Our experience of selling our home was oustanding, Susan and her team were always polite, professional and well informed. They were always making things happen up and down the chain. KFH were head and shoulders above other agents we used (we tried selling through 3 others), we could not recommend them more highly.
With our property, we've been given an opportunity to view it very early (even before an advert was put online) which finally resulted in an accepted offer after 7 months of being on the market. So the experience of working with KFH itself was good. However, the solicitors recommended by the agency (Beverley Morris & Co) were ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE and UNBELIEVABLY slow. Following that advice was a mistake.
We used Kfh to buy our flat in Lee and they were extremely helpful, efficient and far better than my experiences of other Estate Agents. Daniel Webster was our rep - he was really friendly and always on hand with any queries or help that we needed. I would definitely recommend!
I rang with the simple question of "Do you do probate valuations?" I could not get a straightforward answer. The employee, who had refrained from giving her name, wanted to know my property details, whether I intended selling through them, which road the property was in? On asking again "Do you do probate valuations?" I was still unable to get a straight forward reply. Wouldn't use them for anything after this. As if dealing with Probate isn't upsetting enough.
I am thoroughly impressed by the professional behavior and personal care shown by Miss Roberta and Mr. Scott while letting out a beautiful apartment in Lewisham. Coming from overseas, it was more difficult for me to arrange everything which could not have been possible without the help and support of Roberta. Be it the communication over email or giving time over phone to understand and resolve every possible query that I had. Highly recommended.
Whilst I originally scored Mann with 5 stars I have unfortunately had to alter my review. Mann, and especially Marina were extremely helpful in getting us set up in out new flat. They were quick to respond and happy to help with any queries we had. However, the experience we have since had with Mann's property management company Countrywide could not be more of a parrallel. Several of the issues we have experienced can be found below:
1. Our property manager Keely is extremely slow to respond or action our issues.
2. It has taken 45 days to resolve one problem. We have a list of issues, several of which we were told would be addressed before we even moved in, that are still unresolved.
3. Their '28 day maximum' response rate is a lie, as absolutely none of the issues we raised months ago have even been recognised.
4. We had an emergency issue with our electric boiler which was quite clearly communicated as an issue with the switch, and yet we were given the emergency contact details for a plumber. Proving that they clearly don't actually read my emails.
5. They obviously haven't carried out a full safety check of the property. When we personally reached out to the emergency number to get an electrician, upon arrival he told us that the fuse in the boiler switch was not fitted properly and that the switch to our water pump didn't even have a fuse. Both of which are dangerous and not compliant.
I am open to having my opinion changed and if the Mann or Countrywide team would like to get in contact to address some of these overt issues I would encourage them to do so. I will be personally addressing these with Keely or her manager soon and will provide an update as to whether my complaints are listened to and actioned upon.
At the end of the day, I am a customer paying tens of thousands for this service and I am far from satisfied.
This relates to Westwood Property Services, who I believe fall under Hunters at Blackfen/Sidcup. I strongly suggest that you avoid this company. My experience with them was nothing but aggravation. Having rented with them for 2+ years - paying on time and being a good tenant, during which they forced me to suffer through excess property damp - at the end of the tenancy they tried their best to take unwarranted chunks of my deposit, ignoring all logical argument and simply doing what they wished. One example included myself damaging one curtain a little and agreeing for this to be deducted, but this agent, through greed, sought to replace the curtains for all of the windows in that room. Equally, they tried to pin broken things on me that were fully intact and working when I left (as reinforced by the thorough inventory check out) and provided receipts without dates, seeking to deceive. An agent called Pam is the source of this flagrant disregard of reason. You'd do well to avoiding renting with this company and particularly via Pam. Rent elsewhere.
On the lookout for a new place to call home, we were so nervous about the many obstacles we thought we'd be facing. And having talked to other estate agents, who weren't exactly the friendliest, this nervousness only became worse. Until we had a chat with Lilia at Acorn! Lilia reassured all our worries, and found us a wonderful place well within our budget. She guided us through every step along the way, with honest and positive feedback. Joy also deserves a mention, as she was really quick with the (digital) paperwork and responding to our queries. In all, we can highly recommend Acorn and can't thank them enough for all the help they've given us!
After being with another agent for 8 weeks and no sale or offers we were contacted by Acorn...thank goodness we were! After only two days we had an offer and we sold. They were excellent throughout. Zac in the Eltham branch was practical, professional and fully contactable. He kept us informed of progress of our buyers and was brilliant to deal with. We would highly recommend Acorn as a great Estate Agent to do business with. Thank you for making the stressful time of moving so easier for my wife, children and I!
