Arranged a viewing for a flat to purchase, left work earlier and once I got there, the agent did not have the keys to the flat and kept knocking on the door for 10 mins, hoping for someone to open the door. Eventually a neighbour came out informing us, the tenant was at work. I had to leave without viewing the property. Very disorganised - I would never use them again. Never received a call nor an email with an apology. No respect for customers' time.
13th Jun 2024 (6 weeks ago)I have been looking to rent a flat in South East London. I registered with Galloways because I knew they were a local independent agent with good knowledge of the area. Aston arranged a viewing on a flat in Penge. He let me take my time to walk around the flat and take photos. He was also very patient in answering my many questions. Penge is not an area I know well, so Aston thoughtfully suggested if I wanted to get a coffee there is a cafe and garden centre in the area, he showed me on the map and even walked me in that direction. This was such a thoughtful and helpful thing to do, and helped me to get more familiar with what is available in the area. Very different to some agents who seem to be in a rush to get to their next appointment and dont have time to answer all my questions. I have already recommended Galloways to a friend who might be looking to sell her house and buy something else in the area.

26th Jun 2024 (4 weeks ago)My customer experience has been awful. I got in contact with Emily about virtually viewing a property and was told i’d be sent a Whatsapp message. After not hearing back for two days, I called to give a gentle reminder. I was told ‘Emily is on the phone , she’ll call you after’. 3.5 hours later, hadn’t received a call so I rang again and was told ‘Obviously she’s busy, she’ll call when she gets off the phone’ then the girl caught an attitude and hung up on me? I completely understand it’s a busy office and people aren’t always available but the lack of communication paired with the hostile phone manner is not acceptable. This place comes across as really unprofessional. Edit: I have since been contacted by the branch manager James, who was able to assist me in booking in a viewing. Their professionalism, expertise, and dedication have truly exceeded my expectations. Hunters demonstrated a thorough understanding of the local rental market and worked tirelessly to find reliable tenants for my property. They took the time to understand my requirements and preferences, ensuring that the tenant selection process aligned with my expectations. Throughout the tenancy period, Sarah provided excellent ongoing support, promptly addressing any maintenance issues and ensuring that my property was well-maintained. 4th Jun 2024 (8 weeks ago)Mayfords claim to represent landlords, but it's a lie. The service I've received from them is absolutely appalling. Since December 2023, I have reported a leak from the roof, which has caused a hole in my ceiling. It is now the 29th of June 2024, and they have done absolutely nothing to fix it. They are completely unprofessional and inefficient. I'm talking about Reuben Charles and a certain Christine.They probably spend more time browsing Facebook or on OnlyFans rather than fixing problems around the estate, which is an absolute disaster. Everything is falling apart: the communal door doesn't close, the walls are a disgusting yellow color, the carpet is filthy, and the communal bins are uncovered, giving foxes free access. Every morning, we have to step over a pile of garbage with our kids to exit the estate. Landlords, stay away from Mayfords. They will rip you off. You won't get anything back, and they will surely take your money.

Azra was a breath of fresh air when she greeted us at the property for the first ever viewing, Azra was enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable and honest - she was big part of why we put an offer down. Our whole experience has been incredibly smooth thanks to Azra, she was happy to help anywhere, anytime! Highly recommend!

Initially Jonathan was more positive, credible and knowledgeable about the immediate sales market that the two competitors that I met. When there were some bumps in the road his level headed advice helped to turn things around and get to a positive solution. Really great quality and professional agents!
