3rd Apr 2026 (13 days ago)When I decided to sell my property, I contacted several local estate agents. I decided to go with Cockburn not only because their fee was competitive, but also because I felt they provided the most realistic valuation. It’s also good to support a local independent agent rather than a national chain. I trusted their post-offer support. As we know, the process can be extremely stressful, and a lot of things can go wrong, but Catherine kept communication between all parties clear and sent me regular updates from the buyer’s side and all the conveyancers involved. This contributed to a successful completion. Did I mention that Cockburn found the perfect buyer within days and negotiated the price like champions? I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome or service. I can wholeheartedly recommend Cockburn. Thank you.

From start to finish the team were professional, responsive and very knowledgeable. They handled everything efficiently from marketing the property and arranging viewings to keeping us informed. The entire process was very smooth and well managed. The team worked hard to secure the sale and we highly recommend Acorn Welling to anyone looking to sell their property. Many thanks to Matt, Lucia and Will for their hard work and excellent service.
23rd Feb 2026 (7 weeks ago)So far we are very happy with their service ( still in process ) dealt with Ann McDonald who has been on the ball with everything even to all our questions, nothing seems to be too much trouble. Will continue with revue when all is complete.
2nd Apr 2026 (14 days ago)The Robinson Jackson staff were very helpful throughout our househunting and purchase. They kept the wheels greased at both ends and made for a smooth process. We hope not to have to use them or any estate agents in the near future for obvious reasons, but if we were to move we would happily use them again.

8th Apr 2026 (8 days ago)One of the worst experience in letting properties.They are good on selling/buying properties,tricky and ignoring emails without response,lack of flexibility and not willing to communicate personnel at Abbey Wood branch!The handling of client funds in my situation has been particularly concerning.

Luke handled everything from viewings, to tips, to the marketing and on going communication. Luke is a real people’s person who’s professional but approachable always. Luke was able to get me more for my property than rival agents valued it at and it was a smooth interaction throughout. Very grateful and happy, would recommend the agency and Luke to anyone thinking to buy/sell in the area. I’ve sold and purchased properties before and this was my best experience. Thank you.

It was a long process with many ups and downs but Chattertons were supportive throughout. Jen’s support was especially invaluable, she was always available to answer any queries and was so proactive in communicating with us or problem solving where needed. The nicest and most helpful agent we have been shown a property by. We did not put an offer down for the property we saw, but we will be looking with Sadie going forward.

5th Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)Recently bought a house through David Evans & Co and dealt mainly with Mark. He was brilliant from start to end! Such great communication and a pleasure to deal with. So much better than the estate agent I was selling with, which was one of the big London agents and really didn't care. You could tell that Mark's clients matter to him. If I sell this house in future, I will 100% be using David Evans & Co to sell it.

Stephanie in particular deserves a mention as her communication skills ensured we were well informed throughout the process, which was at times, frustrating, as is often the case when buying and selling homes. 7th Apr 2026 (9 days ago)I knew Barnard Marcus had an agency in Peckham, it felt local. Liam (Small), the Manager, immediately booked an appointment to visit my apartment to discuss the sale. Liam clearly knew the building, knew the figures for all recent sales of apartments in the building. I was certainly invited to discuss the price at which I’d like to sell the flat. It was clear that Liam and Barnard Marcus knew how to sell online. All very professional, a price was set.
1st Apr 2026 (15 days ago)We bought and sold our property thru John Payne Plumstead. Will evaluated our property and provided me with confidence that his team had the knowledge and skill to provide excellent service. His evaluation was fair and balanced, he didn't try to oversell like other evaluators. The property we wanted to buy also happened to be listed by the John Payne (Chris). The process was very lengthy and exhausting at times , due to issues in the chain above us. Will and Chris did an excellent job, kept us informed at all times and truly stepped up when we hit a hurdle. I would recommend anyone selling or buying a property in SE18 to use this wonderful friendly agency. Thanks as well to Katie (head office) for her assistance with the endless paperwork.

She guided and kept me updated each step of the process, liaised and negotiated a fantastic deal with the sellers! Looking forward to completing the sale.
2nd Apr 2026 (14 days ago)The sales team were genuinely lovely, no issues there at all. The lettings side however was a completely different experience. The referencing company they use is honestly shocking – it does not have a single review above 1 star. On top of that, my referencing actually showed as completed and successful on their system, and they even confirmed over the phone that I had passed. Despite that, the estate agents told me there was still an issue. To try and move things forward, I offered additional payslips and bank statements, and said I could even get them officially stamped by my employer. They refused to accept any manual documents at all, which I’ve never come across before with any agent. Instead, their process requires you to give third-party access to your personal data - bank account and HMRC account, with no alternative option, again a red flag as this isn’t a legal requirement due to obvious GDPR an security reasons. I wasn’t comfortable with that, so I explained I was happy to provide everything needed, just not by giving that level of access. When I spoke to Hayley in lettings (who was very defensive and not helpful) , I called to ask what I could to help them complete the process and also said I didn’t understand why standard documents weren’t being accepted when they’re normally more than enough - although if I’ve passed referencing no further docs should be required anyway. The immediate response was that my application would be rejected and my holding deposit could be retained if I didn’t agree to share my data that way, which didn’t sit right with me at all. I called again to follow up after the referencing company confirmed I had passed all checks (i contacted the referencing agency directly incase there was a miscommunication or error on their website), and was then told that the person I had spoken to worked in a different office… even though it was the same number and office, which just added to the confusion. Later on, I was told the landlord had actually decided not to proceed anyway – which completely contradicted what I’d been told earlier about referencing being the issue. To be fair, they did refund the holding deposit in full, which I assume is because the situation wasn’t handled properly and they realised they legally could not retain my deposit as I passed all checks. Overall, the whole process felt confusing, inconsistent, and unnecessarily rigid. I’ve rented before and never had an experience like this.

23rd Mar 2026 (24 days ago)After years of being routinely disappointed by incredibly poor service of two large and well known managing agents, I contacted Eldridge Estates and they have been nothing short of brilliant. I cannot overstate how helpful Azadul was and has continued to be since he came to view my property. He arranged repair work, found great tenants quickly, and went out of his way to make things easier for me frequently. I wish I’d contacted E.E. years ago. It would have saved me countless headaches and a lot of money too. I high recommend them.
