and I tried to arrange a few viewings with this estate agents on several occasions but each time they tell us they will speak to the property owners and get back to us but they never do. This is despite the fact that the properties we want to view are within our budget. Very disappointing.

Good advice on how to proceed with presenting the property and how to proceed with the sale. Clear understanding of the market, likely buyers and their prefences. Would recommend.
3rd Nov 2025 (7 days ago)Ross Chimes has helped me with selling my Mothers house and now since last December he has helped me look for houses to purchase. He has been so kind he even helped with advise and homes not for sale within his portfolio. His knowledge is exceptional. He is grounded and listens and never gave up in looking for me and my husband. We asked for so many different things I had started to wonder if this home even existed but Ross found it and made it ours. He has given us a life changing outcome. We had wanted to move for 7 years and it’s now finally happening all due to Ross and his attention to detail. Everyone at the Hornchurch branch have been so kind every time I pop in as well. The whole company from the co founder and down are outstanding, I recommend D&H to all.

From the moment we all met, he was understanding & sympathetic to our situation, while also being completely honest with what needed to be done for us to end up with the best solution. Despite technically being the lowest valuation we received, I’m glad we trusted the Offers Over strategy they implement as the results spoke for themselves & we ended up with a great buyer who went through to completion. Would highly recommended to anyone.
